i AM DONE on your thread.

I won't be back now.

Have fun.

Ahh! The end of another beautiful friendship. It's quite remarkable how scientology, the 'science of communication', manages to divide people so effectively.

Spare a thought for travellers on the London underground today, where temperatures in places nudged 40C (104F). As this article says, under UK legislation you can't even transport cattle in temperatures above 30C;

(I was lucky; where I live, the temperature reached a much more tolerable 22C (72F) and by the early evening it was even cool enough for me to able to wear my old gardening jacket to the local shop when I bought a couple of papers).

Maria, The really BIG error that Hubs made with the ethics formulary is that he continually mixed up the 1st and 3rd dynamics.

To understand this we can start with his Treason condition and formula:

"Treason is defined as betrayal after trust. The formula for Treason is very correctly and factually Know that you are." Or maybe rather "Find out that you are."

This is clearly first dynamic. It's about You. As a being. It'
s defined as "betrayal after trust". So as a being in this universe he must have trusted himself with something and he betrayed that trust somehow. What did he trust himself with? Why - "To be" obviously. "In the beginning and forever is the Decision and the decision is To Be." Read that before?

So if he trusted himself to be and he "betrayed" that trust then he must have tried to counter-postulate Being. In other words he tried to not be, to postulate himself out of existence.

So if anything is to be accomplished with these ethics conditions then the very first step just has
to be (note emphasis) the cleaning up of this matter. In itself it can be a HUGE matter covering a LOT of track.

But instead of dealing with it Hubs' handlings allows the guy to just bognite: "Oh yeah, I really am" and lets him move up to Enemy condition. And here he immediately collapses the whole thing into the third dynamic with yap about having taken on the colours of someone opposed to the activity and all that and the formula leads to the next great original bognition "Oh yeah, Wow, I'm really a gung ho Scientologist. Whoopee!"

vomit vomit vomit

The formula is "Find out who you really are". So one is dealing here with out of valence-ness. This is still fully the territory of the first dynamic. The guy has been (still is) in a valence that is not his own. It is a valence that functions as an enemy to the real being. What valence?

Remember that phrase in the definition of Service Facsimile " . . . a Serve Fac is as insidious as it pretends to align with survival . . "? Well, believe me, the same applies to a valence. In spades. It is as insidious as it pretends to align with survival.

I'm going to leave it here and say no more about these conditions and the handling of them

I don't know where Hubs got hold of them - I'd love to know. His continual misapplication of them shows clearly that he never understood what he had in his hands nor did he even have the faintest inkling of their value. And dumb brainwashed ethics officers plodding robotically along after him never knew either.

Neither did I, until I started working with Mary's interpretation of them.

Very, very cute little bullshit meter. That is really very very funny!!

I know that no matter what Hubbard creation I write down, you will speak negatively of it.

I liked the KRC triangle. Knowledge, Responsibility and Control. The theory was that the 3 corners were interrelated. Por ejemplo (for example) If you raised your knowledge in an area that would help one to control the area better. If you raised your responsibility over an area that would also contribute to better control.

If a person took control of an area and was having trouble, this little triangle told him that he either had to increase his knowledge in the area or if his knowledge was adequate he needed to assume more responsibility over the area.

I used this triangle repeatedly while I was there and it always worked for me. Even right know, the simplicity of the triangle and its ease of use is cheering me up.

Look at the Obama administration, they are seeking more and more control over our lives but the knowledge which they are using, Progressive and Marxist like theologies, are not true knowledge but just political clap trap.

That want to control poverty and reduce the number of people in the US under the poverty level of income. Their knowledge is all wrong. Redistribute the wealth, put 55 million people on food stamps, raise minimum wage to $15 an hour, do sit ins on Wall Street. All the knowledge which they are using is incorrect knowledge and so poverty becomes even more rampant during such an administration. That is an example of how the KRC triangle works in reverse.

A correct approach would be to relax regulations and reduce taxes for small businesses so that they will have more money to start hiring low and middle range wage earners. Applying that true knowledge would enable the government to reduce poverty by creating more jobs for poor people.

Probably you are going to mow me down and pour water on my parade. If and when you do, would you please be specific and illustrate specifically how a judicious use of this triangle could lead to less control in an area.

Hubs. ethics formulary the 1st and 3rd dynamics. Treason condition and formula.Treason The formula for Treason.
This is clearly first dynamic. a being. this universe. counter-postulate. to postulate himself out of existence. ethics conditions. a LOT of track.
Hubs' handlings. Enemy condition. third dynamic. gung ho Scientologist. valence-ness. first dynamic. valence. It is a valence. real being. What valence? Service Facsimile. Serve Fac. survival. valence. survival. conditions and the handling of them. Hubs.

This is a really, truly, utterly stupid way to talk to an ex. Even if what you wrote had a grain of sanity. And I mean actual sanity, not cult-speak sanity. This thread was once good. Maybe rich can tell us about ears.

I don't think Hubs got ahold of them, I think he invented them. And, if so, there was no missapplication by hubbard, he invented them purely for STATS & Control.

Hubbard redefined ethics. Most professions have a ethical conduct, to protect the customer. This is also having some morals.

Hubbards ethics are to protect scientology aka Hubbardology aka HCOPL HCOB. LOL

I think Jefferson Hawkins explains it well on the podcast hosted by Jeff Ausgintine at Tony O's blog and Karen's youtube channel.

That is some heavy shit Leon-2. Seriously dude. Mary is a real investigator looking for the truth behind a person's case. She takes no prisoners. I don't think she'd appreciate your comments about 'Hubs' though.

I did 13 Int RD handlings. I found that giving up my own identity as a being before taking the plunge into this place to identify as a this or as a that in lieu of myself.....was a hot topic. Although many times these things are coerced, it is frequently precipitated by a betrayal. Too bad C of S practitioners in the main, have no clue how to handle some of the things they can stir up..

I too, wonder how some of the better stuff came up in tbe midst of all that insanity.

Actually my usage is ZERO.

I don't use any of that sad tech, so I really don't give a rat's ass about the correct or limited usage thereof.

Yawn+LOL.

So much the worse. What is sad is that you have a whole campaign going, including posts, comments and blogs, and the entire thrust of your campaign is that all the tech and everything which Hubbard uttered is complete crap. Then you admit that your usage is ZERO and that you don't give a rat's ass about the correct usage of the tech. In other words, you have just done a "dead agent" job on yourself. Case closed, issue settled!!!!

PS: Starting 35 years ago, you did use Hubbard tech for 5 years but by your own admission you have done your best to banish all that tech from your mind. How someone who has not used a certain tech at all for 30 years and says," my usage is ZERO" can still claim the authority and credentials to criticize ALL THAT TECH as as being worthless, even though many on ESMB are still using it and claiming big wins on certain portions of it is beyond my comprehension!!! You simply are not qualified to judge all that tech, here at this time on ESMB!!

The people who are using it or have had it applied to them recently are the ones who are qualified to judge if that tech works or not!!

I did not attack you.

What I felt a problem with were the ideas.

You are not the ideas right?

You did not point out any specific ideas of mine which you disagreed with, you just said that my post was giving you a headache or some sort of negative reaction. Since you did not point out which specific ideas of mine bothered you, I feel that I was justified in feeling that your post was a personal attack against me.

I don't think Mary will have any problem with what I wrote. I have never met her personally but we have exchanged comm by email. We're fine.

The Ethics handling is heavy shit but the steps lead one into it easily. I've not had many people for whom it was too steep.

Er ... is this a good time to suggest (again) that you have now well and truly graduated from the Apollo thread?

Seriously, when you arrived here you unfortunately got yourself tangled into this thread and many of us could see where it would end ... perhaps you could take a break and then come and play on the rest of the board, where you will be able to relax more and are unlikely to be questioned within an inch of your life.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

I am just about ready to take my jumper off just then.

Still a tad cold for swimming though.

I once met a couple of Australians on a train going to London on a day when the temperature was touching 32C (90F), and one of them told me she found the weather hot. When I told her I knew Australia gets a lot hotter, she said that unlike the UK almost everywhere in Australia in the major cities, where most Australians live, is air-conditioned; so Australians aren't constantly exposed to the elements in the way us Poms are.

(Any chance we can get Sheila back for this thread?).

There's a town in the interior of Australia which gets so hot that most of the living quarters are underground. People stick it because it's a big centre for opal mining.
