As always, shooting stars light up the night. Brilliant stuff!

You gotta wonder about Elron. On the one hand, setting up these little pre-pubescent and adolescent girls in their slightly creepy Lolita costumes; on the other, acting so cruelly to them. It's a very strange pathology, I think. And I know there were boy messengers too; how was he with them? Did they wear bumless white pants and tight singlets or what? And what do you think MSH and the Hubbard kids thought about this little band of devoted followers?

When I got to Flag someone from CMO CW came to see to talk recruitment. In the end I was rejected because I wasn't sufficiently good-looking to be a Messenger. He liked them long-legged and preferably (but not exclusively) blonde. I can't say I was upset about not making the grade. Even as a devoted SO member I thought most of the CMO I'd met were a tad fanatical, though some were good friends of mine.

For the budding “Children of the Corn”, their moment was upon them--a continuing day in, day out moment that I understood from my childhood and my years of interaction with El Ron was probably coming. I knew from experience that these impressionable and so “wanting to please” young girls were about to be judged and their every breath was heavy with the prospect that they might have somehow inadvertently done something “wrong”.

The door to the venue flew open and El Ron, the “OT de OT’s”, strolled in replete in custom tailored white tropical uniform “whites”, blue ascot and polished hand made, black Wellington Boots and Director’s Beret with two white cotton hot pant, halter topped, white patent leather platform boots outfitted nubile “Duty Messengers” in tow. The room was silent as El Ron sat down in Hisself’s Director’s Chair, which was appropriately monogrammed “DIRECTOR” across the back.

El Ron, seated with Hisself’s back to the silent and anticipatory performing talent and facing an array of knobs, lights, analog displays (this was the ‘70’s) and mixing board slide dials launched into a rapid--dare I say frenetic--furtive and “fiddling” examination of the “set-up”. Looking over El Ron’s left shoulder was the silky blond haired nubile “Specialist” Messenger that had spent hours going through a “Checklist” and testing, again and again, the “Settings” Hisself had “CSed” for this “Session”. She was someone’s lovely child and her breathing was chopped, short and shallow and I could sense her heart pounding and racing like a trapped bird held in the palms of a hand.

“Whhaaaa!!!” whined El Ron. The “Bird” waited, I waited, everyone in the room waited as to what would come next. I had heard that admonition before and my heart and eyes went to the “Bird” as her shoulders slumped and her trembling fingers and glazed adolescent eyes searched over the checklist.

“Whhaaat did you do!” whined the OT de OT’s yet again.

“Sir,” the Bird subserviently replied, her mouth dry with fear, “I set everything by the checklist.”

“No you did not!” El Ron whined.

“But I did, Sir,” answered the Bird, her eyes welling with tears. She held the checklist clipboard out for Hisself to see and started to call off each setting.

El Ron pushed the clipboard away and with flitting eyes and fingers fiddled with Hisself’s toy. “There!" Hisself, once again triumphant, announced. From my vantage point it appeared that every knob and dial El Ron had moved around was pretty much back in the same position.

Over the next hour or so a number of “Takes” were recorded and, near the end of the session, the subject talent made a mistake.

“Cut, cut, cut,” snapped El Ron. The take was started over and the talent flubbed again at the same place as before.

“Cut!” boomed El Ron, snapping off Hisself’s headphones and looking around until his eyes found the Bird.

“Whhaaat are you doing?” El Ron blustered at the Bird.

“I didn’t do anything, Sir,” protested the Bird. All of the talent and entourage knew to stay quiet.

The take was started over, and as all of Us have been through before, the talent again blew it at the same point as in the earlier takes. El Ron, The Producer, Director, Master Sound Engineer didn’t even say “cut” this time, slumped Hisself’s shoulders and glared at Hisself’s toy.

“You’re doing something to mess them up.” El Ron pronounced with certainty. “Stop it!”

The Bird stared down her feet. “Yes, Sir,” she answered.

One of the talent suggested a short break be taken to “retune”, the request was granted and after the brilliantly requested break the talent nailed the next take. In my heart I know that the talent didn’t get it “right” for El Ron…they got it “right” for the Bird.

Over 30 years later my Heart is still with that child. I shoulda called that sumbitch El Ron down on the spot. I didn’t do it then…I was afraid for my “Bridge” and was still in “awe” of the “Tech” and trapped and bound by the chains of my self perceived “ignorance” of “OT”.

I'm just wonderin' if you've read any of the so-called LRH "biographies" and what you thought of them. You know, like Messiah or Madman, Piece of Blue Sky, and Bare-Faced Messiah. They all detail various stories and paint their own pictures of the man, his family, and a history of the subject.

I’m taking off on the 31st for about a 2 week walkabout. I was hopeful of dribbling out another installment of “Shooting Stars” before I left but I pro’ly aint gonna get it done at this point so this Thread will most likely be going “dark” for 2 to 3 weeks.

I’ll be checking in from time to time on the ESMB Rodeo ‘cause I just can’t get enough of All Y’all…well, at least most all All Y’all.

Yes it is.

Although it can be tough to take in. The guy who I thought was the "greatest friend to mankind", the guy whose "religion" I wasted 10 years of my life on, turns out to be a complete ass who blames an innocent child for some actor not getting a line right.

I left this organisation 10 years ago and I'M STILL PISSED OFF!

It's still tough for me to take in as I write all this. Some years after I saw Hisself traumatize that sweet child I became a father and raised a few children. How El Ron treated children pisses me off more than anything else about Hisself.

I’m real disappointed in me that I didn’t call Hisself’s ass out that day, so many years ago. Thanks to ESMB I’m callin’ Hisself’s ass out now and will continue to call that sick sumbitch out.

The greatest tragedy of Scn and El Ron’s “Legacy” is the utter contempt and harmful treatment of children…including Hisself’s own.

I guess there are a lot who, when they look back, wish they'd said or done something to put him in his place. What we would have done if we knew then what we know now, 'eh?

My thoughts are that he knew he was mad and he developed the RPF to control those who could see through his facade or experienced his madness first hand and were tempted to react.

Fascinating microcosm of Scientology contained in this little studio recording drama!

At one time in my life, I was writer/director on commercials and hired the talent to come in to perform the script. As everyone knows, the "director" is 100% responsible for eliciting, inspiring or coaxing a good performance out of the actor or voice-over talent.

The idea that Ron-the-Director would resort to blaming someone else for his failure to get a result is not simply amateurish, it's morally repugnant at a profound level.

But, from an aerial view, isn't this what Scientology was all about? A delusional megalomaniac claiming that their "tech" was perfectly workable as it blatantly failed to work? And outrageously blaming others for their suppressive counter intentions, out-ethics, overts or evil purposes as the reason that his "tech" did not work? And all this reprehensible behavior from the man who claimed to discover the data series, an advanced method of finding the "why" and not attacking the "wrong target"? Wasn't "kicking the cat", per his HCOB The Anti-Social Personality, what Hubbard himself was guilty of doing? Of course it was.

What happens in Scientology when the "tech" doesn't magically transport a PC to the state of OT? Unfortunately, exactly what happened to that poor little girl.

The fact is, Hubbard was seriously mentally ill. If one cannot admit that, at the very least one would have to concede that he was an incorrigible liar and manipulative bully.

Clearly his tech did not work on him.

Imagine a man who can't do what he claims to be able to do, and is so dishonest and evil that he would publicly blame and humiliate an innocent child?

Imagine, further, that people wasted their life and their fortunes in trying to "go up the bridge" so they could be like Ron.

Scientologie.....c'est une grande tragédie!

It's actually quite astounding to see how "the Source," the "creator of the Power Processes," could not spot another correct source; but instead could only fixate on and attack and blame a wrong source/target.

Quite amazing to see how nuts-ville he ended up.

I think one of the valuable things about having “Old Timers” around here like thee and me and the others is that we was there, when El Ron was layin’ “It” down. We know, and can show, how ANY problem ANYONE has with the “Tech” is not their fault--”It” all goes back to Hisself and the “Tech”.
