I have a solution, find a place that serves Kosher spaghetti and instead of dancing to the Rolling Stones, we dance the Horah. By the way, the Rolling Stones are even in our age group and still going strong. Maybe the younger people will have to be carded to prove they are OVER 35 to get in to dance to the Stones.

Sounds great! I'm happy whatever we do and where ever the conversation goes.:goodposting:

Answers for Purple Haze and Sweetness.

Ladies, I wish to respond to your last posts. I spent about 2 hours with Epie at Starbucks in Cerritos today (Mark E. Baker). He is up for a get together on short notice. He pointed out that he has a friend who may want to attend. I am unable to confirm whether or not Carmelo will attend. Anyone who posts here is surely welcome to come. If so, just PM me.

As to location, Sweetness and now Purple Hazy have both stated they are willing to drive. Maybe Hollywood or Sunset Strip is the best place. The drive does not bother me, Sweetness could drive to my area again and I could drive with her up to L.A. as we did with the Many's party. There are a lot of deli's around who serve kugel but no deli that I know of has a band and dancing. I think the Italian dining along with a band is the best approach and then at the Italian place, we could have a little ceremony for Alan. Give me a little more feedback and I will set it up.

Oh yes Sweetness, I see your point about being willing to debate and stand up for your rights, but you choosing the times and occasions when you want to do it. Debating Uncle Lakey over silly liberal vs conservative political arguments is not where you want to make your stand. Okay, I am good with that. See my next post, I elaborate more on that.

Lakey will be on a medical leave for about 24 hours.

It is 4:00 AM on Thursday, Feb 4. California time. I will be getting a medical procedure done called an angiogram at 11:00 AM. This necessitates I stay in the hospital over night for observation and then return home, less than 2 miles from the hospital, at about noon on February 5. There is no anasthetic used so when I get home, I will be at full strength, except the medicos recommend rest all day Friday and no driving of a car until Saturday. .

THE LIBERAL VERSUS CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL DEBATE. I spoke to my non Scio friend Ken about some of my posts here regarding politics. I believe he knows more about it than I do. It was Ken's cousin Harry that originally got me into Scn. I have decided that I do not know enough about politics to try and be an opinion leader or talk very intelligently about it. My opinions are mainly based on watching Fox News and listening to the radio commentator Dennis Prager and though Dennis is a very smart and well informed man, just mirroring his opinions does not pass the litmus test where I should be giving advice or asserting any strongly held beliefs in this area.

When I was hot and heavy into Scientology, I believed that none of the politics going on really meant much and the only thing that mattered was to get Scn applied. Now that this stable datum has been yanked out from under me and countless others, I am looking for a new stable datum and a new world political view. The best that I can offer is just my current opinions based only on common sense. I am no authority that is for sure!

The only thing I strongly believe, and here again it is only a gut feeling with only common sense to back it up, is that the United States should not become a socialized type democracy based on the model of the European Union countries. I believe in the founding principles of the U.S.A. and I believe that the role of the U.S.A. as a super power economically and militarily should be maintained. It is just so obvious to me that without a strong U.S.A., Naziism would have prevailed in World War II and the ruthless regime in Japan would have held sway in Asia. If Naziism did not prevail in Europe then after WW II, Soviet style Communism would have swept through Western Europe as well as Eastern Europe and all of Europe, including all the EU countires would have become Soviet satellites. Take your pick, Naziism or Soviet sytle Communism, only a strong U.S.A. military prevented one of those two horrible systems of government from dominating the world. In such a world, non of the freedoms which we enjoy on ESMB would have been allowed and no new Spritual technoloies would have been allowed to be developed. If the U.S.A. is lost to the world as a free market super power and a place where individual responsibility is encouraged and rewarded, it will be a huge set back for world civilization. That is the only political point I feel qualified to have a strong opinion about.

Coroner: Pneumonia, drugs killed Brittany Murphy

Coroner: Pneumonia, drugs killed Brittany Murphy

AP – FILE - In this Feb. 4, 2008 file photo, actress Brittany Murphy attends the Max Azria 2008 Fall Collection …
By ANTHONY McCARTNEY, AP Entertainment Writer – 6 mins ago
LOS ANGELES – Brittany Murphy died from pneumonia, but anemia and prescription drugs also played a role, coroner's officials said Thursday.
The primary cause of the death was community acquired pneumonia, with contributing factors of iron deficiency anemia and "multiple drug intoxication," according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
The death was ruled accidental.
Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey declined to specify what types of drugs were involved in Murphy's death but said they were all prescription medications. Details about the drugs the "Clueless" and "8 Mile" star had in her system will be released in several weeks when a complete report is done.
Murphy died Dec. 20 at age 32 after collapsing at her Hollywood Hills home. Her mother and husband have said the actress didn't abuse prescription medications or have an eating disorder.
Attempts to reach them for further comment were unsuccessful.
Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack and mother, Sharon Murphy, told investigators the actress had been experiencing flu-like symptoms in the days before she died.
Monjack told The Associated Press last month that his wife did take several prescriptions, including an anti-seizure drug, but did not abuse the medications.
He said she had been taking over-the-counter Robitussin for her ailments.
A memorial for a foundation in Brittany Murphy's name that had been planned for Thursday was abruptly canceled, with no explanation.

Hi Roger

At pag. 72 of your book you wrote about Presence Process and how it works succesfully on athletes.
I had an insight , I mean I realized that it can be used to destroy " THE MYTH OF THE CHAMPION" .
I consider " The Myth of the Champion" as one of the biggest barrier that limits the athlete with good potential to be a champion .
Each athlete , when they start their career , they have a reference such as Mike Tyson or Cassius Clay therefore they start to imitate them , their training their stiles and so on .
By doing so the athlete is not himself/herself and does not know and LIMIT him/ her true potential.

Each champion, is unique , has its own style and what is considered to be a flaw in the "standard " practise often becomes the winning weapon of the champion.
I have seen many athletes ,an even myself in the past , ( I was a fighter and trained other athletes ) feel a DOT and see the champion HUGE .
Probably because you know that you will never be like them , and that is true as everyone is different .

So I think that Presence Process 3 and 4 can discreate this barrier ( the myth of champion) that limits many athletes in several disciplines.
When an athlete thinks, " I'll never be like that champion" they limit themselves, as they feel a dot and see the champion enormus and powerful.

The same often happens when an athlete or team have to play a match against a great team , for instance an european basketball team agains an american team . The european team feels a dot and they see americans HUGE and although they could win the loss the game .

So I think that Processes 3 and 4 run succesfully can remove this barrier .

Roger , let me know what you think about my considerations .

Looking forward to our get-together!

Lifting you up in thought Lakey, surrounding you with beautiful dancing sparks of divine light, and flowing you Theta. You have a very good heart Lakey, it's a strong heart, and you should thank it for all the good work it is continuing to do for you, your family and friends, and the world. :happydance:

I felt flows from you this morning, did you feel mine back? :D

Getting together to eat and socialize someplace in L.A. would be fine with me, although I know there are some good Italian places in O.C. as well. I like the idea of meeting in the middle, what does Mark think about going O.C.? I think he is the farthest west. (And I am the farthest east-go ahead and say it..."East is east and West is west and never the twain shall meet"- just you wait!)

Also- it occurred to me that meeting for lunch instead of dinner would give us more time to talk (we can dance anytime, anywhere, trust me!) I can tell Purple Hazy is a kindred spirit and we are not going to have any difficulties expressing our joy and happiness at being together with our group...:happydance: And Mark wants to talk and eat, not dance...:coolwink:

Here's just a thought...Anonymous is going to be celebrating it's second birthday (or anniversary, depending on your point of view) on or around Feb 16th, I think...even though we are not part of Anonymous, it is one more thing to celebrate...so we could aim for the weekend before or after, and have a Valentine's Love feast/Anon anniversary/We Love Alan/Share our Theta get together.

Pm me guys, and I'll be in comm with Lakey on this, let me know what day/days are best for you...maybe the Saturday before Valentine's Day? Or would the following weekend be better? (Less crowded in restaurants). We'll go with the consensus of who can attend when. PM me, guys! :)

Just to give everybody adequate warning: I am a hugger! Curmudgeons, steel yourselves! :D

Note to Mark E.

Mark- you just got a new nickname...you are now "Mark E." or "Markee" for short. You may have the spelling of your choice, Markey, Markie, Markee, or Marque. Don't you feel privledged? :duh:

How's that for variety? I think Lakey skipped over my explanation that Eeepie stands for "E.P.", Ethics Particle, another member here. Don't worry, we'll get it straightened out eventually! I have a feeling you have been called by worse names than that! :whistling:

Things could be worse! :D

Hi Purp - Its 5:50 PM and I'm home and its over, I'm all done and passed with flying colors. I had an angiogram where they run a wire up through your coronary arteries which feed the heart and everything looked good, I did not require a "stent" to prop open any constricted arteries so the Doctor told me I did not have to stay overnight for observation and was okayed to leave at 3:30 this afternoon. They have to make an incision in one's groin at one of the major arteries so that has to heal which requires 3 days without any heavy lifting and 7 days without swimming, taking a bath (showers are okay) or taking a jacuzzi. It was really a win for me because an earlier stress test I was given about a month ago, somehow suggested to my Doctor that one or more arteries might be constricted but the angiogram revealed that was not the case. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks for the good news!

Hurrah! Lakey's heart wins! :D Glad to know you're home and feeling good.

You know, three days sounds so amazingly quick for that incision to heal, aren't our bodies wonderful! :)

Thanks for sharing the good news, Lakey, now to plan a fun get together, we have more to celebrate! :happydance:

Thanks so much for the kind words!! I like flattery like most people but helping all the world, uh, really, that's going not just a little bit too far but way, way too far.

I felt flows from you this morning, did you feel mine back? :D

I thought of you a bit, sure. When I found out I did not need any stents put in, I thought perhaps some of my favorite acquaintences on ESMB had postulated a good outcome and you also came to mind at that point.

Getting together to eat and socialize someplace in L.A. would be fine with me, although I know there are some good Italian places in O.C. as well. I like the idea of meeting in the middle, what does Mark think about going O.C.? I think he is the farthest west. "East is East and West is West and the wrong one I have chose. Let's get back to some big town where they love a gal by the cut of her clothes and I'm all yours in buttons and bows." Top hit song on the charts in 1947 -48, "Buttons and Bows," sung by Dinah Shore. Check it out on Youtube.

Actually Long Beach and Central L.A. are pretty equal as to how far West they are. It is the amount North which makes the difference. I am more than happy to meet in Long Beach or Orange County. There is a top Jewish Deli called Katella Bakery in Los Alamitos on Katella Blvd. They have kosher spaghetti, KUGEL, and are as good as the best delis in L.A. The thing is that Mark was talking Italian with Carmelo and kind of preferred Italian and Purple Haze really wanted to go dancing. I live right in the middle and will go anywhere and eat any type of cuisine. As I understood the plan, we would honor Alan and then let off some steam by hearing a rhytmic band and dancing to their music.. To change it to lunch and just sit and talk is a completely different type of activity. Sweetness, perhaps you could PM Purple Haze. We need to work out the place and whether there will be music and dancing. I believe Mark and I are content with any place but Mark is looking to go Italian. Sweetness, could you please try and settle on the venue with Purple Haze and maybe even Mark and get back to me?

Also- it occurred to me that meeting for lunch instead of dinner would give us more time to talk (we can dance anytime, anywhere, trust me!) Don't forget, Purp was stuck in a hospital helping someone for a day and a half and really wanted to crank up the energy level and dance. I just spent 2 hours talking to Mark. Now we need to do something to have more to talk about.

Yes, PM's are key to decide the issues of lunch or dinner, Dance or talk, Italian or some other cuisine, etc. I am willing to accomodate whatever you'all decide. Someone might PM Carmelo, I do not think we can count on him but if he comes it would just be a nice bonus.

Yes, the world!

Lakey, the ripples from your good actions and intentions over 70 years have surely gone out and effected the whole world...and you are helping lots of folks by posting and starting threads here, Buddy!

Yes, was postulating success in the form of nothing further needing to be done, like an angioplasty or bypass, etc. Had a feeling you were checking in with me as well! :)

Actually, a nice Jewish deli would please both Mark and I, but we can save it for our next get together! Alan's celebration of Life is not until March, Lakey, so we could get together in Feb and do our own thing first, or combine them. I can see a potential for monthly dinners or lunch gatherings...can't you?

I am happy to eat whatever, go where the group wants, and dance whenever! :happydance:

Just pm me folks!

Mark first suggested getting together for spaghetti, so maybe we should not corrupt his idea too much. He has been noticably silent!!!

I see your point Lakey about distance. I just think of the beach as the furthest west, but you're right. I am going to have to carpool much beyond you, I think. Need to get my car tuned up, too! This will give me a reason to get it done. :)

AAARRRGGGHHH Lakey, Just harden the f- up and you'll be fine. I had a mini stroke in december and was back at work two days later. If you listen to those doctor people too much you'll be sicker than you ever thought possible.

As regards the Liberal-Conservative debate - my take on the liberals is mainly one of according to them it seems no one is ever responsible for anything. If the guy is a crook then it is because of his poor upbringing, if he is dumb and stupid then it's because the educational system failed him, if he is drunk and disorderly then he needs counselling to help him. Socialist governments throughout the world - esp here in new Zealand - specialise in this sort of bollocks. You cannot fire someone because he's lazy or wrecks company equipment, you cannot kick him out of a rental property if he fails to pay the rent - the list just goes on and on.

Your support for the US and its founding principles is well understood and, I think, well supported by most people including me. However, those are all historical reasons that you give for your suport. One needs to look at the USA in present time. I'm no great supporter of conspiracy theories but it sure seems to me that politicians all over the place are intent on making people more dumb, more compliant, less responsible, more depemdant on the state, etc etc than they ever were in the past. Something is grievously wrong somewhere.
