True for me and you and most of us.

But the statement by Hubbard neglects mass.

The key word in the statement that throws things askew is "alone." The old boy was just too full of himself.

He of course contradicted himself, and refined his statements and so on.

That he was " full of himself" may be a standard comment with truth.

Don't think it applies here.

One might assume some particles, or even all particles have mass. Or varying mass.

The statement that speed is good seems OK. This is an indefinite statement not specially related to mass. Big masses may go slower, smaller ones may go faster. Well if you like Newton.

That still true in the spiritual domain?

Wondering.

Stop with the limitations of labeling.

Now SEE?!

Now, that's a scary picture!

And then what happened?

Besides a camera, does the guy in the tree, or behind the tree, have a gun?

That's the kind of picture that makes so many girls afraid to pee in the woods! "But, what if a bear came along while I had my pants down?" is the most often heard while explaining to my daughters friends while camping. This picture should be banned! (although, Africa may be a case where you want some supervision while peeing).

Peeing in the woods is an invigorating experience approximated only by peeing in one's own backyard. Supervision is not required but on occasion a very nice addition to the experience.

Million a month is actually high speed of particle flow.

Particles per unit time is the measure.

Then, power has been stated to be about holding ones position in space
or similar.

Two aspects of power.

Related IMO.

How exactly? Ideas ?

To make the particles move you yourself have to be capable of holding your own position.

A motor lifting a weight is fine while it is bolted down. If the fixing comes loose it becomes the motor that moves - uncontrolably

Gerald Celente

And Hubbard was right. Tech [any tech, but particularly social techs, and betterment techs, and justice techs, and finance techs] will not go in when Ethics are out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqM7wq0W_kw

I have been watching Gerald Celente for about 4 years now. He "gets" it. When he says we are being led into the first great war of the 21st century, he is not blowing any smoke up anyones butt. The economies are being intentionally pushed into global crisis through debt and fiat currency. Little "bonuses" like the Japan tsunami only make it happen faster. At the right moment, world government steps in as the solution, world currency is trotted out, and there goes the US Constitution and your civil rights. Somewhere in there Iran gets invaded. The ownership of all that oil transfers from Arab shieks to London bankers, and their minions in Washington. They ( New World Order/Bilderberg group)have said they intend to reduce the population of Earth by 80% and they have the means to accomplish that in several ways. Crushing police state afterwards. It may be a bit harder to "make things go right" if it gets that far.

Remodeling Contractors - Peeing in another's backyard.

Peeing in the woods is an invigorating experience approximated only by peeing in one's own backyard. Supervision is not required but on occasion a very nice addition to the experience.

:wink2:

Being a remodeling contractor, the workmen and the contractor often peed in the backyards of people's homes. Usually, the jobs were too small to invest in a port-a-potty, and the people let us in to pee. Often, the homeowner's were gone so we'd just go behind some bushes in their back yard and do it. The most popular area was the area behind the garage.

About Celente, the man is very outspoken and is nobody's fool. I still have a some doubt as to oil being the prime motivation behind the French, British and U.S. leaderships making warlike moves in the middle East and North Aftrica. To convince me, I would have to see some flow charts of how various paries in the USA and Brittain are now benefitting from the oil in Iraq, for example.

To say that Obama and Hillary Clinton are in it for oil does not seem to make much sense. The USA has tremendous oil reserves, greater than all the Arab countries combined, within its borders, including Alaska, and its offshore areas. The Obamas and Hillarys of the world are blocking the development of U.S oil resources and are trying to push us off of reliance on oil into going with "greener" forms of energy. Also, Hillary is indicating that she is giving up her post after 2012 and Obama will be gone either after 2012 or 2016 so why would those two among many others have such an intense interest in the U.S. taking over control of the Libyan oil fields?

I am not saying Celente is wrong, but I would need much more data to get fully onbard with what he is saying.

Olska post # 1248 from the Candy thread :

"Lakey,

I think your analysis and opinions -- and very likely your enjoyment of life, though since all I know about your life is what you tell us here on the board -- are encumbered by two factors:

1) denial
2) arrested development

both of these are characteristic of addicts (though they can also be found in people who are not recognized as addicts), and of the two denial is the better known and most easily recognized, while arrested development is less obvious to the untrained observer, and so it too often escapes attention and remedy.

I suspect, from what you have told us about your life, and from the way you "reason" and the way you write here, that your development was arrested somewhere around the time you got involved with scientology. Possibly this happened BEFORE you got involved with scientology, and you then hoped that scientology would help you with the symptoms of which you were aware and for which you had no remedy.

I say this because your behavior on this forum is rather typical of adolescence -- a determination to be "right" while at the same time wanting to please people, which most people outgrow long before they reach your age; and a reluctance to grow up, which you seem to equate with "growing old," as though growing old were some kind of horror.

Along with that, you seem to believe that you "know best" as though the rest of us are pretty stupid, in the way that teenagers and some young twenty-somethings are often sure that their parents are just the stupidest people they know, and that they (the teenager) are so waaaaaay far ahead. That's how you're writing comes across.

Further, much of what you write is about your apparent obsession with youth -- with trying to look young, being so pleased when people flatter you by telling you that you look twenty years younger than you are (actually you don't, in your photos you look every bit the age you are), remarking on how young other "old" people look (how good Candy looks even though she's past 60, etc. when in fact Candy looks like a woman in her sixties, which she is).

Coupled with this and threaded through your posts is a kind of "worship" of women -- you often admit to seeking their guidance and direction, as though you need their help to manage your life; while you seem to be quite competitive toward other men, determined to "win debates" with them thus proving your manhood (?), rather than feeling comfortable with them as your peers and simply sharing information or ideas.

Lastly, the length of your posts, and the volume of posts you submit, and your obsession with "hits" and "stats" on the threads you engage in, are indicative of internet addiction, an affliction similar to video game addiction -- both of which are common in adolescents in today's world.

If you are truly interested in improving the quality of your life, you might want to further investigate.

Or not.

EDIT: I see you've edited and changed your post since I quoted it, not a problem, but I'd like to point out that the quote you attribute to Helluva was actually from a post by Markus. Thought you'd want to know."

What am I supposed to be addicted to? I guess you mean posting. I have made 3211 posts since joining in Feb, 2009. I average 4.1 posts a day, does that sound like an addiction? How about Zinjifar, 17,200 posts, Dull Old Fart 14200, Alanzo 13,300, Vinnaire 11,900, Helluvahoax 6,311. You single me out at 3200 posts but say nothing of Alanzo and Helluva. Helluva writes some long and complicated posts as well, as does Vinnaire. Your bias in singling me out as being addictive is just overwhelming!

I have no determination to be "right". I am often wrong and I am one of the few on ESMB who will admit when they are wrong. My motivation is to get to the truth. I have no interest in pleasing people. I feel most people have a lot of good in them and thoroughly study other peoples' posts to see how things could be the way they say. If they do not agree with me, I could care less.

I enjoy being 71, I am making far more new friends than ever and I feel I am growing spiritually, mentally and socially. I thought I would be feeble and shriveled at this age and instead am having the time of my life! Your comments are 180 degrees wrong.

I don't "know best", not by any means! Some of the ones who I learn from on this thread are Roger, Hatsheput, Ted, Carmelo, Candy, Mark Baker, Faceinthecrowd and Leon. They are probably smarter than me, who knows and who cares? There are many others as well.

On the Sharone thread, I learned some things from my opponents, Gottabrain the most, Veda, Markus, Sharone, ItoldyouIwastrouble, DB and yourself just to name a few. There are a few who's posts were just annoyances, there was nothing really there to learn from. With those people I put them on ignore.

This is a youth based society. Look at all the money being spent on cosmetic surgery. I would never get that done. It is just a game attempting to look young. I usually get guessed from 54 to 62. You and my daughter both think I look 71. Big Deal, its just a light hearted game, inconsequential. Now keeping one's mind agile and youthful, that is another matter. I think it behoves all of us to work on that!

Throughout my period in school through college and while I was single, nearly all my friends were men. At CCLA, I had two female friends, Bev Carter and Susan Todhunger. Those were my first platonic female friends.

Now that I have raised a family and my libido is lower, I have made a recent spate of female friends, Candy, lh, my old opera singer friend from the 70's. There is so much to learn from being around women. Except for Bev and Susan T., I missed this my whole life, never having had a sister. It just so happens that at this juncture of life, I have more female friends than male friends. There is no particular significance attached to this. Certainly, I am not doing this to win debates or demonstrate my manhood. That is really grasping at staws. It is a silly theory just 180 degrees from the truth
.

Lastly, the length of your posts, and the volume of posts you submit, and your obsession with "hits" and "stats" on the threads you engage in, are indicative of internet addiction, an affliction similar to video game addiction -- both of which are common in adolescents in today's world.

The volume of my posts is low, 3210 posts since I joined February 15, 2009. I average only 4.1 posts a day. Some are short, some are medium and most are long. I just take as much space as I need to try and get my point across. Alonzo who sides with you has 13,300 posts and Helluva has 6311. Are they also in denial and do they also have arrested growth? How about Zinjifar 17,200 posts? Wow, you see things through the prism of your biases.

If you are truly interested in improving the quality of your life, you might want to further investigate.

Or not.

I am interested in improving the quality of my life but I am sure not going to be taking advice from you on how to do it.

EDIT: I see you've edited and changed your post since I quoted it, not a problem, but I'd like to point out that the quote you attribute to Helluva was actually from a post by Markus. Thought you'd want to know."

I am aware of this. The quote was from Markus but Helluva bought into it as being correct so my comments to Helluva still stand.

Wow! I am honored to get so much ink from you. Unfortunately, I think you are wrong on your two major premises, denial and arrested growth.

For example, I am loving being my age. I am 71 and when I was a kid, a 71 year old man was usually senile, shriveled up to some degree and using a walker. Society has made some advancements in nutrition and medical knowledge and procedures and at 71, I am enjoying the life of a man around 50. I was in aerospace for 9 years, spent 2 years in the Sea Org and then ran my construction business for 37 years. It is really nice now to be able to devote a lot of my time to having fun and exchanging ideas with people. I feel more alive and happier than ever and am really enjoying being this age.

I like Mozart so much because he was youthful his entire life. He only lived to age 35 but even at the end near death he was writing fairy tale operas, making jokes and horsing around.

I don't need to be liked by anyone, I do try to analyze opposing views, figuring most people have a lot of good in them and I try hard to see what they are saying. I do this so as to attempt to grow and be able to take on more viewpoints, which I consider is being more Godlike.

When I was on the Oh!God! thread in 2009, it was pointed out that God or Cause has an infinite number of viewpoints while each person only has one. The suggestion was made that if a person wanted to be more Godlike, it would serve them well to take on more viewpoints, as many as they can. I add this clarification because Toad already criticized me for say this.

You are way, way off the mark on why I try to find common ground with the people I disagree with. I guess, in short, I am attempting to be Pan Determined when I look very seriously at what they are saying and trying to see how things could be that way.

A specific thing which I gained from my debate oponents on the Sharone thread showing Candy's videos is that I now think that brand new people just expressing an interest in the Scn Freezone and Independent field showed by given a pack or told verbally about the various horror stories of how C of S and Hubbard have harmed people's lives.

One shortcomming of all my opponents on that thread was that I put this question to each of them, probably about 10 times and no one there would ever acknowledge the question nor give me an answer. If you will acknowledge this question and give me an answer, I would really appreciate it and think highly of you, so here it is:

Hubbard has a policy that if one does not agree 100% with his tech and his world view, then they are declared suppressive and kicked out of his group. You and your friends are following Hubbard's policy on that and demanding full 100% agreement with your concept that everything in Scn and everything about Hubbard is evil and must be ignored and destroyed. I am not following Hubbard's policy. I feel that I can be an ally and friend to someone who does not believe as I believe 100%.

You people are insisting that you are against everything Hubbard and that I am bad because I still find some truth in Hubbard's teachings. So you see, in this important area, I am anti-Hubbard and you guys are pro Hubbard. I AM SAYING THAT WHEN YOU PEOPLE ENFORCE YOUR 100% AGREEMENT RULE, THEN TO THAT EXTENT, YOU BECOME MORE LIKE HUBBARD AND C OF S. I AM STANDING UP FOR MY RIGHT TO EXERCISE FREE SPEECH AND THE RIGHT TO FORM My OWN OPINIONS WITHOUT BEING ATTACKED. YOU ARE THE ONE'S FOLLOWING HUBBARD POLICY, NOT ME!!

With all that in mind, I would say that the uninformed opinions where you pointed your finger at me, do reflect the other three fingers pointing back at yourself. This is something that Candy frequently points out and I had figured this one out earlier on my own as well. What you have written about me should be applied to yourself. You have revealed that you are in denial and have arrested development. Thank you.

I took you off Ignore yesterday because I am no longer going to post on the Sharone thread. Right away you show up here with your same make wrongs so its back on ignore for you.

How the hell do you come up with the agreement that what Olsa wrote is accurate. Most of the analysis points are 180 degrees from the truth. I have met you three times, and we talked for about 15 minutes each time. How would you have any idea what was true about my psyche. You just blab your opinions without gathering any facts or doing any thinking. Your stuff is just kneejerk reactions usually with no basis in fact.

I also cleared up what I meant by attempting to be more Godlike. I doubt if you will comprehend what I am saying there but at least I tried.

We did Riverside Art Walk last night!

Candy, LH, myself and a mystery ESMB member who does not wish to be mentioned did the Riverside Art walk last night. We had a great time and at a Russian - Jewish deli. The food was outstanding. LH had never had Matza h ball soup before and tried that while the mystery person had Borscht.

LH moved to Riverside and Candy is spending lots of time there these days so I introduced them to the mystery person who knows that area pretty well.

I forgot to bring my camera but we took pictures using my cell phone. I don't know yet how to get the photos off of that camera and into my computer but when I figure it out, I will post some pictures.

Riverside is a very interest City and area in general. At just under 300.000 om population, it has a bit of a big city atmosphere and a lot of small town atmosphere as well. The big hit against it is the summer heat but aside from that it is a delight city, about 60 miles from L.A and 40 miles from Orange County.

' How the hell do you come up with the agreement that what Olsa wrote is accurate."" ( In my best scientologese voice ) What she said Indicated !

If opinions about people are not allowed unless one has vast real life experience with the person one is allowed to form an opinion about then the future of chat boards is in dire trouble !
( Contrary to popular belief a chat board in neither a court of law or a high school debate held in the science lab ).

It is one thing to tout the value of TRs ( confront ) and the lower scn grades ( Grade 0 - ability to talk to anybody about anything..etc ) - and then you put me on ignore ? LOL !

I have touted some "virtues" of LRH and some "virtues " of the tek.

Where we part in our sense of fairness is when I mention that Hitler loved his dog and treated it very well, uh, right up the moment he tested the cynadide on it. I don't just talk about what a great pet lover Hitler was when I know damn well know he killed his dog.

You say that now after being on the ESMB ( since sometime in 2009 )you warn new people of at least some of the , shall we say, dark side of scientology.

I do believe you said that. I ask you in speaking to the new people you have spoken to in the last month have you warned them at all ?

Are you doing what you said you would do or are you just saying on here what sounds good?

Maybe girls should wear skirts with no undies while in the woods. That way they could run like hell at a moments notice without being shackled with pants down around their ankles or having to pull them up in order to run. They could just squat and run if need be. Or they could wear those undies that are split down the middle with their skirt. Who knows.....might save a life someday. :D
