Hmmm, Condoleezza Rice is the tart that stood before the 9/11 Commission and stated, "How could we have anticipated such an attack by terrorists . . . we had never before suffered an attack on American soil!" . . . . this from the US National Security "Adviser". My response to that is: "Where were you when the 1st WTC bombing took place in '93? (And for which Muslim "terrorists" were prosecuted!)"

The woman is a fraud.

The black guy/woman I most respect and honor is Thurgood Marshall . . . now there was an intellect, and honest and honorable man! Indeed, he was the legal genius and strategist behind much of the winning of due civil rights for black folks in America.

It becomes more real to me as time goes by......that SHOCK is a destablization and 're programming' tactic. You shake up all the things you know for SURE, and what do you have left as core concepts to build on. Like the kidnapped child soldiers of Zimbabwe who were made to commit atrocities.

wasn't it Bush pushing SHOCK and Awe as a means of overwhelming. :omg:

If you ever go through a period where you continually find yourself saying I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING, you might looksee who you are in contact with.

I think this presentation is an oversimplification with several inaccuracies.

First of all, I don't believe that Russia and Western Europe are one power. Russia attempted to absorb Eastern Europe and the whole thing quickly came undone when Russian power had been weakened economically. Russian history has been quite separate from WesternEuropean history.

South America and Latin Armerica is not solidly one power with the USA. Even now, Venezuela, Chile and Cuba are more allied with Russia than the US bloc. Japan, So. Korea and The Phillipines are much more aligned with the US bloc than China and England is vastly more aligned with the US bloc than it is with Russia, not to mention Germany, France, most Western European countries and the Eastern European countries of the old Soviet bloc.

Russia is pretty much its own thing - they have cultural and racial ties and common language roots with the Eastern European bloc but that bloc appears to have a greater desire for liberty and personal freedoms than Russia traditionally does. They were not active in colonizing other parts of the world, for the most part except perhaps in Alaska and of course in Poland and the Eastern bloc countries.

India seems sort of neutral, an extremely large population with a large Muslim minority. They don't fit comfortably into any of the alignments. The closest fit would be with the UK and US but that is only in selected areas. Their national aims are not the same.

The vast Southern African and Southern Asian land mass is now a power in its own right. Much of this region, consists of Muslim countries. Aren't those countries a power unto themselves? They have economic power through oil reserves and there is a unity among them in that they have a goal to spread Sharia law throughout the world.

Well Lakey, 1984 is a book of fiction, and of course nothing in the clip is true. I posted it purely as an illustration of how war can be used by politicians to make a grab for more power, and how propaganda works. Orwells 1984 serves as a warning, and that is where it's value lies.

I think Germany is moving far closer to Russia than you would believe. Other European countries too. For a start, their dependence on Russian energy sources is one big driver of this. The influence of the US in Europe is fading rapidly.

Probably you are right. Obama might have a lot to do with this. His style of leadership and world view are geared to reduce US military power and influence and America's economic clout. He bows down to foreign leaders, is apologetic for America and projects weakness as far as negotiating on the USA's behalf. He wants the United Nations and/or world courts to make rulings on internal US policies and controversies.

Veteran and tough foreign leaders such as Putin aren't caught up with political correctness and are not impressed by naive US voters voting a president into power who had no previous executive or leadership experience. With a president who came almost directly from being a community organizer to being the leader of the free world, how could foreign leaders be expected to respect the US and take us seriously.

Bush also put the US into disfavor with many foreign powers. Bush was too far to the right in his foreign policy and Obama is too far left. Bush's public persona was too much that of a cowboy while Obama's is too politically correct. I don't know about Romney but he looks "presidential" and he has run businesses, been a governor and helped the Olympic Games be successful. You would think that he would make a stronger impression on foreign leaders than either Bush or Obama.

Not far from where I am - just over border, lies Russia. I could drive there in a few hours. The US is a long way from here. Viewed from over here, the US looks like it doesn't know who or what it is, or where it wants to go. It's hard to put one's faith in chaos. I love Americans, but the United States of America? No, thanks. Not what it has become, anyway.

Ah yes, the phony left/right paradigm. Don't get me wrong, there are sincerely dedicated people on the left and on the right. But as far as Presidents and foreign policy goes? Not really. The agenda is being driven by powerful moneyed interests that transcends left/right ideologies. There's the words and promises of candidates, and then there is the reality of what they actually do once in office. The real agenda is not actually up to them as individual leaders anyway.

Obama has turned out to be quite the war monger. He's also signed executive orders over the past year that the mythical Hopey Changey Obama of the 08 campaign wasn't supposed to institute. I'm not going to list them because each one of you is smart enough and capable enough to do the research. When you find information yourself it has a greater impact anyway.

I'm sorry to say that we are entering into a very dark period in human history. The Great Depression of the 30s will pale in comparison to the next several years. I also believe that there will be major wars, and a very severe restriction of freedoms in the U.S. and worldwide. It will be a bigger shock to Americans because we aren't used to being so restricted. The long term of our future is up to the people. But it is going to be very ugly until humanity decides what it collectively wants to do. If it resists the powers and prevails, there will still be lots and lots of bloodshed, imprisonments, starvation, etc... If it doesn't fight and prevail, then you can count on many, many years of a Brave New World/1984 style scenario. (And I don't mean fighting violently. It'll take a collective resistance similar to how Ghandi and the Indians resisted the British Empire. This time it's on a global scale.)

By the end of this calendar year I believe it will be underway. It's underway right now actually, but I mean it will be underway in a manner in which you will be experiencing the discomforts of a breakdown in everything we now take for granted.

And it doesn't matter one whit whether Obama or Romney wins as far as the depression, war, and individual liberty goes. Okay, one is for gay marriage, the other is not. One wants to fund abortion with taxpayer money, the other does not. One has brown skin, the other has white. One talks about raising taxes, the other lowering them. (At this point neither approach will save the system). That's about the extent of the differences.

I'm going to go ahead and post 2 links. One is to a website with documented information and tools....http://www.thrivemovement.com/thriv...greece-affects-everyone-follow-the-money.blog

This is to a full length movie that takes a hopeful approach to a not so hopeful subject...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVEDwnvwQkM&feature=related

Just a few comments in reply to the bold parts and then I'll leave this alone.

The "economic clout", as you call it, was kiboshed by others long before he came along. he was just set up to be the fall-guy.

I think a dose of foreign rulings would do the USA the world of good. It has acted like a maverick rogue state for too long, judging others but refusing to be judged themselves. Examples are legion.

Neither has the US ever been bothered by any political correctness either. The just cover their crimes with euphemisms and use their "economic clout" to shut anyone up who opposes.

You guys have no one to blame for this except yourselves. US voters traditionally vote on the basis of the body language and smooth-talking they see in candidates and not on any indicators of actual competence.

I agree that the world is in for a very rough ride starting quite soon. The years ahead are going to be completely different to the years past. The USA could never be conquered militarily so your enemies resorted to other battlefields and other modes of attack, as per Sun Tsu's advice, while you continued to have faith in aircraft carriers and poured all your money into those. They diverted their focus to corrupting the populace and will soon succeed in destroying your economy.

Thanks for the movies.

Before Obama was elected but when he first started his campaign in 2008 I heard him say the following: "The USA has only 5% of the world's population but it control's 25% percent of the world's wealth" He then suggested that American's have to come to realize that this situation is wrong and can no longer be sustained. He said that obviously this distribution of world assets isn't "fair" and Americans are going to have to accept the fact that fairness requires that they control a much smaller percentage of the world's wealth.

He inherited a terrible financial situation 3 1/2 years ago and has had 3 1/2 years to do something to improve the economy here but his policies have only served to make things worse. For 2 of those 3 1/2 years, he had full control of congress and yet accomplished virtually nothing to turn the economy around. Another 4 years of this president and we will resemble a banana republic - He wants our economy and economic clout to be 1/4 to 1/5 of what he inherited and is hard at work bring that about.

Who would you like to adjudicate US internal disputes about voter fraud or how to manage our borders? Re could let ourselves be judged by Libyans, Somalians or Pakastanis. Maybe you would prefer the Russians, the French or the Belgiums. The day reps from these countries start judging our behavior on race relations and voting irregularities this country will be a third world banana republic.

To me, the USA is the country that defeated Nazism, defeated Fascism, defeated Imperial Japanese Fascism and helped remake Japan into a great democratic country. It is the country that won the Cold War against the Soviet Union, liberating the Soviet puppet states in Poland, Hungry, Czech Republic, etc. Also, it was the USA who make it possible for German reunification to occur. It is the country which prevented communism from taking over Europe.

What other country sends their soldiers to die in foreign countries, liberating those countries from oppressive regimes while not stealing their oil or other national sources of wealth. What other country rebuilt opponents whom they defeated or helped to defeat? (the most notable being Germany and Japan).

The US has had faults and a turbulent history but many of the non optimum situations here have been self corrected. In the broad balance of whether the USA has made the world better or worse - it has done far, far more good in this world than it has done harm.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

I don't dispute the validity of what you wrote here, not at all. What I am getting at is that if you want other countries to be subject to the International Court of Justice in the Hague then you should be too - but you're not. If you want Europe to impose austerity and sane economic policies then you should do that too - but you don't. If you want the rest of the world to abide by the nuclear non-proliferation decrees then you need to make Israel abide as well - but you don't. You self-righteously want Arab countries to have "democratic governments" and will go to war to impose such, but your vassal states like Saudi Arabia and the Emirates and Kuwait don't need to be.

The list could go on. The lack of respect that many have for the US is not because of the good that the US has done in the world but because of the "one rule for you guys and another rule for us" doctrine that has been enforced on the world for so long.

That's all.

Thanks Leon and Lakey for illustrating this dichotomy. I think it had come as a shock to many of us Americans this decade that we are so disdained and hated from the outside. "But we're the GOOD guys" we naively lament, being truly ignorant of the invisible black hand of powerful private interests.

I am saddened despite this by the fact that so much of our deterioration is generated from within.
We have embraced millions on our soil with no expectations of any loyalty. I worked every day with people from all over the globe during the last 15 yrs. I know how they regard the U.S....the good and the bad. To me, most are trying to collect on a victim/ perpetrator scenario. Even though they themselves, coming here to live from Russia, Guatemala, Columbia, Cuba or Puerto Rico may not have been harmed they bring with them this notion that they are here to play "CATCH UP"against the United States. We are created as the enemy and I see it in abundance, the disrespect of many of the management trainees in the international exchange programs here. And the dramatization of 'getting even' is evident in so many ways. Some country's participants have a lot less disdain and distrust than others, but things are often 1.1. The intention seems to be to let us be of use long enough to get back whatever their culture feels they've lost. Unfortunately the meme of the bad U.S. promulgated by their own dictators is not always true, but it has preprogrammed the business exchange students to create us as something that needs to be subdued.

I have to concede that college level youth often program themselves on campus with their own radical views. As I do recall.

Yep, Hats, the Federal government just should not have a presence and authority in real estate transactions in local communities. If local governments and the Florida State government were involved, it would make more sense then having the Feds involved. Probably, the Florida State government is broke similar to California's State Government. Is that true, is Fla in the same boat as Cal or are they in better shape financially?

The Feds and HABITAT FOR HUMANITY are probably well intended; is this the case? Radio talk show host Dennis Prager often points out that most bad laws and schemes are well intended but that being well intended counts for next to nothing when government programs are put into action, using the general publics' money or freshly minted and printed paper money in this particular case.

It would seem that a tandem of State, City and County money used to hire private builders to build and private realtor's to sell would achieve far better results for the community than would a Federally backed effort.
Lakey

I didn't see your reply here yesterday Gary.

No the Federal gubmit should not get involved with local real estate. It is a form of Affirmative Action. And it is the 14 to 18 year old students they are trying to integrate by socializing out some of the negative characteristics their neighborhood's culture has been trying to instill in them.

Florida is a LOT worse off than Calif. The U.S. govt relocates about 25,000 individuals a week here. Nobody talks about it on the media. I read this from a Dept of Education site in Tallahassee. No new funds are being pumped into the state to make up for what happening. Texas had the same problem on this issue long before ours reached its zenith I know.

We have entire cities of illegals just north of Orlando and midway between it and Tampa. One is called Harnes City. No drivers licenses, no auto insurance, no work visas properly updated etc. Local law officials can get no money from fines, are bilingual, sympathetic, and just try to have a heart unless criminal violence really really demands action. Domestic murder cases are on the rise. Young women keep vanishing...girls in their 20s....a totally new trend here. ID theft is quintupled.

My friend had someone by a new farrari on his credit from Haines City. His ID it seems was sold from someone in Africa who got it from a medical billing facility who got his records from his hospital ER visit. They still won't let him close the Florida bank account that the ID thief opened in his name.

Now here's the real up and coming problem. Up until now Disney and Orlando have most of their Hispanics having an island heritage. Mainly from Puerto Rico. Not a terrible increase in crimes in the Disney area. But we are in for a HUGE change in welfare laws in Florida. The agricultural by nature immigrants that have tight family clusters who have been eligible in Fla are being threatened with deportation or work. No English, no auto, no community job site, no bus route etc.

The just now being built Sun Rail commuter train which will parallel Amtrak rails will link this diaspora into where the Orlando tourism is for jobs. International Drive which runs for many miles is full of establishments. The Puerto Rican residents that have had this area pretty much locked down are in for a shock. They ARE citizens and resent fighting for jobs and benefits with those NOT. Also there are NO black communities around Walt Disney World and no busses transporting to and from black neighborhoods. The hotel motel industry has a million jobs serving the vastness of Disney . I wonder what hiring rules Vegas plays by while keeping its tourists safe.Things could be getting rough like Lone Star and Smilla have prophesized

If I were to sum it up, I'd simply say that the US has been a bad house guest where it was invited and a bad neighbor where it wasn't invited . . . .

Of course it has presented to the world another image . . . but in actuality it has screwed with everybody in sight in order to have things to its benefit.

And, sad to say, it's comeuppance time.

On the issue of the USA and the ill-informed, misled state of its populace . . . here is a good demonstration of why and how.

I got this in my email traffic this morning:

So important is a free press the founding fathers put it first and foremost among our guaranteed rights, protected by the First
Amendment.

A voting public is only effective as an INFORMED populace.

In this regard the corporate news media is failing us miserably,
largely in part to their arrogance and willingness to deliberately
keep us UNINFORMED on many important subjects.

Luke Rudowsky of 'We Are Change' got the chance to pose a question to a prominent figure within the corporate news media on this matter, here's the response he got...
