Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973
Notice that I said that this thread does not lend itself to naysayers and bashers. It does not say that they do not post here. Two things to note: First, a lot of the naysaying is valid criticism and we ourselves do a lot of it. Second, I am not saying that naysayers are not welcome here because we welcome them with open arms. My point was only that we don't seem to attract them. They point out negatives as you just did, we acknowledge you for that and discuss it with you if it catches our attention.
This type of matter of fact discourse just doesn't seem to attract very many bashers to become regulars here. I participate on the basher type threads and most of the posters there seem to enjoy reinforcement with other people of their same ilk, jockeying to make the funniest, most creative and often off color bashes. Many of the things said are based on validpoints and sometimes the bashing is extremely humorous - although often at some else's expense. A reader can have his chuckles for the day and get his reinforcement to support his attitudes and opinions but usually, though not always, no boats are permanently raised.
It is often short term gratification and relief but seldom produces change or new awarenesses whereas IMO, on this thread one is much more likely to learn new things.

Wait a f.. minute!!!
NAY!!!
Naysayers to what exactly? - Wins from doing book & bottle? Or people reporting to not have cancer because they smoked enough to prevent it? - Or ungrateful basterds who don't appreciete the camaraderie they had in the Sinister Scam Cult of Scientology?
Bashers of whom? - Hubbard? - That inglorious son of a bitch NEEDs to be bashed, as a remedy for public health!
