Now y'all got me you tubing Beach Boy tunes! They don't make music like they used to. I love the compositions and the vocal arrangements. (Me, being a pianist, arranger and vocalist). It's ironic that the tallest guy, Brian, has the highest pitch voice.
The lead singer looks emaciated but then people in the 60's were in much better shape back then. They didn't have high fructose corn syrup that makes people nowadays obese.

That was an epic song. I liked the lyrics a lot, and of course, Beachboys!! I think half of my musical education has come from you and Lone Star and Mimsey and Gadfly and Cat's Squirrel on the old thread. Some of the songs I downloaded that you have all posted I remember who posted them and where they came from and what the context was - others I just remember which thread - and others not even that. Sometimes even when I had heard them before, a thread gave them significance, like Little Girl Blue. I did download that one.

Some of my favourite ones from your posts are Little Girl Blue, Ripple, Hold On and Ol' 55 - I play that a lot and sing along loudly - Don't Fear the Reaper, She's a Rainbow, Wonderful Tonight and Layla for Mimsey - Feeling that Way/Anytime, Magic Power, Into the Night and especially Kites Are Fun for Lone Star.

I wish I could find a safe youtube downloader to use now, that doesn't have spyware or malware or adware - I really miss being able to download youtubes to keep.

Their producer and I were talking one night, and his bro Brian came up. I said what a beautiful beginning California Girls had, and could have been a song on its own. He agreed very much, and (trivia!) told me Brian wrote that bit on his first LSD trip. I've never heard it the same since.
