Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

It is actually, more like a rud to get his death details out in the open. Otherwise many others think the Co$ caused his death as an OSA Op. That instills fear in them. Fear to speak out. Better to allay the fears. Let the people talk without fear of being killed by OSA.

"A rud" ? Are we auditing a group?

" to get his death details out in the open"
Before the Pilot's identity was revealed to the "Church" by his wife, he contacted me and some others and a fairly lively amount of communication was exchanged.
He caved in heavily (I think in about 2000) and the correspondence thereafter was chiefly concerned with his (partially successful) attempt to find out so to speak "what the hell was going on".

His death details would include much of that. That is a lot of material, some of which would need a trained auditor to evaluate.

When he died I got an e-mail from his girlfriend. I was in Denmark. I was getting phone auditing from Ed, told him of it, and Ed then did a gargantuan job of going down to LA, and handling the mess which he told you he found. Not least, Louise owes him an enormous amount for that heroic action, she might have ended on the streets otherwise, and really the whole of free Scientology owes him a lot for handling these things which the Pilot left behind. However, Ed and I never talked about what I know of the Pilot, and really he does not have much idea of "his death details".

From the knowledge I have my opinion is that what Ken found out with regard to SDH (Sex Drug Hypnosis) which Helen, who was one of those on this private group of Ken's, mentioned, is correct. That is my opinion, I did not say belief, and it is certainly not a certainty.

Writing on this forum, which I understand is open to anyone to look at, details of Ken's finances seems to me somewhat foolish. I do not know if the "Church" still has a home page up defiling Ken, but if they do, they have been given a basinful more of truths to put on that page.

"Otherwise many others think the Co$ caused his death as an OSA Op. That instills fear in them."

I have the opinion that the "Church" did indirectly cause his death. That is no reason for any one reading this forum to be fearful of speaking out. Ken spoke out very loudly and was a big thorn in the "Churches" flesh. They went (opinion) to extreme lengths. And Ken was foolish. I understand that he fairly often went to diskoteks alone, in search of sex. In his position that was foolish. In the turmoil at the entrance to a diskotek, someone could put a drug in a drink, which would knock him out. What staff that were there would initially be a bit nonplussed, but two people came along, assuring the staff that they were friends of the nearly unconscious Ken, that Ken suffered these attacks and they knew just how to handle it, and hustle him away to a previously hired motel room. That is abduction, and in any civilised country that is a crime. You do not take that sort of action, and risk criminal proceedings and a lot of bad publicity, unless the stakes are very high.

The private correspondence with Ken showed that he was driven very deeply into apathy. I consider him a very brave man to try and sort it all out with solo auditing, in that state of apathy. But in that state of apathy one is not wise. He did foolish things. He had this (to me) peculiar idea that sex would some how help him. He made a foolish decision to try and handle the symptoms of stomach ulcer with auditing. But he did not succumb. He struggled. And like every other Ex-Church Scientologist (perhaps except you the reader) and really like many other humans he tried to paint to others a rosier picture than was really there. And his suicide was an example of that - making it look like the "Church" had killed him.

When they have a big problem, the "Church" is very clever. They have amassed of 60 years "freeing" people, giving them a knowledge of how to trap people. They can also apply it on the correct gradient. They knew from his case folder Ken's attitude to sex, and suicide. They used it on him. But they don't bother with small fry. (I would like to indicate that I have invalidated you :-( )

So all the details leading up to his death, are not really necessary for readers here and practically impossible to give. But if I have left you with a big mystery, let me know and I'll try and sort it out, write to [email protected], or send a message to me via this board, or ask on this thread - though I do not look here very regularly, and will be away next week.

Looking back, I can see I should have told Ed of my correspondence with Ken. He knows nothing of what I tell you here. But hindsight is a fat lot of use :)

All best wishes, Ant(ony)

Re: Saying "Adios"

I have attempted to leave more than once. :p

Now this is it. I must move on.

It's been fun.

I will read along from time to time, but I have nothing further to say.

Adios for now.

:hattip:

Your post just before this announcement was particularly good, a very nice summation about C of S. I'm sorry to read that you are done posting here; it's good to know that you will still be reading along.

You posted so much incredible stuff, it is almost incomprehensible. Thank you so much for your enormous contributions!! Maybe, if some major event occurs in Scio or in the world at large, you might post some comments here again. Have a great time doing whatever it is you are going to be doing in the future!! If this was April 1st, I wouldn't believe you but it isn't and so I do.

Re: Ken Ogger, The Pilot speaks from the dead

I've always felt I didn't get enough Dianetics, even after Dianetic Clear.

I have never been able to see pictures, before, during, or after Dianetics, and what does that have to do with it anyway?

I am currently getting sessions from Heidrun Beer (details: see http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?26857-ClearBird-addresses-GPMs&p=683536#post683536 ). Some of these included Dianetics, and I am hoping for more in the future. Things like grades, objectives, and pseudo-processes like FPRD were just distractions.

Helena

FPRD was one of the most powerful processes I ran.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Would you mind clarifying what you mean by "LRH jumped loudly off the wall"?

I assumed it meant a badly-hung framed photo came crashing down. I remember that some people would refer to a representation or a quote as "LRH." Like, "what's the LRH on that?" or applauding his picture.

I remember at ITO we were carefully told not to mix Hubbard books with other authors'. They could share the same shelf if necessary, but not be interspersed with lesser volumes.

Those exact details of Ken's finances were posted here by Heidrun maybe a year ago.

It is a bit hard to tell, but I assume your comments about the cult's involvement in Ken's supposed "rape" are supposition only, based on his own beliefs in the matter, and there is no evidence beyond Ken's statements.

I place no reliance whatsoever on Ken's session "revelations." Anyone who has read SuperScio, or parts thereof, would be nuts to do so. In my opinion, of course.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Hearing about Ted's departure (or re-departure) today, :bigcry: I'm reminded of my own past attempts to leave and move on for good.

I've been there, Ted.

I'll admit I've been on the ESMB mostly as a lurker since day one . . . its opening week. I've often wondered why I keep leaving and coming back. I leave for a bit. Then can't resist. Then I return.

This was a massive personal conundrum for me, which I finally figured out today.

"I need the eggs."

Maybe that's true for many members.

Dianetics is supposed to run out engrams and engrams are mental image pictures that contain pain and unconsciousness. So....how can you run Dianetics without pictures, since Dianetics deals with mental image pictures?

Who is Ted?
Do you mean Theodore Crammer?

A little rain in his neighborhood, and he packs up his animals, two at a time, and loads them in his homemade ark. Sounds like he's heading for Mexico.

Hope he knows what to do when they say, "badges, badges! I don't got to show you no stinkin' badges"

Re: Stats re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973 Thread/Excursion/Trip/WhatHaveY

But, ignoring his '50s pronouncement to focus on Scientology not its personalities or organizations, Hubbard eventually made "it" about Him. Even if it is proven that Hubbard was, beyond any doubt, a total, criminal wacko, had he kept Himself out of the daily administration and machinations of organization, and just appeared as "Founder" and tech master, I suspect that Scientology would have faired far better than it has.

Brilliant...A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y B-R-I-L-L-A-N-T! :thumbsup::yes::clap::coolwink:

Will miss your presence here. :sadwave:

Fantastic farewell post to Ted, FoTi. Even if one doesn't like opera or classical music, Puccini's famous aria more than holds its own as a popular ballad as well! It's hard to imagine any music being more beautiful than that inspired piece. Very fitting for Ted whose writings were an inspiration to us all!!!

Re: Ken Ogger, The Pilot speaks from the dead

FPRD was one of the most powerful processes I ran.
I have this theory that the more "bad" things you have done, and that includes whole track, the more useful FPRD is to you. When I went to Flag that's what they gave me. I wanted to get a T-shirt that said "I went to flag for some auditing and all I got was stupid FPRD". The EP of this cycle was to finally leave the church (forever) and go independent.

Dianetics is supposed to run out engrams and engrams are mental image pictures that contain pain and unconsciousness. So....how can you run Dianetics without pictures, since Dianetics deals with mental image pictures?
An incident, in Dianetics, always contains a moment of shock which makes it difficult for the PC (Processing Client) to as-is. A Dianetic auditor will coax the PC through the incident, and eventually get it to discharge.

I have reduced the force of many engrams, all without pictures. You know the step where the auditor says "close your eyes"? I did, and saw nothing. So I would just open them again. With one auditor, to satisfy the technical requirements of the process, I would just blink.

Saying that auditing Dianetics requires the use of pictures is as ridiculous as saying Dianetics is "for the body". In my case, I've had a number of emotional engrams to run out, such as being dumped by a 2D whom I dearly loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life with (and no, there was no physical pain engram behind it). To quote myself,

I didn't have to listen to any nonsense about Clears not being allowed to have Dianetics, or that Clears don't have any charge and anything found must belong to a BT or Cluster instead.

In particular, I was happy to get my "second bite at the Dianetic apple" and very happy to finally be able to run emotional engrams at last (it's not all just about the body!)
