Re: Another - our experiences differed.

The body actually is in ok sort of shape. No major things. Just overall a paint job would make it zing back to orignal. I'd only choose a canonical saab color though. So it would be more expensive, as through a SAAB shop or their affiliate. I have a girlfriend who has repeatedly told me that this car is high maintenance, whatever. She has a Lexus and I find that boring to no end!

She has no idea of who I am. LOLOL. I like my old SAAB and if I could get her to collector level I would. The inside is nice. All the black leather is perfect. I really don't even care about what new cars are like inside. I like my SAAB. I can see having a second car but I don't see why not to have the old SAAB. It has a beautiful design.....

The main character in the show Royal Pains drives a 900 Turbo convertible in that sea foam green color with a tan interior. Nice car in the Hamptons amongst the Bentleys and Maseratis and Mercedes'.

It's ironic that Lakey and his buffoonish troupe of "deep thinkers" & pro-hubbardite-tehkies, who think the rest of ESMB is a bunch of "hate mongers," has this thread constantly in the recent post section aided by posters he and his band of pro-hubbardites don't even like. LOL. That's manipulation for you, folks. Hail Xenu and stat counts, you all are being played.

This is a very strange charade, a pro Hubbardite getting mad and accusing various people of being pro Hubbardites while misapplying some sort of tone scale drill.

Yawn........

My my, here's video of you, Carmelo. :puke:

Mine right now is a pale sort of beige greenish pearlescent with a black leather interior. :)

Knives, complete set of cast iron, stainless stockpot, hand tools, assorted pads and trivets and a gas range. How much more modern do you need? Fridge and freezer I suppose. The toys are nice but I'll stick with sharp knives and cast iron.
Yes but a nice stove helps. Cast iron is really awesome. I used it today. :)

Re: Another - our experiences differed.

Give me the sports model every time. Period.

My son took me with him to buy a new care in late 2013. He was looking at 2014 models. First we went to ford and looked at the Focus. This was a huge Ford Dealer in Huntington Beach, CA. My son insisted on a stick. They only had 2 new stick shift cars on their own lot. The Focus was OK but we decided to check out the VW. About 1 mile down the road was the VW dealer. We looked at 2014 VW Golf, they only had two new sticks on the entire lot, with one exception which I will discuss in a minute.

That had a white VW Golf with stick and a black one. My son chose the white one. The prices were the same.

Okay here is the deal on stick shift cars. In the VW line, they do have a high performance sports model called the GTI. It has a larger engine and is turbocharged. Because it is sportty they offer a lot of them with stick shifts. The GTSI model cost $7l to $10 k more than a regular Golf. My son was taking the bar in about a year so he only wanted this car for 2 to 3 years at which time he would be an attorney and then could upgrade to a more expensive car.

Now, Maria, due to improvements in automatic shifts, as I explained yesterday, a stick shift car is very rare on a new car lot EXCEPT for their sports models! In their high performance souped up models , stick shifts are still readily available. There is some further info which you need to know.

First, if you have your heart set on a stick shift, for all brands there is the option to order one from the factory. The problem there is time. Your car may take months to arrive and often car buying is impulsive so few people will wait for months. Second, the dealers are all linked via computers. Say you want a VW with stick shift and the place you are at does not have one in stock that you like. The car salesman can go to his desk computer and quickly do a search for stick at other local dealership in his area. Usually this will turn up more options. If one is available locally, you can buy it at your dealership and maybe they will drive you to the other dealership to pick it up but certainly you will get your car very quickly.

The third and last option is to look into a late model used car. Sticks were common through 2011 or 2012. A big breakthrough in automatic shift tech occurred at that time and starting around 2012 or 2013 it was hard to buy a stick. I am pretty sure that you can look at used 2011 or 2012 models and there will be many stick shifts to chose from.

He either needs to retrain his tone scale drill or if not that, he may be using the drill correctly and it is the drill itself which is flawed. Take your pick, either way something is wrong!
There is just so much gobbledegook one should listen to and reply in a courteous manner. You either go to battle or put the guy on IGNORE. The trouble with going to battle is that it turns positive energy into bad energy and just saps and honest person's energy. CoS has no problem declaring someone unfit to talk to. why can't we afford ourselves the same luxury/

Here's where I think it's really at. The psycho's, extremists and bad hats know that decent and honest people tend to give others the benefit of the doubt. They know that we are soft hearted and are relying on this when attempting to take down a person or a thread. What we have to do in such a case is to go against our natural inclination of being kind and giving the benefit of the doubt. We either fight or we disconnect. Fighting saps our energy and turns positive energy to negative energy. The day comes when disconnection is necessary and on ESMB disconnection is easy, you just put the guy you want to disconnect from on IGNORE!

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Well you get 10 points for that Think of England remark!! Thank you. (I never knew about that until the 2000s, weird concept.)

I'd say more but then I would not be me. Morality for me is not at all even on the radar. F#!k all that.

:flowers:

They had a similar saying for that back when I was in college. If a guy had to have sex with a woman he did not think was very attractive in order to pass some sort of initiation or for any reason and the guy objected, he was told"

"Put a sack over her head and f###k her for Old Glory. (Or was it put a flag over her head, that would read better because Old Glory refers to the Flag)

I'm sorry, I don't want to be considered sexist or a male chauvinist. I will say this, an attractive woman could do the same thing if forced to go to bed with a guy she was not attracted to. By force, I do not mean rape or physical force, I mean being forced by her sorority or her peers in order to be able to join a sorority or club or pass some sort of initiation drill.

Re: Another - our experiences differed.

Which model of Saab is that Maria? Saabs were part of GM for a while and the model range changed from 900 and 9000 to 9-3 and 9-5, and at about that time (1998).

They were sold off when GM downsized and basically disappeared for a while, although I believe they're back now with new owners. One thing I liked about Saabs was that their safety provision was always very high - the car's air vents even filtered out pollen.

I was talking to a guy driving a Saab a couple of months ago and he had a 2011 in pristine condition. I asked him if they were still being made and he said that the 2011 was the last model. I just checked on Google and they did file bankruptcy in mid 2011 but the article says that they emerged from bankruptcy in 2013 under new management and are now producing them again in small numbers. I don't think that the new ones are currently being sold in the USA at this time, that may come later. Here in the states, for all practical purposes, the latest model you can buy is the 2011.

FBM,get your ethics in and raise you tone ...
1,1 to 2.0 is not socially acceptable.
You must raise over 2.0 to deserve social interaction with more ethical people.
I can help you with that too!

I agree, some people deserve to be ignored and left aside (if not destroyed like in the cult) The fair game policy is fair when apply to to low tone people who botter us!
