I spent some time this afternoon reading back through a bunch of the posts on this Thread from last Summer and Fall.

Man-O-Man has some fabulous stuff been posted on the "Apollo" Thread...absolutely F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!! :thumbsup::yes::coolwink::happydance::clap:

Men and women who seduce and con successfully know that they must disrupt your sense of stability, and so they try to make you starstruck with something about themselves concerning what they have to offer. Your insecurity allows them to move in according to their plan.

They see your holes, and they strive to make you 'think' that they can fill them.

Sooo.. the key to avoiding the seduction of a con is to know yourself and to listen to your instincts. Know your weaknesses, know what, and where your holes are.

Now, we have all been harmed, hurt, and betrayed on some level in our lives. It's just part of the human experience and we all have holes... in varying degrees. It's a life long journey to close our soul's holes and along the way are many ups and downs.. and some of our worst experiences can be the ones that enable us to heal the most, in order, that we can become more whole.

Allow hurts to heal you, and make you aware of who you are, and if you can be honest deep into your very soul to the essense of what makes up 'you'...so, you will be able to see how the seduction of the con lured you in.

Examine who you are in the situation and try to be brutally honest with yourself. Sure, you may have been conned, but look to see why they picked you, why you were susceptible, and how it all happened.

It seems that there are more and more cons these days and more varying ways to con going on in our world.

Listen to your gut instincts...Know thyself and to thine own self be true. Integrity, honesty, truth and respect are what any real human interaction is based on and any relationship must have, in order, to endure and most certainly a relationship that includes love. Be aware of this always...

But integrity, honesty, truth and respect begin with self. When you feel and apply these things to yourself, you will be more able to realize when someone isn't treating you in this manner. And you will either move away from the person, or situation, or communicate your thoughts and feelings. And when you do communicate, if you feel unsatisfied with the interaction... honor how you feel. HONOR YOURSELF!

If you don't honor yourself, few others will. Doubt yourself and the con, instinctively knows it, and they move in because they know that they have you and that you are an easy mark.

What do these statements mean to you? Remember the recent post.."Sometimes when you lose, you win." Sometimes, when you win you lose."

Think about it.. it will make sense!

It might be interesting to run Justifications for conning others. It is most often done to deprive one identity of something the other wants to have for themselves by making someone believe something 'false'. I used to see it going on more often than I do today with the exception of these numerous back room deals using the tax payers' money.

When I think back at all the cons I witnessed when I first relocated to Florida with the rest of those evacuating the Great Lakes states in the early 70s I turn a little pale. You name it. We were fair game. Even Howard Johnson's hit you up for 75cents for a 4 oz glass of OJ in 1972. Do you know what minimum wage was in Fla at the time???

I remember all the adds placed in newspapers where you paid someone a hundred dollars to locate a job or an apt for you. When you got the listings they were always obsolete. I remember all those who lost thousands inevesting in time share property before it became more legit. Hell, you couldn't even buy genuine dope it was so cut up. The difference in the social stratospheres that weren't easily traversed seemed to make taking away from the sucker 'HAVES' and funneling into one's own pocket fair and square. I'm reminded of the opening scene from Oliver with the Artful Dodger in the market place. Dramatizations.... playing out between the haves and have nots. (Which is one reason the budget cuts are scarey) The conning of something out of one person whether spiritual or financial to fill a hole left in you from some area of deprivation is a dramatization. I have entertained the notion that stores of implants listed in CC materials could be the wares of travelling carnies sold to beings who wanted to degrade others. Degrading other spiritual beings is often based on a deep seated jealously. Conning others is an attempt to cause a degrade as much as it is an attempt to have for oneself. Con artists are different from bank robbers and murderers. They enjoy 'shifting the position' held by another in the game and letting the shock sink in.

These days you open the manual only to have to wade through a half dozen or more other languages to find something you can understand. When you get to the text it really says nothing of importance.

Apple had the right idea with the simple user interface now adopted by Windows. The user looks at the interface. It graphically shows him what his choices are, then he gets on with using the computer. Today that's a bit more complicated as there are many icons and functions beyond spreadsheets, databases, and word processing. But the idea remains. Use the gear first, then consult the manual.

My experience is that church auditors have been made overly cautious as students and as auditors. Keeping Scientology Working, and all that blustering horse-shit gives the student the idea that auditing is complex. It is not. Auditing is no more than good communication under a special contract between auditor and pc. That contract does not come fully into view until auditing takes place, not until both auditor and pc are able to recognize a gain, and not until the auditor knows when to persist and when to end off.

I have taken folks new to the subject and trained them to deliver auditing, and had them auditing within hours. Audit, guide, correct. Repeat, over and over. Eventually the auditor arrives. This is teaching or instruction. It is verbal data. Heaven forbid! But it gets the job done. Then if the student wishes to become a real pro they can do the formal training, read books and bulletins, listen to lectures, attend congresses, and so on.

I just think the priority is in getting the students auditing post haste. Then let them fill in the blanks and satisfy their curiosity as it arises. "Read it, drill it, do it" also works -- in a safe environment, safe where students are allowed the learning experience and not slammed for making a mistake or being less than perfect.

A beginner can start auditing very quickly, for sure, and get good results.

If someone wants training in a courseroom there are several options I'm aware of in the US, that are not CBR: Freezone Elma in Elma WA, Rey Roble's group in Reno, NV, The Life Improvement Center of Couer De Lane (sp) Idaho, and Midwest Tech Center in Indiana.

There are other groups that operate under the radar and other groups that are forming... If someone is looking for training, feel free to contact me for connections to other groups.

Face and Hats - Fear no more about the contents of the Apollo '73 thread. I just returned from a 4 day trip up to northern California with Purple Haze. We stayed at Tatiana's home. She has a fantastic website set up and told me to cull the Apollo thread and tag all the posts which I think are memorable and merely supply her with a list of categories and the links to the post under their appropriate category and she will permanently store them on her site and link them to other related website on the internet.

As far as topics go, we can go by the Name of a particular poster, a broad title such as "Tech" or more specific types of techs such as LRH tech of the 1950's or Alan Walter's Tech, Captain Bill Robertson Tech, Freudian Tech, Psychology Tech or whatever particular techs we have discussed. We can have light hearted categories such as our discussions of automobiles and airplanes, we can have aesthetic categories such as music - Rock, music -Show tunes, Music - Classical, Music - Country, etc. We can have photo albums, our favorite top 10 lists are any number of things.

If people want to assist me on the suggesting of setting up their favorite categories, they are more than welcome to do so and the same goes for their favorite posts. We have over 10,700 replies at this time, certainly at least 1,000 are worthy of being catgegorized and preserved, perhaps 2,000 are worthy enough to merit this.

Thanks for your comments on Ted's post plus the information you gave us Marina. Also it was a pleasure to meet you and your husband the night before last up in Cupertino!! And, the next FZ convention will be in Vegas in Oct....exact time and date to be announced.

Part and parcel to the facts and theories we lay out, are the interactions among the contributors.

If you have a Ted post section, that won't do the Apollo thread justice.

It needs to be topic oriented, so that the exact give and take of all the participants is on display. This would include the acknowledgements too. What people like is we are a live discussion group, not cold dead tech bulletins.

and we'll need pictures and youtube videos to make the comments more real. Over the years, I've disposed of pics, but I can find them and partially recreate the ones that I did.

Face - I just read Shooting Stars, Part 6 and it was a terrific read, very informative and entertaining.

MORE ON THE TRIP NORTH TO CUPERTINO

NOTE: Tatania's website where the best of Apollo '73 will be linked is called "THE SCIENTOLOGY FORUM" and is already up and running and has an enormous amount of interesting and informative content, including photos and video interviews. It is amazing how much work Tatiana has put in on this and how all encompassing this website is and how much more it will encompass when more and more venues such as this one are linked to it. I suggest everyone check out this website and contribute to it.

On the 18th, just as we were set to leave L.A., Carmelo called and suggested that Candy and I postpone the trip due to extremely heavy storms up North. We agreed to do so and called to inform Tatiana. She pleaded with us to come anyway since all of her guests were told we would be there. We decided that by taking the inland route rather than the coastal, we would be able to avoid most of the rains, we did so and that worked out for us....almost no rain all the way there!

The first day, Tatiana made videos, 8 of Candy and 2 of me. Candy and I administered the Personal Capacity Analysis questions to both Tatiana and her husband.

On day 2, we visited with my first cousin Burt and his lady friend, Suzanne. Burt lives up in Palo Alto area and drove down to Cupertino for brunch with us. We had a delightful time. I graded and graphed the PCA's we had taken the previous day from Tatiana and her husband. Around 6:00 PM, the guests started arriving. All guests were either Russians or veteran auditors or both.

A graduation was held for their Independent Scio Mission in the Cupertino area. Several people had graduated from the basic Div 6 type intro courses which they offer.

We met three of the auditors, in addition to Tatiana. BTW, Tatiana was the first Sea Org Member in Russian, going back to around 1989.

We had the pleasure of meeting Dexter Gelfand and his wife Marina who drove down 2 hours for the event. Also present was a veteran auditor, Dan Koon and last but not least was Mikhail (nicknamed Mischa) who had worked at "Gold" from around 1988 to 2005.

A RECENT TRAIT OF VETERAN EXECS FAR DIFFERENT FROM THE 1970'S
Tatiana, Mischa and also Mark Headly, whose very recent radio interview, we heard on CD while driving up were all veteran ex Sea Org members, working for or at Int Management for from 13 to 17 years.

When you talk to these people, you feel that you should be talking to seasoned veterans who know all about the "tech" and have completed their lower bridges and know all about the upper bridge. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!

None of these people had received any auditing whasoever, except for sec checking or perhaps some short action which was required in their post hatting. None of them had ever completed a Life Repair or had Dianetics run on them or any auditing on the grades. None of them knew anything about the Xenu story or the upper levels. Of course, some people, such as Tatiana in particular had found out much after leaving C of S but for the most part, it appears that today's upper level management are often kids grabbed during their youth who only work long hours for Management without any effort at all being made to get them trained or processed. There is not even any lip service paid to them going up the bridge, except perhaps during recruitment.

Hi, Gary! I was a first SO-member in Russia, yes. But not an executive ever. I used to be a Course Sup in Russia and an hgc auditor in ccint later.
