Could you give a couple of examples of this. I have seen excellent movies on this theme which you espouse such as the "Odessa File" from the 1974 and the "Boys from Brazil" from 1978 but here in 2012, there are now very few ex Nazi's still alive from the war days and they are way up in years.
The ideology hasn't died even if most of the known principles have. The ideology lives on in various 'white supremacist' and other groups, on and up into the highest levels of society. Latin America is a Nazi stronghold. The Bush (Busch) family are noteable examples in the US. I'll suggest some avenues for exploration of this at the end of this post.
Right after WWII when the Cold War with the Soviet Union started, it was imperative for US nattional security that our govenment recruit and hire ex Nazi officials and scientists for our intelligence networks and our armaments and rocketry activities. Thus Werner von Braun, ex Nazi, became one of the heads of our Rocket and aerospace programs. The CIA also employed some ex Nazi bigwigs.
Scholarly estimates place the number of Nazis who were taken to the US as being between 12 and 30 thousand. That's a lot of Nazis. The relevant records are still top secret.
Werner Von Braun was an SS Major. Nobody joined the SS for any other reason than that they totally believed in Nazism, up to the point of being willing to die, or kill others, for it. Von Braun was a war criminal who was protected by the US government even though he was guilty of the crime of working slave labourers literally to death. He never spoke one word of regret about this. The same applies to other Nazi scientists who were brought to the US in Operation Paperclip - far too much information for me to present here. I am using the term Nazi here as distinct from German.
"On August 15, 1944, von Brauns wrote a letter to Albin Sawatzki, manager of the V-2 production, admitting that he personally picked labor slaves from the Buchenwald concentration camp, who, he admitted 25 years later in an interview, had been in a "pitiful shape".[not in citation given][2]"
Guy Morand, a French resistance fighter who was a prisoner in Dora, testified in 1995 that after an apparent sabotage attempt: Without even listening to my explanations, [von Braun] ordered the Meister to have me given 25 strokes...Then, judging that the strokes weren't sufficiently hard, he ordered I be flogged more vigorously...von Braun made me translate that I deserved much more, that in fact I deserved to be hanged...I would say his cruelty, of which I was personally a victim, are, I would say, an eloquent testimony to his Nazi fanaticism.[39]
Robert Cazabonne, another French prisoner, testified that von Braun stood by and watched as prisoners were hung by chains from hoists.[40] Von Braun claimed he "never saw any kind of abuse or killing" and only "heard rumors...that some prisoners had been hanged in the underground galleries".[41]

Re Nazis and the CIA. and more.
I was in Germany in 2009. There is little or no open evidence of any Nazism there now. I was walking by a soldiers' monument in Berlin with a statue of a soldier as its centerpiece. I went up to look at it and to my dismay, it was a memorial to Soviet soldiers who liberated Germany from the Nazi oppressors! So it was in all the museums and in the part of Berlin which was previously East Berlin.
That statue is known as The Statue of the Unknown Rapist to Berliners. Of course there is no open display of Nazism in Berlin - it is illegal , but I can tell you from personal experience that it is there, and growing.

The Nazi's are presented as outsiders who hijacked the German government and started a war to carry out their evil goals. The Soviets are looked at as the liberators who liberated Gemany from the Nazi's. I am sure there are still some diehard Nazi sympathizers in Germany but they have to keep a low profile.
That is utterly false. The Nazi Party was massively massively popular with the German people. People from all social, and economic groups were ardent supporters and many many remained so after the war. It's not like somebody through a switch and everyone stopped believing!
Similarly for Jews. Major Jewish museums in the major cities, i.e. 3 or 4 in Frankfurt and several in Berlin. There are several boulevards named for Jews in the big cities and the composer Felix Mendelssohn has streets named after him and statues of him in Berlin. Here in the states, not much Mendelssohn is played but in Berlin, his music is played at half the concerts.
So what? Anti-semitic attacks are on the rise everywhere.

My point is that it is unlikely that actual living
ex Nazis are running groups to assist former Nazis and promote a Nazi agenda or revival in today's world. As far as younger people now running new Nazi groups or planning for a revival of an official movement, I don't see that happening at all. There are always a few skin head, white racist types around, but they are fringe groups who don't have any power or money. Perhaps you are referring to the people on the left of the US political spectrum who are against Israel and feel it is illegally occupying Palestinian land.
What is an ex Nazi? Obviously, the original Nazis have more or less died out, but the ideology is alive and well, all over the world - in high, as well as low places.
Could you give a little more data on which groups you are referring to?
