Gaddafi is a monster. Exterminate him before he hurts innocent people. He wants to cause pain. I say pin Pan Am flight 103 on him and try him as a criminal. I'm so tired or looking back and seeing the harm that one sadistic person caused by reason of their own psychotic motivators. Can we name em all? Power hungry despots have to be co-created. Fear of them contributes to the enigma. Look at the reasons they are in power. Birthright. Military savagery and intimidation for control.
There are so many places we did not help. Our policy to not interfere in the civil revolts of other countries has left us embarrassed over the genocides. It does not behoove us either that we have intervened only when our best interests are involved. Our return on investment.
It makes one wonder WHO is really calling the shots. Who benefits really from our war policies. It makes me feel queasy reaching into the ethers for the truthful answer to that one.
It is tempting to say we did not know the extent of the atrocities until later in the day when it was too late. But did we?. Sometimes where the technologies often used to brutalize were homemade hand bombs and machetes etc, it would not have been that expensive to interfere. But perhaps its only the big toys we want to bring out to bombard with. Going into the jungle in Columbia or the hilltops in Bosnia or the squalor of Darfur would cause the death and wounding of ground troups in guerilla warfare. I am not a male enlisted in the US military so I have not the right to criticize what sacrifices we will make. But I am tired of seeing so many pits where human remains are unearthed by the thousands after the fact and finding out we knew all along but the American public never heard it on the news.

Politicians should not be allowed to vote themselves pay raises and perks. None deserve retirement pay if they fail to balance the budget during their watch.
