The Know to Mystery...

yeah Spectrum!

That's what it is.

I had a (insert real word for 'cognition' here) today.

Why make it the Know to Mystery Scale?

Sometimes a mystery is neat, solving it, figuring it out, it brings out the best in one.

Knowing better than thinking? Why?... because one knows and does not have to think? So what was wrong with having to think to get to know.

Conclude?

Analyze?

Conundrum?

Riddle?

Another day of freedom, further away from the stuck ideas that keep one attached to the one-sided myopic views that I once had.

Scales can be fun.

When one is talking about temperature.

I like the word Spectrum better.

Maybe someone can come up with a better word than Spectrum.

I welcome it. After all I am not stuck on any no-good rotten scale.

Life is awesome!

 Brainstorm? Inspiration? Explosion of brains? :dizzy: :headspin:

But sure, I do prefer your metamorphical mind-blast of mental outpourings... :hysterical:

So it should be called the "know to can't confront the truth scale"?

Why would mystery be at the bottom of that scale anyways.

Bouncer instruction in implant.. To make you think mysteries are incredibly bad and dangerous. Stifling curiosity and willingness to analyse things. 'Knowing how to know' instead. Duplicate Hubbard to escape mystery condition. Not 'think' about it, that's being in mystery. 'Look' at some 'theta'..

Maybe..

Well of course. Can't "not know" everthing now can we. That would put one at pure effect. MUST KNOW.

Epiphany's a good word.

As to know to mystery and know vs. think, I'm open to the idea of 'knowing' in the sense of a momentary glimpse or even comprehension of 'total reality', as opposed to the deductive, logical and linear concatenation of reality which can never actually 'know', but only approach knowledge.

We use both, and, both have their uses. Science and deductive logic offer us repeatable, reliable bits and pieces of reality that let us construct/deconstruct/reverse engineer local bits of reality, much like pieces of an Erector Set (for anyone who remembers those) can be reliably reconstructed anytime or where into the same mechanism. But, they are not scalable, and, at some point, the larger and more inclusive our erector set image of reality is built, the more it becomes subject to warps, twists and the general limits of the material.

And, 'knowing', as in epiphany, inspiration, revelation offers us a single all inclusive view of reality, but, is so large that it don't fit inside our heads, or, inside a rigorously logical structure, so, such revelations are subject to misinterpretation, multiple interpretations and horribly false interpretations.

Taken together, our inspirations can suggest smaller and limited scopes for our logical and scientific deductions, and, both taken together can allow us to *slowly* approach a rational comprehension of the total that we can never actually achieve in a 'scientific' sense.
