Anhh, Toady,

I try to get the truth expressed, for it is the truth that undoes the "funny" stuff.

Running around missing the truth only adds to the confusion.

And eventually, when enough hints have hit the ground after never being taken up, one really needs be direct.

I was expecting some to accuse me of being UNkind in my post :melodramatic: but the kindest thing one can do for friends is to point to the truth that they might benefit.

Though Lakey is named, I suspected, as you express, it might 'indicate" and relieve charge for others :wink2: One must realize there are many more on this thread than any one person :)

And speaking of others . . . where's the famous Face? :p

R

Hey Rog...thanks for thinking about Ole Face here.
:yes::coolwink:

For those here that have interest, I have posted "Shooting Stars", Part Twelve.

Hubbard gave "charge" a bad connotation.

But, life cannot be lived without charge. Charge is life force--sometimes mismanaged, but life force nevertheless.

Charge as Scios know it is to be gotten rid of.

By examination, by review, a being is able to (re)evaluate its relationship to an experience or terminal, and bring the life force known as charge into a useful, desirable state.

It doesn't take much shift in perception to step out of the Hubbardian box. Such a step opens up a while new world of relationships and understandings.

In taking in particular what I've quoted below, is that not what auditing does?

"By examination, by review, a being is able to (re)evaluate its relationship to an experience or terminal, and bring the life force known as charge into a useful, desirable state."

And, fellow posters, I ask you this :

Do you get your visiting family to look at what somebody said about you on a fucking chat board?

Or, in real life, do you run around sharing your online life ?

Which leads me to :

Is being online and what other posters say about you really the most important thing in you life?

Sometimes this thread reminds me of group therapy. :roflmao:

And to you, my dear FoTi, I owe you a thank you for your good and useful advices on remedies, herbal mixes and such.

As you might have observed I've been a little waylaid by other traffic.

You're one person I listen to and take advice on matters of health/remedies/nutrition and such from.

I do have olive leaf extract already on hand for use as first-aid remedy for vital infections such as the the flu . . . but the idea of olive leaf tea :nervous: you don't mind if I stick with my coffee fix do you? :p

To (mis)quote one of my favorite movies: I've come accustomed to it's face and feel :D

So what are you trying to convey, communicate or ask here T?

It comes across on my end as a series of disrelated statements.

That first sentence is a mystery to me . . . what are you trying to say, ask, express, convey or whatever?

The last two paragraphs make sense, and are appreciated . . . but what's the viewpoint you allude to putting out? I don't see it in your post :confused2:

R

Primarily I'm saying I should be one who gets what you say.
Mostly or at least. But I don't. Not saying its your fault or my fault.
Don't know. I suspect both.

Am suggesting you may wish to clarify more and express things
in easier ways to understand.

Here I will give an extrapolation which may not be correct. You
use "jargon" [ not meant derogatorily] from Knowledgism which I've never really got, mixed to some degree with scn jargon.

This may not communicate to all. Specially if one as well versed as I don't get it.

I'm in a strange position here in that I'm generally well able to understand the written word.

First statement was an expression of agreement and understanding
re the sentence I quoted.

This is intended to help, whether it does or not.

No, I don't mind at all. Just because I put something like that on the board, doesn't mean anyone has to use it. I'm just sharing what works for me, in case anyone else might find it useful.

Prior to the Purif, I was a very heavy coffee drinker...I loved expresso with half and half for breakfast. This might sound kind of silly, but I ran out coffee on the Purif. After the Purif, I could never drink coffee again without getting very nervous :nervous: , so as much as I love the taste and the smell, I never drink it. Even if I drink decaf, at anytime of the day, I can't go to sleep at night, so I very rarely drink it either. I also can't drink green tea because it wires me....too stimulating. And I love green tea with Japanese food. My replacement for coffee now is Olive Leaf Tea in the morning. :)

Have you ever tasted olive leaf tea? (just curious)

No . . . never tasted olive tea.

My we are getting exotic here  I never knew of the stuff till you mentioned it.

Though I have two things to say on the subject, now that you've stirred me up :)

1) if you drink the stuff regularly you should be impervious to any viral shit that attempts to interfere with your equilibrium :p
2) when I've taken the olive leaf extract tablets . . . wow! You do feel the stuff get to work! It's one of the most bio-active things I've taken

But . . . tastes like shit! :D (to quote Mr. Dundee) And for the record, I'm an avid olive oil man and eat olives very regularly (couple of times a week)

So, FoTi, can I die happy with my coffee? Please? :p

"By examination, by review, a being is able to (re)evaluate its relationship to an experience or terminal, and bring the life force known as charge into a useful, desirable state."

Yes, that is exactly what good, effective auditing does.

Given the changing tech, pc's sit down with different definitions in mind, and different expectations. The metaphor of clearing a bank of charge and blowing charge gives the impression that charge is simply blown away. Or, earlier in Dianetics, charge is moved to the analytical mind. My point is, we are surrounded by life. We ARE life. We communicate with each other. We mis communicate. We violate each others' expectations, goals, purposes, and do other things during the give and take of life force.

Today, I am who I am because of my participation in Scientology and adherence to Hubbard's written and spoken words. That gave me a tremendous boost in life and an orientation that I find useful to this day. On the other hand, Hubbard was a pathological liar and a vane, self-centered old fuck.

In 1989 I was in the process of rejecting everything that Hubbard said or wrote. Ultimately, that was not helpful. I could have rejected everything, all the info, everything I did personally and every win I witnessed in pc's sitting three feet in front of my face. Then what?

I say, I could have... But there was no denying, for me, the truth of my experience. Slowly I picked up a piece of tech here, a piece there examining each piece to determine if it were shit or Shinola. I am still sorting. Some things that I originally accepted as the real Shinola turned out on second examination to be the shit that I would not want on my shoes.

My task now is to reexamine the things I learned in Scientology for the third and fourth times, determine where Hubbard inserted a twist to satisfy his self-interest and -importance, then communicate my findings to anyone who will listen.

That thing about charge, in Scientology it is gotten rid of to the glee of ignorant, trusting pc's. There is a thrill to getting rid of stuff. "Wee!" F/N, VGI's. In some instances this type of EP turns out to be a lessening of responsibility, not an acceptance of more. The more trust the gleeful or the dedicated place in Hubbard the further in the trap they get.

As for me, I accept what comes my way, manage, align, or realign, then grow stronger. Not all life force is easily converted. Discernment and decisions have to be made. What is the ROI if I invest time, energy, effort, life force in this person, place, thing? It's an OT process, and it doesn't come easy.

Lakey,

Do yourself a favour and get out of this thread, these people are not your friends and we are really not your enemies (though you may miss the nutter-like and terribly significant ramblings elsewhere).

Hey, Lakey.....the Bad Seed wants to influence you right out of your own thread. Seems like lately she has a problem with the continuation of the most powerful thread on ESMB, which you started and have continued, along with some others, as well as a problem with your continuing to post here. :whistling:

ROI. Return on investment?

I've always been strong on responsibility.

Regardless of scn, any other ism or philosophy, religion, the buck stops there.

Assuming responsibility is an "OT" area. In non scn terms is an area of
greater command of environments external and internal.

New thought for me here, is perhaps the ultimate expression of spiritual [ religious] endeavor.

Implied is a wish for others to do well.

:puke:

It really seems that the invasion that is making everyone queasy lately is somewhat stemming from you. That you have chosen Gary's thread on which to make a point to those lurking and thinking of leaving the church is ill fitting. This is one thread where those of like interest could talk amongst themselves without a smackdown. Do you really think Gary believes you are his friend and want to bring about anything furthering his best interests. This thread has seemed to need an exorcist for about a week now.

Gary will believe what he wishes to believe (and I didn't say I was his friend BTW)

Still, it's lovely to see you all reacting with such powerful spirituality.
