When I was in 6th grade, at an all school Christmas assembly with at least 600 kids singing Christmas carols, the guy next to me, Barry Wright ( I can see this picture perfectly), turned to me and said, "Do you have to sing so loud?"

I saw that movie a dozen times alone when it was in Cinerama, and my parent(s) had to drive me to the City (50 miles away) to see it. It is an all time classic. The trailer doesn't even include the Three Stooges, Arnold Stang (the voice of Top Cat), Jim Backus (Thurston Howell III, Mr. Magoo), Jerry Lewis, and more.

It is a movie that we play at the beach for the grandchildren. It is such a family classic. It is as good as "Bears in the Night"

Just checking in to say hello! I came down with flu like symptons about 5 days ago. Its pretty nasty, the worst one I have ever had. Today, for the first time, it showed signs of abating. By the way, I do not subscribe to the doctrine that all illness is PTS related.

Anyone have any thoughts on that subject?

Last Thursday I was invited to, of all things, a Kiwanis Club anniversary luncheon meeting. I attended along with Candy and Edey. A major city Mayor and Councilman were present and we got a chance to "rub elbows" with some big shots. I knew nothing about the Kiwanis Club except that they usually have a float in the Rose Bowl parade on New Years' day.

They are about traditional old fashioned American type of values...its sort of like the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts for adults. It was like revisiting the society in which I grew up in during the 1940's and 1950's, i.e. baseball, apple pie, Norman Rockwell's view of America, etc.. Most of the people who attended were very friendly and "down to Earth" (meaning being themselves without a lot of pretenses).

Friday was busy, a Japanese Buffet Brunch in Newport Beach put on by Kangen Water starting at 9:30 AM then back to my condo by 2:30 to show my new place to my friend Ken Rothschild, whom I have known since Jr. High School (1953) then to Laguna Niguel's Mimi's Cafe for a birthday to honor one of my newer friends.

After the birthday party ended, Candy and Lorinda, who I attended with both wanted to go to a bar to listen to music and do some dancing. We were all driving together so I had to tag along. By that time, I had heavy congestion in my chest and was already feellng pretty sick. I hope I did not spread the sickness around. So far so good, no one who was at the events with me has come down with it yet. I rested almost all of Saturday, all of Sunday and most of today.

Candy is putting on the first seminar on Feb 5th on the Axioms but she is going to discuss her 3 favorite axioms instead of Axioms 1 to 10. We have about 12 to 14 people confirmed for the event. Candy is calling herself the Facilitator. She will lead the discussion but we are encouraging a lot of dialogue and interaction. We are hoping that it will be sort of like a live version of an ESMB discussion thread. We are letting it run 3 hours with 1/2 hour for a coffee, tea and "nosh" break to socialize and exchange contact info.

I hope to be the Facilitator for a seminar on "The Factors". Needless to say, Johnny has a lot of areas he wants to facilitate as does Candy. The crowd is formed mainly from ex Scios, Freezoners and Independent Field people although there likely will be some new people there as well.

We are hoping that these events will become a third dynamic activity which will occur on a regular basis.

You guys need to put out a flyer with dates and all. That sounds like fun with You and Candy and Johnny all wanting to be Facilitators. It will be like the good old days when I came into Scn in the early 70s. Only this time it will be safe to drink the Koolaid.

Lakey, that sickness has been going around. It has made Carmelo and I miserable too. I am not in good temper after nearly 7 weeks of on again off again cold, cough and laryngitis. I said it was chemtrails again. Not natural to feel like I have allergies this long. I dusted. Opened windows. Threw away old pillows. Used a humidifier. Nothing knocks this out. Maybe Hawaii on the beach in a pristine breeze. Sounds like a good Rx. :bigcry:

With such beautiful lady friends in my space, its hard to tell that I was coming down with the nasty illness - I think their presence temporarily keyed out the illness.

For our next seminar, Hats, we will put out a flyer as you suggest.

I don't know if it would work for you, but it works for me. At the first sign of anything I use MMS....it keeps me from getting sick.

The past 3 years I was very prone to the flu and ended up having to get antibiotics about 3 times a year to get over it and it would last 2-3 weeks. Since I learned about MMS, which was about a year ago, I have only started to get the flu once and used the MMS and it was gone by the next day. It's great stuff....and very inexpensive.

I seem to remember this being really big amongst exes in Orlando. I KNOW the name Jim Humble too. I cannot recall who it was that was so good at explaining all the wonders of it. I WILL check this out FoTi. Thanks girl. :thumbsup: I already got the lowdown on it long ago and forgot about it as I do not get sick much. It is only in the last five yrs that I seem to have gotten alergy symptoms.

What I find interesting about Mary's site is that there is not a single mention of L Ron Hubbard, Dianetics, or Scientology. On the "home" page you will find the statement:

Sounds great, doesn't it? An unassuming, trusting member of the public might well be interested in following up. Unfortunately, what they will find is that Mary is offering "standard tech" and, despite her alleged expertise in integrity, is seeking to lure innocents into the Scientology mindfuck. Apparently she sees no ethical dilemma in tricking people into participating in her arcane religious rites by masquerading her alien-infested spirituality as some sort of "therapy".

As for the scientology connection, so fucking what? Lots of auditors know their craft well enough to help another without delving into the scieno references. Scientology makes extensive use of communication. Are you relegating communication to that category of intercourse that should never be used because scientology also uses it in its techniques?

Your "communication" is a strawman and avoids the real issue here. In some respects, every human interaction involves communication but communication does not need to involve religion, which is what we are talking about.

In this instance, we have a Scientologist committed to standard tech seeking to lure people into unknowingly participating in spiritual rites while simultaneously promoting ethics. Doesn't that seem ironic? Its certainly lacking integrity.

Yes, it is the current thing in NYC as well. Friends and clients reporting in with it.

Not hit me as yet . . . hopefully it misses if it tries.

I think you got the right Rx Hats . . . . sunshine and fresh air! Hawaii sound just right to me . . . that or a good dose of Oz. :p Though I hate the idea of flying this time of year :nervous:
