A series of five videos that play in succession, going back to the early 1970s. The first video is an excerpt from a '60 Minutes' program from around 1980:

I saw this video not long ago--but the moment I clicked on it (today), I was once again riveted all the way thru to the bitter end.
A hideous demonstration of the futility of lying and trying to cover crimes with vacuously clownish spin. And when one spin doesn't work, they just blithely switch to another as though it's quite normal.
One thing that literally LEAPS out on viewing it is:
* Scientologists are routinely thrust into the obligatory religious role of "actors" reading a script.
* The public relations "scripts" Ron wrote to protect his con game were hideously inept.
As always, I am completely fascinated by the obviousness of the lies, justifications and coverups. And the inapropriateness of the "
apology" as if Hubbard's harmless faux pas was simply having some earnest followers who tried a bit too hard to do good in the world.
It never ceases to amaze me how a Scientologist can become aware of
Hubbard vs. Cooper and not immediately throw down their E-meter and stamp on it until nothing remains except shards of a broken dream.
