I think you’re just fine, Lakey…I was jest messin’ with you…there wasn’t any innuendo to it.
I wasn’t trying to preach to you or anyone about money. I guess I was just talkin’ to myself mostly. Everyone is free to look at money as they wish. Of course it’s always good to have some dough. Having dough just doesn’t rule my life.
As long as I wasn’t tryin’ to mooch off her, I wouldn’t want to be with a woman if I felt or knew that me having dough was of importance to her…that simple. How I feel about people and what my opinion of them has not a flippin’ thing to do with whether or not they got dough. Everybody is free to decide what they think is important in another…I just don’t think havin’ or not havin’ dough means that one being is superior, better or more worth interactin’ or bein’ with than the other.
Three and a half years ago I had a wife decide her life would be better if she didn’t spend the rest of it with a brain damaged, useless and invalid husband…all the dough in the world wouldn’t have kept her there but I’m confident she would have stayed a little longer if she knew I’d be croaking soon. I paid for her college, set her up in career, bought her “dream house”, provided an affluent life with lots of first class trips, cloths and goodies but, in the end, it wasn’t the money…or, maybe it was and the fact that I sure wasn’t lookin’ like I’d ever be makin’ any more dough and sure looked like I was gonna be “high maintenance” and needin’ “attention”. I dunno, couldn’t get a straight answer out of her.
Anyway, guess I’m preachin’ again. All I know is, me and the richest person in the world will have the same amount of dough the moment each one of us drops the bod, and that dough ain’t gonna do them no good where ever wee’s goin’ next.
