I've always been fascinated by the lands that have camels. My Christmas cards are always of the magi making their trek under the star at night across the desert.
I've read several biographies about poet Arthur Rimbaud. One of them was about his missing years on the African plains and hills and in the Gulf of Aden.
There were several photos taken in the 1880s where there were camels and natives and British soldiers with camels at their hitching posts in front of the forts. Fascinating book.:D:D And Rimbaud did not feed the camels enough. :duh:
They were starving.

I like digs, and the story of Carter. Going to Xian in China was the closest I ever came to an actual in progress historically significant dig.

My daughter loves Africa.

on the subject of cancer

Comedian Robert Schimmel died the other day, as a result of a car accident.

On "Fresh Air" today on NPR (National Public Radio), Terry Gross played a 2008 interview with him.

He had a son die of cancer.

He, himself, had had cancer.

Howard Stern had him on his radio show once, and with no prep, asked him about his son dying of cancer.

Robert Schimmel replied that "The Make a Wish Foundation" had come to their house, and asked his son what wish he would like to have fulfilled before he died. Robert Schimmel related that he (the father), told them that his son's wish was to see his father making love to Dolly Parton. The son laughed until he couldn't stop. It wasn't reported what "The Make a Wish " people said.

Thanks to you Carmelo, I have accidentally stumbled across a rare rare rare photo located on the internet. It is from the period of the scramble for Africa circa 1880. It is of the Gulf of Aden where the British soldiers had their forts and marched in the morning drills on the wet sand while the tide was out. The Grand Hotel of the Universe was a huge landmark. There are so few photos and paintings of Rimbaud. I have them all and have made my own videos and collages. I almost had to learn French in order to receive some of my collections from abroad.
I'm pretty certain that this newly discovered photo is of Rimbaud with some Europeans,

based on the several things that you've posted over the last few days, may I humbly suggest that you find someone to run quad power on you. Ted is somewhere near your 'hood.

Grade Five:

POWER PROCESSES

Quad Flows
Note on use of PR PR 1-3: Power processes 1, 2, and 3 are corrective processes and are used when the PC is not running well on Pr Pr 4, 5, or 6.

PR PR 1

Run Pr Pr 1 when there is no TA action on Pr Pr 4 or when the PC is committing present time Overts. A continuing Overt case is committing Overts as a solution.

F1. 1. What has another done to you?
2. What problem was he/she trying to solve?
3. What hasn't another said to you?
4. What problem was he/she trying to solve?

F2. 1. What have you done to another?
2. What problem were you trying to solve?
3. What haven't you said to another?
4. What problem were you trying to solve?

F3. 1. What has another done to another or others?
2. What problem were they trying to solve?
3. What hasn't another said to another or others?
4. What problem were they trying to solve?

F0. 1. What have you done to yourself?
2. What problem were you trying to solve?
3. What haven't you said to yourself?
4. What problem were you trying to solve?

Each Flow run to EP.

PR PR 2

Pr Pr 2 is used when the PC brings up only opposites (Dichotomies) on Pr Pr 5 and is collapsed into his Bank by former practices.

"Give me some practices, opinions or belief systems you have been
connected to, whether you left them or not." Run reading items.

F1. 1. What condition have you encountered in/with ______________?
2. How have you handled it?

F2. 1. What condition has another encountered in/with ______________?
2. Now has he/she handled it?

F3. 1. What condition have others encountered in/with ______________?
2. How have they handled at?

F0. 1. What condition have you encountered with yourself because of ______?
2. How have you handled it?

Each Flow run to EP.

PR PR 3

Pr Pr 3 is used when the PC has been destroyed by auditing or the organization or for those overwhelmed by some self-improvement practice.

F1. 1. What condition have you encountered in _______?
(Scientology™ or auditing, clearing, 'self-improvement practice')?
2. How have you handled it?

F2. 1. What condition has another encountered in _______?
(Scientology™ or auditing, clearing, 'self-improvement practice')?
2. How has he/she handled it?

F3. 1. What condition have others encountered in ______?
(Scientology™ or auditing, clearing, 'self-improvement practice')?
2. How have they handled it?

F0. 1. What condition have you encountered in yourself because of ____?
(Scientology™ or auditing, clearing, 'self-improvement practice')
2. How have you handled it?

Each Flow run to EP.

PR PR 4

(Note: Run Pr Pr 1 when there is no TA action on Pr Pr 4 or when the PC is committing present time Overts. A continuing Overt case is committing Overts as a solution.)

F1. 1. Tell me a source.
2. Tell me about it.
3. Tell me a no-source.
4. Tell me about it.

F2. 1. Tell me a source for another.
2. Tell me about it.
3. Tell me a no-source for another.
4. Tell me about it.

F3. 1. Tell me a source for others.
2. Tell me about it.
3. Tell me a no-source for others.
4. Tell me about it.

F0. 1. Tell me about yourself as a source.
2. Tell me about it.
3. Tell me about yourself as a no-source.
4. Tell me about it.

The End Phenomena of each of these processes is that the colors in the room seem brighter and the walls more solid. Run to this point and F/N VGIs.

Hilton: This is run to an EP of recognition of sources with F/N and a brightening of the space. The EP isn't reached on the awareness that one is source. The EP is an ability to recognize sources.

PR PR 5

(Note: Pr Pr 2 is used when the PC brings up only opposites (Dichotomies) on Pr Pr 5 and is collapsed into his Bank by former practices.)

F1. 1. What is?
2. What isn't?

F2. 1. What is for another?
2. What isn't for another?

F3. 1. What is for others?
2. What isn't for others?

F0. 1. What is for yourself?
2. What isn't far yourself?

Run to a floating needle and 3 consecutive answers in present time. The PC should have cycled up and down the track before that. If PC gives Dichotomies (i.e. good-bad etc.), go immediately to Pr Pr 2.

Hilton: This is run to F/N and a shift into present time.

PR PR 6

F1. 1. Tell me an existing condition.
2. Tell me how you have handled it.

F2. 1. Tell me an existing condition for another.
2. Tell me how he/she has handled it.

F3. 1. Tell me an existing condition for others.
2. Tell me how they have handled it.

F0. 1. Tell me an existing condition in yourself.
2. Tell me how you have handled it.

Run to a revivification of the incident that the PC is dramatizing and F/N VGIs.

Hilton: This is run to a reviv of the incident that the person is stuck in followed by a stable shift into awareness of present time.

You didn't like my camels?
I've done Power. Don't recognize some of these processes you listed though. The first time that I did it the Source process got misrun. The others were great. Everyone should run it now and then. I use in when I run some of the Ron's Org stuff on my case. I'm not gone to introvert as to why you put that up there for me. Those processes can't get enough of a plug:p

No reason to introvert. CO is a big fan of power generally. He's recommended it to several of his friends, myself included. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to coordinate it with a likely auditor as yet.

At times like these I wish I was an ace auditor. I even tried to download the BC tapes for myself from a bit torrent posted on this board. I got the external hard drive but was afraid of catching something on my system.
You know, the 'meaning' of some of the major commands has been relayed to me differently at times. Like What Condition Have You Encountered?[/B Someone wanted to run it as a 'stipulation' or a set of guidelines to be met. I just ran it as a situation I had gotten into. It went fantastically that way. I found the major whole track 'fixed idea' that I seemed to be navigating around. It dug out my core beingness under all the other valences.
I resurfaced after all pleasantly surprised feeling like 'me' again..
The Source process was done towards reaching the Geoffrey Filbert 'deeper' EP. There was no deeper EP for me. Maybe shallow was the best I could do at the time.. According to Filbert the process has not much to do with the PC cogniting that 'he' is a source. I lost interest while in the beginning that process was fun. To think about it though right now, I do realize at any given time a person has what he has to give up per the commands. REAL trouble has been gotten into trying to assert that someone run past all that he has .....But I think the grades as well as Power could be recycled again and again.:)

Correctomundo.

The Grades processes could be run again and again. I do not recommend it. Yet if the shoe fits...

Some of my favorite processes are always running, or always available for me to run as I observe the changing conditions of life.

At this stage, when I say, "Run," I don't mean beating the poop out of a process. Typically, one applicable, relevant question is all that's needed.

"What is? What isn't?"

"From where could I communicate to_____?"

Bracket on Help.

Or, I just observe the communication formula and the auditor comm cycle to answer if I am really communicating or if some part of the formula should be corrected before moving on.

Camels??

Did someone mention camels? :D

Me, 1965.

I showed this photo to an American marketing executive a few years back . . . you may find this hard to imagine (it shocked me) but, the lady asked me: "Where was the photo taken?" :duh: (The full size photo that showed the great pyramid in the background was too large for an attachment here, but you can see a part of one side of the Great Pyramid of Cheops here in this cropped version.)

Now I know it's true when I read in the paper that 60% of Americans can't place/locate most of the states of the USA correctly, and with many thinking the capital of the US is up in the Pacific N.W. in the state of Washington :duh:

Ya, this is good, Ted.

It is a very smart move to be continually alert in present time and "running" . . . let's rephrase that . . . and applying the correct process for the moment and the conditions of existence pertaining.

I have found much of value in the idea of a gpm and its application so this strikes me as an EXCELLENT opportunity for a clarification by you of that which is valid.

Mark A. Baker :)

Well, it depends on which version of "GPM" and whose version of such. Hubbard released two versions, and each of which were processed differently at different times :D And, of course, others have released their versions of "GPMs".

So this is really a generality. And honestly it is not a subject I'd get into "debating."

It is true though, that folks will feel some change/relief/gain/whatever from addressing the notion of GPMs; and it is equally true that some folks will get very screwed up by addressing some versions of it.

My view of it is that it is an "almost" right item . . . "GPMs," no matter whose versions or which version of them, do contain some concepts that are common to we spiritual Beings.

And addressing such concepts will give a person some insights.

The error in the notion of "GPMs" is that "this is the issue that is dominating you, controlling you, and containing you . . . and when run you'll be free!"

That is a huge error and a mis-director away from the actual truth of the scene to be handled. But then, maybe that is why so many, as Hubbard did, dive off into this "solution to 'your' case."

The actual scene to be handled if one is to "make it all the way out," is rather horrifically charged. Which is why it gets avoided like hell with diversions like "GPMs."

The bottom line that has to be addressed and resolved if one is to recover the real you and its attendant or composite truths is the following.

One needs to address the wholeness of your true presence of Being, virtues and powers and the misuse of such. That is, the violations committed by their use by you and others, both on self and on others.

And part of the address to this or these basic truths is the address to the solutions one put in place to handle those violations and misuse of power.

Fiddling with "GPMs" is rather like rearranging the furniture in a prison cell and feeling freer and better because of it.

You made my week.:p :bighug:

I really AM going to put this up on my wall as a reminder : BELOW

And just as an indication on how important wants are, one must realize that wants precede one's intentions and doingness . . . wants are the reason and driving force behind our dreams, aspirations, and action!

Violate a person's wants, and you'll really create an enemy for yourself!

:grouch:

Hats, I love it when you and folks like you have wins like this :yes:

I like you and your camels. It wasn't an invalidation. I think of power as a group of processes that help one align their wants and strengths, and find the kinks, allowing you to be more effective at being, getting, and doing what you want.

One of these days, I'll post a video of John McMaster doing power as a group co audit with newbies included. I find, that it runs well with just about everyone. It wakes up spiritual teammates, and gets one moving more so on their own path(s).

It is a little off beat recommending it on a general thread. Even in the good old days of the 60s and early 70s, I knew instances of botched power sessions at ASHO. It takes an auditor, who can really really grant full beingness. There are a lot of auditors out there, who can't audit their way out of a paper bag. In any auditing, find an auditor who can allow you to own the heights, the depths, and the breadth of your soul. Don't take someone, who has an agenda or a bridge that makes you secondary to their procedure(s).
