Thanks for this post, Lakey. This..'just listening' .... is something I experienced with a Class XII at Flag, when I was there. Instead of forcing a process on me, she would just let me itsa to an FN. I never experienced any other auditor that did that. It was great! I'm glad you reminded me of this.

Looking forward to hearing about Purple's new process and the response from you and Ed. I'd like to learn about her new discovery.

My 2nd Session in Scn—over 40 years ago—was on Grade 0 by a student auditor. It was the first Session that Auditor ever gave.

The Auditor listened with complete presence and I Itsad and Itsad and Itsad and boy, was I ever ready to Itsa.

The realizations, releases, resurgences, recoverings and rehabilitations from that Session are why I joined Staff, why I joined the SO as Flag Crew and—ultimately—why I walked away, and are still with me today. I truly wanted everyone else to “feel”, “experience” and “see” what I had. The Line Charge continued for months and months and months and I’m still “Brewin’ in me Rumen” stuff from that Session.

After hundreds and hundreds of hours of Auditing…mostly at Flag, some by Class XII’s, some CSed by El Ron Hisself, a whole bunch of "Flag Only" stuff and Super Power, KTL, WOC pilot stuff…that Grade 0 Session was bestest, most “productive” and life changing of them all by far, far, far and farther than far.

It took me years upon years of dedication and devoted effort and service to realize that wouldn’t happen to everyone in Auditing; that would never happen to me again in Auditing; that institutionalized Scn is an intentionally designed and very deadly trap.

What's the old adage?..."What doesn't kill you makes you stronger".

politically incorrect one liners

I've heard that Apple have scrapped their plans for the new children's iPod after realizing that iTouch Kids is not a good product name.

There's a new Muslim clothing shop opened in Durban, but I've been banned from it after asking to look at some bomber jackets.

You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles but at least they drive slowly past schools.

A biker goes to the doctor with hearing problems. "Can you describe the symptoms to me?" asked the doctor. "Yes. Homer is a fat yellow lazy bastard and Marge is a skinny bird with big blue hair."

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin.I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache."

Just put a deposit down on a brand new Porsche & mentioned it on Facebook. I said, "I can't wait for the new 911 to arrive!" Next thing I know
4000 f.....g Muslims have added me as a friend !

Being a modest man, when I checked into my hotel on a recent trip, I said to the lady at the registration desk, "I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled." To which she replied, "No, it's regular porn, you sick bastard."

Well, that's one way of changing the subject.

Sometimes I wish that a Jewish state would have been formed in some other part of the world. Postwar Germany would have been the most logical candidate for such a state. Also, I believe more likely sites were considered at one time or another such as in Madagascar. Orthodox Jewry's dogmatic insistance that the state had to be formed in Palestine has been a big thorn in the side of the world being at peace. There is really no logical basis for the state having to exist in Palestine other than literal interpretations taken from the Bible. Rather than insisting and demanding this arbitrary location, mandated by the old testament, the world would be far better served if the Jewish state existed somewhere else on land that was not so hotly contested by other religions.

Utah. They can be a countervailing force to the mormons and they'd enjoy the skiing.

Excellent choice! The Jewish state could probably get a much larger area than the measly 8,000 sq miles they have now. Sure its all desert but the Jews were able to make the Negev desert, about 4,000 of their 8,000 sq miles, into something pretty lush. Utah shouldn't be a problem for them. BTW, they would feel right at home with the Great Salt Lake, which would remind them of their Dead Sea, which is also very salty.

Thanks for the Mazel Tov!

Mazel tov Lakey on your new home!!! :happydance: Glad you got your internet connection back on, too.
I've missed you. Tell us how you like your new home as you are settling in and exploring the neighborhood! :)

The new home is acftually a sort of a condo, about 700 sq ft. It is nicely remodeled and is very comfortable. It ain't "The Ritz" but it is not skid row either. The unit is very pristine and has a good aura about it. Being down near the beach, the air is cool, crisp and fresh, especially during these winter months. It is extremely quite in the evening, just like the Simon and Garfunkle song, "The Sound of Silence".

With ex-wifey no longer around for the first time in over 29 years, there is a lot of good in that I am not being continuously made wrong, being invalidated nor being given wrong items. On the other side of the coin, I lie in bed in the morning with no one else in the dwelling and think, "Oh my God, I am all alone now, single again and a bachelor!" This really feels weird, especially at 71 years of age.

This place has a great gym with state of the art equipment and it is free to residents. I plan on making good use of that facility. The development is huge and is excellent for taking long walks. It is a retirement type of facility and people have to be at least 55 to live here.

Though 71, I can not identify with that crowd of oldsters. I am living as if I am in my early 50's. I just do not look, act or feel like 71 year olds normally do. I have been taken for 50 on the low end and 62 is the highest I have been guessed at. Yesterday, the cable tv and internet guy guessed me at 54 and the day before I met a neighbor and they guessed me at 52.

Change is what you make of it.

Let's see some photos.

And here is some unsolicited advice, get your female friends to help you decorate. the more LIVE communication that goes into the condo the better.

as a sidebar::::::::

I was in a pet store tonight. A woman was complaining that of all the dog jackets on display, the one she saw, and rushed home to bring her dog to fit him, that one jacket sold in the half hour that it took her to drive home and back.

My wife and I have bought and sold antiques for decades. You can just see attention directed at items, and them selling.

When my wife saw her (then future) car at an auction, our daughter wanted to get into it, and play with it. My wife took her away. they didn't look at the car at all. we just put a bid in, and no one bid against us.>>>>> the power of attention -- live attention

put some women to sprucing up the joint. You won't be sorry. Their attention will make magic occur.

These are some pictures from a small hole in the wall one bedroom 500 sq ft shack that we rented butt up against other buildings - no view period.

this was out our bedroom window. I built a shelf outside it. we tried live plants, but they died. So this was our fake vegetation view out our bedroom window. Notice the mirror. Mirrors give the illusion of more space.

picture.php

This was a print from Home Goods that I hung on the next door neighbor's wall to give us a sea view instead of a blocked view. Notice a mirror here too.

picture.php

this one looked from our kitchen into the living room. we don't put a lot out, simple views are best, but we do theme the houses, and this was at the beach
picture.php

blank walls need something. Here we had (on top) a quilt holder, and if we didn't want quilts displayed, we had more beach / sea art work that fit the character we created for the unit.

Great post Face, quite apropos for our current discussions, especially Judaism. MAB's erudite comments regarding "Thou Shalts" and "Thou Shalt Nots" seem to me to be closely related to your experiences as regards your first session as compared with all you subsequent sessions. It is also apropos as to how a lower trained person such as myself can help a more highly trained person such as Purple Haze.

Your student auditor just listened with complete presence and acknowledged. Undoubtedly he or she really "cared" about you and wanted to help you. The key point is that this student had not yet been indoctrinated into all the "thou shalts" and "thou shalt nots" of auditing procedure.

Perhaps my biggest gain in Scientology was the learning of the theory and procedure of TR 2 while having some semblance of TR0 in. This would be right in line with your student auditor's procedures.

Being there for another person, listening and acknowledging so that the person knows they have been heard (and hopefully duplicated), is the crux of auditing or probably any valid therapy. This is how I am able to give Candy a substantial amount of relief, even though her auditing knowledge and skills are far beyond mine.

It is a magic elixer which anyone can use to help another person. The term "safe space" is often used to describe a person who is a good listener. The thing that sets me apart from the new group of friends which I have made in psychic and para psychology circles is that I go out of my way to be a good listener and I give very high affinity acknowledgements.

In examining my dialogues with these people, they have above average TR's but none of them goes out of their way to really focus on the person they are talking to and then really listen intently to what that person is saying and then give a high affinity type of acknowledgement. Occasionally, if I have had a big win, they will give a large high affinity ack; it really feels good when that occurs.

I can understand that Hubbard would not promote doing this "Listen and Acknowledge" therapy. Doing so would have been counterproductive to the expansion of his empire. Still, most ex Scientologists were trained to be able to do this so if we are smart enough to figure out how powerful it is, then it is ours to use from here on out.

How about reports from a store selling Burkas in Afghanistan? There was a large number of oversized Burkas being purchased. It was assumed that since the Taliban was overthrown, women had been putting on weight. To the contrary, the buyers were a group of male bankrobbers who wore the Burkas when they went to obtain their driver's licenses. The license photos then did not reveal their faces so the police could not track them down. (A sick joke I just made up)........Lakey

Looks to me like stereotype thinking is still very prevalent in the "ex"=scio community. Instead of classifying them as wogs, SPs or DBs, one sees only a change in the label while the thinking remains unchanged. Tsk Tsk.

Thank you, Lakey, for your thought-filled response.

I think there are two key points…the one you wrote in bold and the fact that I was willing to look at anything, confront anything honestly and openly to own or have whatever it took to become more aware and gain understanding about myself, others and life. I was a “hard working”, “no nonsense” and “all business” PC, and I am sure that could be said for many others here on this thread. I never thought results in session was all up to the C’S, Auditor or the “Tech”.

I was never much interested in “OT Powers” and “Abilities”...I wanted to become more aware, raise ARC and especially U. I wanted to increase Be more than Have and the ability to grant Beingness to others more than the ability to Do “OT” stuff. My study and application of Scn helped me get some of all that, without a doubt. However, my study and application of many other things have helped me also.

Nearly all of what was positive and helpful to me from Scn is wrapped up in a few concepts, techniques and experiences I had. The vast majority of the rest of my years and thousands and thousands of hours working in and doing Scn was for me in retrospect, at best, Philosophical Amway and Spiritual Masterbation, Circle Jerking and Cluster Fucking.

The SO was a different story. The SO is Philosophical Fascism and Spiritual Preying, Vampirism and Voodoo.

AUDITING AND THETA TRAINING

My New Year's resolution re 2011

re: AUDITING AND THETA TRAINING

Open letter to everyone:

When working with L. Ron Hubbard on the ship, he awarded me the top Sea Org Missionnaire status of POWER for my New Era Dianetics Mission to NYC. I then went on to be the Celebrity Auditor for Yvonne Gillham's Celebrity Center here in Hollywood. After this I set up very successful Field Practices, Auditing, C/S-ing and hatting class 8 Auditors.

Then I retired home to Hawai'i. Yawn...

While the thought of retiring was good in theory, in reality, being separated from what I love doing the most, is proving to be cruel and unusual punishment. Upon this basis, I've decided to take on new Auditing clients and train new Auditors, since it does concern me that such skills of excellence are not being passed onto the next generation.

Therefore, if anyone wants Training and/or Auditing in my specialty areas, please contact me with your details by return email.

Merry Christmas and a very prosperous 2011

Aloha,

Candy Swanson

Class VIII; XDN; original OT VII; OEC; Executive Director; Research & Development Specialist;
Review Auditing and Case Correction; Course Supervision and Administration; Ethics,Tech, & Admin Trainer

Also: Masters of Social Work [University of Hawai'i 2002], Couples Consultant, Autism Specialist, etc.

Yes Face, I was looking at it from only the auditor's contributions to a session. Thanks for emphasizing the PC's contributions to a session, the willingness and ability to confront honestly anything and everything plus the other traits which you possessed when you first started out.

One would assume that having a rookie auditor, just training on a lower level, and a new PC who didn't know the ropes would lead to a mediocre session at best, with minimal gain. Your session, however, shows just the opposite result with your first session being your best session ever! This is really a remarkable outcome if you stop to think about it.

Your last two paragraphs are very descriptive. especially the last paragraph describing the Sea Org. If ever any group in history has not lived up to its billing, the Sea Org is it.

FreeBeing:

As Candy's friend, I wish to say a word on her behalf. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Hawaii from 2002 and she does relationship coaching, marriage rescue from the brink of divorce and group family healing. She was also trained and worked as an autism specialist.

Candy is an entrepeneur, having successfully owned and run five different types of restaurants and she has delivered business consultation services, etc..

So, you see FreeThinker, you can avail yourself of Candy's services and still keep your New Years Resolution intact! By the way, many people do not know this but Candy has been inactive with the C of S since 1973,
