Re: mortgages
Broadly I agree.
The LRH def 2 of squirrelling:- " is not really different processes - it is careless, incomplete, messed up auditing procedure."
Def 1:- " it means altering Scn and offbeat practices. It is a bad thing.
I go along with these defs above.
However the def of "Squirrel" def 1:- A squirrel is doing something different. He dosn't understrand any of the principles so he makes up a bunch of them to fulfil his ignorance and voices them off on a PC and gets no place.
This last I have seen on rare occasions in the FZ.
The reports from CO$ are full of such occasions. It is IMO the
command intention from DM these days. = destruction.
No doubt many who have been trained had problems and needed correction, and maybe this was not always of a good quality or sufficient.
And then the juggernaut of CO$ may have ground them up or committed injustices. Thats a whole different issue though.
I'm not so highly tech trained but am OEC/FEBC/DSEC an interned Ned auditor and been at the forefront of the FZ for more than a decade. I've observed and learn't a lot, and communicated with and met those who are most highly trained.
So Ed, you are a self proclaimed squirrel. So I'll take you as an
example.
You have gone way out of ordinary bounds to help and rescue people
which has not been generally published. I know some of it.
" is not really different processes - it is careless, incomplete, messed up auditing procedure."
I know you have done processes which are not part of "standard tech"
but are LRH tech, and got excellent results. No cigar for squirrel IMO.
Less its a badge of honor
So going back to study tapes, LRH commented you get to know the tech
well and then you can play with it, experiment and explore. he is of course talking about one with mastery.[ paraphrazed enormously
]
Rare.
Our subject is probably the most difficult discipline in which to achieve
mastery. I recommend the movie " A Dangerous method" the story of the interaction of Freud and Jung. Who are two of the major influences on our subject. Lakey has commented earier on this film.
Scn is primarily for dummies. Different levels of dummies. And in that is a magnificent effort to give people what they need.
Freud poularized " Abreactive" therapy, and Dianetics is an extension of that. Jung was more mystical and wanted to help a person do more than view his abberations, but to become all he wanted to. he also was the first to use a an E-meter and a prepared list, and this is shown in the film and is I guess an accurate reproduction. And its a GREAT movie.
This story shows how difficult it has been to master this area.
One might say this is an excellent admin scale
Who cares what DM describes as "squirrel" or "bitter apostate"!
I know that many of our best tech terminals would by narrow viewpoints
be described as squirrel.
But they get results. Those with less wisdom, and with a competant C/S
also do.
I'll cite Trey Lotz as I was recently was audited by him. After the main
L-11 rundown he used the same tech to handle another area that had come up. He is completely fluid with tech, involved multiple L and N procedures,
all started with no comm lag whatsoever.
He also worked on what I described as "an excellent admin scale". He was there for me in the fullest extent, and also what came before.
So Ed, I like your admin scale

For those who criticize the tech, I say, be selective with who you throw stones at. (God, I wish Trouble was here) The squirrels, like me, who care more about the person, not the stat or $$$$, are really actually OK people.
The best examiner is not an F/N VGIs at the examiner. It is a person doing better in life, i.e. more love, more friends, more order, less chaos, advancing on their life path(s).
Fuck the proper (Standard Tech) program, the perfect comm cycle. Get results that help your person be themselves fully. Nothing else is of equal importance.
The best auditors were always squirrels, which is why LRH attacked Jack Horner, John McMaster, etc.
Squirrels do it better.
