A couple of posts back Facey mentioned MCC.

This song is as applicable to the '50s as well as the '60s which MCC referenced. I love the imagery. I love the tune. I love the pace. I love the instrumentation.

I feast on this song every time I play it. Several different versions out there, each is wonderful.

Thanks, Ted...this is one of my MCC favorites, too.

Speaking of PC and Malcolm, back when I returned to college (for the third time) I used to have fun commenting that 'Malcolm X was murdered by racists'. Luckily most PC users are too ignorant to delve further into that, since at least it *sounds* 'acceptable'. :)

Zinj

Back then it was typical to refer to Asian people as "orientals"--but somehow that word became some sort of PC no-no.

If you return to college for a fourth time next year, I wouldn't be surprised if you are encouraged to spend a full day getting reasianated via an Asiantation program.

Ironically, my first college was 'Occidental College' :) And, they haven't changed their name to Western Running Dog Lackey College yet.

My Pal Ted!

While at lower mood levels it can be argued that there is no such thing as coincidence, at such more refined levels as spirit of play and fascination with life, happenstance and serendipity work to my advantage. There is always room for a pleasant surprise.

I have a voracious appetite for knowledge, shared experience, new viewpoints, different perspectives...
I am a fat man dining on the internet buffet. My appetite is constantly stimulated by other fat people guiding me to their discoveries.

Dis is why I luvs Ted! :D :happydance:

I remember reading Malcolm X, the book in high school. I was very impressed. Basically the message was own your blackness, don't try to be a honkie.

black pride was the name of the game

I read it in jr. high school. (The autobiography of Malcolm X.) I loved watching the arc of the evolution he went through during his life as his spirit became dominant over his animal nature (which we all have to process through at some stage of our lives), as he transitioned from being "Red", the street hustler/hoodlum/ex-con, to a leader in the radical seperatist black Nation of Islam movement, to an Imam striving to embody the true religion of peace, lovingkindness and universal brotherhood. Talk about a shift in viewpoints and identities! His life story was a true bellweather for our times, as baby boomers in the USA. If he had lived, he might have been a great world leader, judging by the direction he was heading in...

His murder and Robert Kennedy's murder affected me and my schoolmates greatly.

Welcome Yorkie, Everybody Create More Freedom!

Welcome, Yorkie! :happydance: Glad to have you join us here!

For the record, I have known many people of all backgrounds (I live in one of the most culturally diverse parts of the world) who have been able to experience and express the kinds of abilities generally described in Scientology as "OT powers"...

I do think that either this is a general ability that we as humans share as a species (helped us to survive by senseing hidden or physically unseen areas of safety and danger, etc.), but that many anesthetize or hypnotize themselves out of expressing, OR, that there is a strain of this in some of our DNA, as some groups of us (Celts, Polynesians, etc.) seem to be way more prone to doing it than others. I'm not sure which it is and I don't really care.

It is probably hardwired into us like creativity is...some of us just explore and develop it further, or tend to have more facility with it as a "natural" aptitude.

It has not always been safe to openly discuss or practice such things (thinking of the burning times, the Spanish Inquisition, the Salem witch trials, etc.).

I would hope that we are all free to openly discuss them here. Creating a safe space to discuss things is what this board is all about!

I can say that in my direct experience of reality, people express and experience "OT" type abilities, which might appear magical to someone outside of or divorced from the experience, all the time!

I might add that the vast majority of these people have never been involved with Scientology and do not care to be. Some have come to this via "other practices" of all religions, many philosophies, etc. For some, it just "comes naturally" to them and they are totally unschooled, which leads me to surmise that this is just a part of the human experience, once we are secure enough to free ourselves from our egos as beings and "go there". It is really not rare at all, once you have eyes to see, and don't deny or invalidate what is happening (what our dominant military-industrial culture educates us to do).

Is is supernatural? Or Divinely Natural, as part of our spiritual heritage as limitless Spiritual Beings? Or just natural, as something we are all hardwired to be able to do, and have evolved into for the greater good of the survival of the species? :confused2: It's fun to think about, but probably not all that important to know.

At any rate, if you want to discuss some stuff that's "out there", or ask questions about it, go ahead and create an opening, and invite others to respond or join in the discussion. Don't wait for an opinion leader or someone you consider to be "higher up" than you to do so.

Free yourself, and you will free others as well. As Facey put it so well, "we are all Sparticus" on this thread, when it comes to the subject of creating more freedom!

Thank you John, for sharing the WonderWorld information. I will check it out and explore further on your website!

If I were an engineer with a highly creative and free imagination, I can't think of a better legacy to leave the world than working on creating this kind of an amusement-theme park, that would help to push back the limits of what we are capable of doing and being.

What fun! :happydance:

Fantastic visual

Wow! What a cleverly, and rather accurately, expressed demo of how we split from our true infinite selves to think that the other part of us is not "us." (And other nonsense we pulled on ourselves :duh:)

Where do you find these treasures Ted?

I think we'll have to appoint you our official finder of good things!!:D

I concur. If a picture is worth a thousand words, this little video demo is composed of many pictures and brilliantly illustrates the concepts which Roger describes above.

Hello again.

Welcome, Yorkie! :happydance: Glad to have you join us here!

Hi, uh, "Sweetie?" "Sweetness?" "Sugarbright?" (I'd better stop with that; I'm having too much fun!)

"Yorkie" first made me think of a breed of canine; then I recalled that some kids, back in the high-school days, had thrown that out to see if it stuck. Didn't. Probably just as well as I don't believe it was particularly well intended at the time. :)

Recalling the famous movie, a few have tried on, "Sgt. York." But that kinda fell flat because, for the last couple years in the Air Force, I was, "Sgt. York." I made that rank about half-way through the enlistment. When I hear, "Sgt. York" I tend to think of me rather than the movie star and begin to look around for a buddy from the past.

Then my first name is, "Gary." A few close friends, attempting a diminutive, have used "Gar" successfully; but I got the feeling that they got the feeling that, "Gar" wasn't fully doing the job.

My middle name is, "Francis." My father bore that as a first name and chose to be called by his middle name. Most never knew his first. My grandfathers on both sides bore it, one as a middle name, one as a first. One chose to go by, "Frant." Of course, I never called him that (I always called him Granddad) and if someone called me that, I wouldn't even think to look.

And for that matter, I never actually liked, "Gary." How -- bland. I mean, "Whatever were my parents thinking?" There are some crosses one simply must bear, gracefully or not. Perhaps one day I should undertake a listing and nulling action to determine a fully acceptable name. Should I manage a floating TA, I might even have it legally changed. I mean, think of it: how valuable would be a fully embraced name?

For the record, I have known many people of all backgrounds (I live in one of the most culturally diverse parts of the world) who have been able to experience and express the kinds of abilities generally described in Scientology as "OT powers"...

If you've already posted details or stories about this, could you direct me to the thread or post a link? In any case, I'd like to hear about it. I've already dived into the "OT POWERS" thread and, well, it's pretty bland too.

We tend to think of things as having a physical origin or a spiritual origin.

Some think all is physical. The standard practice of science today tends to encourage this attitude. While not embraced by all scientists, all scientists know that it's wise to consider only physical causes and physical effects if one wishes to have much of a career as a scientist. "Standard Model" and all that.

Some think all is spiritual. Quite literally! That, for instance, if every 'spirit' vanished from this and any other universes, that absolutely nothing would in any sense exist. In effect, this attitude asserts that 'we,' all of us, exist in a dimensionless point and that all appearance to the contrary is due to our beautifully effective, shared, 'imagineering."

I exercise my own ability to make a firm decision by keeping a foot firmly planted in both camps. :eyeroll:

While the physical camp has some pretty neat things coming down the pike in the next twenty years or so, I tend to prefer (and hope) that the spiritual camp holds the greater truth.

I would hope that we are all free to openly discuss them here. Creating a safe space to discuss things is what this board is all about!

I can say that in my direct experience of reality, people express and experience "OT" type abilities, which might appear magical to someone outside of or divorced from the experience, all the time!

This would be a good place to begin relating some neat stories. Like you said: "we're creating a safe space to discuss things."

"What is, is."

One way or another, through mal-intent or mis-adventure, the gap grew ever larger between how most of us conceived Scientology and how the creator of Scientology conceived Scientology (and Scientologists.)

Most of us really liked the idea of Scientology being, basically, "Knowing how to know."

(Of course, I don't think we really looked hard at, "Knowing what you don't know," or when, under what conditions and how often "workable truths" should be thrown out with the trash.")

Scientology, in large, was supposed to be about discovering what is, what works, and how to become in some way 'better' than we are, wherever and whenever found.

Whoever has found a bit of the truth, 'Scientology' wants it; and 'Scientology' will poke, prod and press it into something useful.

Or -- so we thought; so we hoped.

My father was a Baptist minister; I confess I'm a little 'burned out' on the 'Divine' thing. While it has often been hypothesized, I'd rather that there were not some kind of hierarchy of beings, even if only two: God and not God. Actually, I simply can't understand why anyone would prefer to grasp, "the shitty end of the stick."

"What is, is." Yet, so long as their remains legitimate uncertainty, I know which side I'm rootin' for.

At any rate, if you want to discuss some stuff that's "out there", or ask questions about it, go ahead and create an opening, and invite others to respond or join in the discussion. Don't wait for an opinion leader or someone you consider to be "higher up" than you to do so.

OK. You've got it. With an opening as wide and inviting as that, how can I possibly refuse. (Nor, really, would I want to.) :dancer:

First, much to my dismay, I have never, this lifetime, had an unequivocally 'paranormal' experience. I've had two or three that could have involved telepathy but could easily be 'dismissed' as 'picking up on bodily cues.' Disappointing, to be sure.

In my single digit youth, after reading one of George Adamski's books about flying saucers, I saw a blinking red light just hovering on the horizon and, performing my civic duty, called a radio station to report it. (Don't ask; I've no idea why I called a radio station.) On the next night, a clearer one, actually, I saw the red light hovering in the same place -- and just beneath it, a radio tower. :bigcry:

That -- was a little embarrassing and was probably my first clue that a little skepticism had a certain value. Still.

Later, during my high-school years, I spent hours haunting the college library. I was especially fond of the psychology section. I remember finding Terman's, "Genetic Studies of Genius." It was a bit over my head at the time, but very interesting. :)

Eventually I reached the 'para-psychology' end of the stack. Here, some of the concepts I'd first encountered while reading science-fiction were taken seriously: "Psi" in all its variations and 'manifestations.' I've retained the 'interest' throughout my life.

I'm not especially interested in the kind of OT which is, essentially, "I'm better at doing stuff than I ever expected to be." Ted may recall that, years ago, in response to one of his comments, I posted an article to ACT, part of which suggested some "OH" levels: Operating Human. (For those interested: ftp://ftp.lightlink.com/pub/archive/gfyork/GFY1OTa This article also offers, in some detail, what I believe would be real OT levels.)

At one time, Scientology's Grade Chart listed the description of the ability attained by OT VIII as, "Ability to be at cause knowingly and at will over thought, life, form, matter, energy, space and time, subjective and objective. " Personally, I'm not sure how to parse that in any way that doesn't read: MAGIC.

It's really very cool when people experience great success as humans; in this instance, if some of the posters have had experience of real magic, I'd love to hear of it.
(And, if you just do not feel comfortable posting widely, please feel free to PM or email me.)

Free yourself, and you will free others as well. As Facey put it so well, "we are all Sparticus" on this thread, when it comes to the subject of creating more freedom!

Thanks for the chance to get this out; I hope many feel free to post their "OT" experiences.

Best,

G.

by Kenneth

Oh yes, Blue,

That was a little limerick that 'stuck' when I was very young and remains to this day. I recall it very slightly differently. I believe my version 'scans' better but have no idea how well it corresponds to the original.

"There was a young lady named Bright,

Who could travel much faster than light.

She set out one day

In a relative way,

And returned on the preceding night."

----

Actually, this may have been the back-brain inspiration for my own youthful effort:

As I stand looking at the night,
My eyes are caught by one stars ancient light.

Could it be,
When that stars light was newly shown,
I called it Sun,
And called it's planet, Home?

---

Thanks for the memories!

Best,

G.

Lakey goes Occult - The Mergeing of 3 technologies.

Lakey Crosses Over - The Merging of Technologies -
I was in BNI last year, a business networking group with the purpose of promoting my construction business. I met EC, who is a certified Hypnotherapist. We both left BNI and lost touch. She emailed me recently about joining with her in a campaign to use and sell Ionized, Alkaline Kangen Water. I agreed to attend a meeting to which she invited me. I invited my friend Ed to go with me.

3 Beautiful women joined me and Ed for lunch. There was EC and she brought two girlfiends, JB and LH with her and the three lovely women joined Ed and I at a separate table and for about 2 hours we enjoyed the lunch and heard the meeting presentation. EC was complaining about her neck giving her a problem and I told her I did accupressure treatments. She asked me for a treatment which I provided to loosen her neck. The treatment took about 10 minutes and loosened the neck but the right side of the neck developed a small raised node which would not go away.

I directed my attentioin to the node which persisted regardless of how much accupressure I applied. I picked up that the node contained "protest" in it. I asked EC about that and she revealed that earlier that day she had engaged in a serious argument with a business associate which had really upset her. I acknowledged her and held the node with one finger and put my fingers on her head and searched for a companion node on her skull. I quickly found it and held the two points simultaneously and a tremendous amount of trapped static electricity discharged between the two nodes and ran down through my body and into the ground. The node on her neck vanished.

JB, then sought me out and she asked if I would give her some accupressure which I did. Her situation was much more intense than EC's. I took me over 1/2 hour and I got a resolution to her problem as well. I told her my handling should hold her for perhaps 3 or 4 days but it was not a full and complete handling. I told her a series of sessions would be needed to totally handle it.

JB the GHOSTBUSTER - JB is in the business of clearing disembodied spirits from real estate properties prior to new owners moving in. There actually is a field called Intuitive Real Estate Services which handles ghosts residing on properties. JB charges $200 an hour for clearing negative spirits from properties prior to new owners assuming occupancy. She is also an artist and has written 3 books.

LH, a tall stunning woman in her 40's watched me ply my trade and called me over to talk about what I had done. LH had checked out Scientology about 4 years earlier and walked into an Org. In her own words, she said she saw that it was a Psychic System which had some valid Psychic Tech. She was inclined to sign up for an intro course but she said she sensed something funny. There was just too much structure, too much emphasis on money and too much pressure being put on for her to sign up so she walked out and never got involved.

LAKEY GOES SQUIRREL? OR DOES HE?
Last night, EC invited me to attend a weekly Open House at a Chakra Centre in Costa Mesa, CA in Orange County. I met her down there. The place is impressive and they offer virtually all New Age and Occult techniques on the market.

LH SHOWS UP - I was delighted to see LH walk in. We engaged in a preliminary talk because she really wanted to know the basic principles of Scientology and I was eager to engage her in conversation.

TO MY AMAZEMENT, LH KNEW NEARLY ALL SCIENTOLOGICAL DATA INCLUDING PAST LIVES, TELEPATHY. OT PHENOMENA, REMOTE VIEWING AND EVEN NOTS TECH! She had correct or nearly correct information on all these topics, sometimes using a different name for some OT type of data. For instance in discussing NOTs type phenomena, she used the term that a sprititual being often "fragmented". In her concept, the fragments of a being often perch on various parts of a person's body and conceive themselves to be separate entities and engage in thinking, forming of opinions and directing of actiions which the main part of a being unwittingly conceives to be of their own motivation. An Event started and LH and I were forced to end our discussion.

An hour later EC, LH and some others were talking in the entry room of the Centre. In a bold and impulsive move, partly motivated by LH being so beautiful, I began given her a neck rub. She nodded her approval and told me to please continue. Immediately, I found that her neck was all out of whack, similar to how ED's was about a week earlier but LH's was more severly out of alignment. A huge node, about the size of a large grape was popping out on the right side of her neck. The lady who owns the Chakra Centre came by and wanted to know what we were doing. I had her feel the node and she thought that there was an infection there. She recommended herbal products to handle the infection. After a good 10 to 15 minutes of accupressure, LH's neck showed a little improvement but the tightness and grape sized node would not release. I told LH that was all I could do for her and I was going to end off. She asked ne, "Can't you do to me what you did to EC last week and handle the whole problem?"

MY BIGGEST WIN EVER IN ACCUPRESSURE COMBINED WITH MIND READING. I started feeling around on LH's head for a charged node or area. I just open up my "antenna" and let it pick up any unusual flows or stoppages. Quickly I found the key point on her head and put a little pressure on it. LH asked me what was going on and I asked her, "Have you been having headaches recently?" She answered that she had. I said that the point I was touching was connected to the cause of her headaches. She asked if I could get rid of her headaches? I replied that I believed I could. I opened up my mind to engulf hers and I announced, "You have a cycle which you need to get done but you have been putting off doing it. You are now at the point where you believe you are being neglectful and remiss in doing what you believe you need to do." She asked "Would this have to do with me not starting to create my web site which is needed to promote my business?" I sensed that I had the correct item and I replied, "Well, what do you think? Tell me a little more about that." She went into a big itsa about how she had decided she needed to develop a new website so that she could expand her business and how she keeps putting it off and putting it off for various reasons and she realizes that she no longer has a valid reason to put off the web site any longer but she just can't confrong starting to create it. Just then, the owner of the Centre asked for quiet so she could make an announcement and then led us all in meditation and then adjourned the Open House. I told LH, we would stop our session for a break and take it up after adjournment.

After adjournment, LH ran up to me and thanked me profusely for helping her and said we needed to get together soon and asked if I would explain my techniques to her in greater detail. She hugged me and could not thank me enough and then said she had to leave. I said, "Before you leave, I would like to feel the side of your neck to see the condition of the swollen node." I felt her neck and the node had completely vanished!

In the parking lot EC came up to me and begged me to please teach her my technique so that she could do it on others. I gave her a hug and promised her that I would do so. I taught my technique to EC today and will describe what happened in a post tomorrow.

The Dalai Lama Says...

Dalai Lama: "If indeed the qualities such as love, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness are what happiness consists in, and if it is also true that compassion, defined as concern for others, is both the source and the fruit of these qualities, then the more we are compassionate, the more we provide for our own happiness."

Teaching my techniques to a non Scientologist

EC arranged thngs yesterday so she could learn my techniques. There was a big Kangen Water seminar for Spanish speaking people in Studio City, she told me to bring Ed, who is Latin, and then while the seminar was going on in Spanish, she and I could talk at a coffee shop nearby.

About EC and hatting her. She was born in 1950 and has been a Hypnotherapist for about 5 years. The field is an occult technology but it has received some accredidation from Orthodox Medicine. I believe certain health insurances policies may pay for treatments, though I'm not certain. EC has to do telepathy and read her patients' minds to some degree to do her job. She does it day in and day out so I figured she would be able to handle my techniques.

EC's first area of what she wanted handled was "transference" of negatives from her patients onto herself.

I was familiar with this technique from an acquaintance with Mesmerism, which arose in 18th century Vienna and travelled into 19th century France. Poor EC was coming down with the ailments of her patients and she told me that because of this she was thinking of quitting hypnotherapy and that is why she was looking at being a Kangen distributor.

I told her that we can handle this just by converstaion alone and need no accupressure. I then said that in studying Freudian Psychiatry, don't they teach a preactitioner how to avoid this pitfall because I believe they do. She said that she never went to med school or studied Freud. She said there is some knowledge circulating about how to handle this phenomena but it requires that a practitioner remain detached from the patient and her whole focus is to strongly identify with and care about the patient so she gets personally involved with every patient. She asked me why I did not get my neck all screwed up when I work on someone's neck. I answered that I am grounded by standing on the floor in standard shoes and that all the static electricsity runs through me and into the ground.

EC ASKED ME IF SHE SHOULD TOUCH HER PATIENTS WHILE THEY WERE REGRESSED. I asked her if she normally touched her patients and she said no she did not. I said that if it is not the usual then do not do it. Don't take on an unusual solution but do the usual.

I asked her if she evaluated and/or invalidated her patients. She asked me to define my terms which I did. She said that she did no invalidation but routinely offered her advise which is in effect evaluating. I asked if she remained detached during the sessions and she said she did not but became intensely involved with the patients, trying to feel everything they felt.

I told her that she needed to regard them only analytically but not so personally that she took on their pains and suffering. She said she could not conceive of being effective without getting personally involved. I told her, "EC, you are my friend, I am going to stick my neck out and give you a session and one of the major reasons I am doing this is so you will see why and how it is that no transference of your case will occur onto me.

I asked her for something else she wanted handled and she told me of a guy named Steve whom she met about 6 months ago. She said that he was 30 years younger than her but she was instantly attracted to him and he to her. They had a torrid love affair, her first 2D activity in a very long period and she began to cry. She stated they both realized they had been married before in a past existence. After 3 months of bliss the thing began to fall apart. She felt guilty about the age difference and he began having second thoughts. She wanted to hold a meeting and talk things out but he could not confront her and only communicated with text messages. She was pissed off about that and decided to let him go but she could not and was in complete turmoil.

LAKEY DECIDES TO GO WHERE NO OR AT BEST FEW HAVE EVER GONE BEFORE. I had promised to give her a session and I decided to go forward and do it in a sort of modified NOTs style. I told her that the session I needed to give her was from Scientology technology which I would modify slightly and it was an advanced level and that it was strictly against all the rules known to me to deliver this session, especially to her, who knew nothing of Scn. I asked her if she wanted to go ahead under those conditions and she said she could handle anything I threw at her.

Something in me told me this was wrong and yet I believed that she had enough preparation to do the session through her years as an occult therapist. I was worried about the session bogging and me not being able to whip out a correction list and clean her up. I finally said, "What the hell? let's get started." I hatted her up and gave the session. I communicated to the "God within her" as Carmelo likes to put it. My concern and care and interest were out the roof. She trusted me fully, I knew nothing would go wrong. Without going into any details, the session lasted about 20 minutes and she hit something and started to cheer up and give me several cognitions. I told her we would be ending off. She had handled her upset with this recent lover and was now in present time telling me how it was best that she let him go. Her final cognition was beautiful. She said that he EARNED her love in a previous existence but that was then and this was now. In this time and place, he did not earn her love but she just gave it to him anyway based on their past histroy and that was her mistake. When you meet somebody from a previous life, they have to earn your love all over again under the circumstances of this, the new life. Finally, some transference took place. Her cognition made a lot of sense, it was something I had never thought of myself and made be more aware, adding a new truth to my storehouse of wisdom. I knew I had a real and valid End Phenomena and that her former lover was now completely handled for her.

In closing I pointed out to her that no transference occurred between the two of us. I said that I was extremely caring and was very sincere about caring and wanted desparately for the session to succeed but I never got personally involved with what she was reliving. I told her that has to be her approach in her sessions if she wants to prevent transference and picking up all the illnesses of her patients. She saw that to be true.

FINAL CLOSING COMMENTS BY EC - From her occult and New Age religious outlook, she has Angels, i.e. spiritual guides and she told them she was becomming lost and asked for them to deliver her a spiritual guide who could get her back on track. She realizes now that they sent her me in response to her pleas. She then stated that she believed that Ed, JB, LH, me and herself were all spiritual team mates at earlier times on the track, probably more than once. That brought a big smile to my face as I believed that to be true myself once I look a look at it.

SUMMARY - It seems as if we ex Scientologists do have allies in the world of New Age religions and the occult. This has been confirmed already on this thread by what Johnny and Blue Spirit are doing and also by what I have just done with these 3 women and Ed. They do have some tech in those areas and what they are learning and what they know does dovetail quite well to what we exes have learned. There is enough common ground there to form alliances between the two fields. We have a large pool of potential friends and allies to draw on over in those fields. This is a new source to greatly expand our numbers or for us to draw recruits from.

I remember reading Malcolm X, the book in high school. I was very impressed. Basically the message was own your blackness, don't try to be a honkie.

black pride was the name of the game

The "Autobiography of Malcolm X" was actually written by Alex Haley, of "Roots" fame from interviews done with Malcome.

Story here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Haley#The_Autobiography_of_Malcolm_X

I was fortunate enough to attend a book signing of his. There were lots of people standing in line with their "Roots" books. I had gone to a used bookstore in Glendale, CA and picked up a hardcover of "X" (unfortunately not a first edition).

When I got to the front of the line and handed Mr. Haley the book, he looked astonished! He asked me to stand to the side while he quickly wrapped up the rest of the signing and we then sat down together for over a half hour and chatted. He had become such a star over "Roots"; it was the only thing anyone ever wanted to talk about. I was a welcome diversion.

Being a Scientologist, I mentioned that I was amazed by Malcolm’s story that he became literate by reading a dictionary from cover to cover several times over while in jail. Hailey swore it was true.

He was a very fine gentleman and a great author.

Of course, I lost the book – too many post changes for too many years = lost boxes. I lost lots of other things in Scientology too – such as being able to think for myself.

Oh well, onward and OUTWARD!!

Recommended reading for both "recruits" and others "on board".:thumbsup: (I expect many of us have adopted the original version in other iterations.) :whistling:

The Hippocratic Oath: Modern Version

I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:

I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.

I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.

I will not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery.

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.

I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.

I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.

If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.

LAKEY DECIDES TO GO WHERE NO OR AT BEST FEW HAVE EVER GONE. I asked her if she wanted to go ahead under those conditions and she said she could handleanything I threw her.

It was only advanced because in Scientology, the Co$ charges more for it.

We (my wife, myself, our friends) do that kind of stuff anytime anywhere. ie. in kitchens, in living rooms, at the beach

what is key to fast and effective auditing is helping your person handle what is bothering them, and then helping them replan revisualize futures. their reality level, their discomfort, their plans for the future, not the Co$'s grade chart. If ____ can be handled now, do it now.

That was a terrific book. I remember buying it at City Lights Book Store in North Beach of The City, one day with my girl friend, while cutting school.

Thanks for sharing this, Lakey. I can't believe how similar EC's story is to my own over this past year. It's kind of uncanny. It's almost as if you were writing about me. Have you been reading my mind?
