Re: Pilot's Life and Deterioration

Pilot's Life and Deterioration – 2

The Pilot committed suicide.

The previous seven years he had been in a state of misery and cave in. At one point he tried to describe it, in a document entitle “Archives of Hell”. I tried to print it out and it took 142 pages. He wrote that if he did not edit and approve it before he died, it was to be issued. At the moment I see no point in issuing it. In that period of misery and apathy he communicated to the few on his private list, telling of his thoughts and his efforts to find out what had happened. He also asked for, and received, suggestions as to what to do about it, and seemed to me rather unwilling to accept suggestions. Helena recently suggested that Excalibur would have done the trick, but I am doubtful on two points. Firstly he was very unwilling to accept any suggestion, and secondly, unless Excalibur, which I do not know, contains a lot of objective type processing I do not think it would have worked.

Excalibur is just more BT hunting, with a few more kinds of BT to hunt.

For what I realised after reading Dulloldfart's last entry on this sub-forum, was that you audit the case in front of you, not some other imagined case. And The Pilot was so caved in in all those seven years, that the only sensible action would have been objectives in some form he would accept and which was real to him. I did not realise that at the time, and I guess all of us in that little group still saw (remembered) the whizz genius who wrote Self Clearing, Super Scio, The Pilot's Reform Home Page and carried on brilliant two way comm with people via his fortnightly posts.

Some time on a very good organic wholefood diet, and some time in the gymn, would probably have done him more good than any kind of Scientology.

It is a datum I remember that the worse off a case is, the lighter the process (this stems from an understanding of the effect scale). The chappy who has just lost his mother, his fortune and his left thumb is not a person you run on the next OT level.

And the Pilot, down in apathy, was trying (and with remarkable perseverance, but it was the wrong type of action, in my opinion) to do the things he did when he was at the top of his form.

So a relevant question is still; Why did he cave in?

He broke the rules regarding the body. Consider this:

"In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended."

If you look at Heidrun's article on page 3 of International Viewpoints Number 83, page 3 (http://articles.ivymag.org/pdfs.html) you get a picture of the dramatic change in Ken.

It is also my belief that it is much easier to keep your ethics in when you are riding high, with a good income, than when you are caved in down at apathy.

All best wishes,

Ant

Too much introspection, too little health-seeking behaviour. RIP.

Suicide? I don't believe it.....

According to Heidrun Beer's write up.....

"One hint to a different explanation remains: the
analysis of his computer revealed that thousands
of files had been deleted from his harddrive,
among them the most recent version of
his Self Clearing manual..."

Why would he delete his files? Looks to me more like foul play.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

The lifestyle he was living would have killed him soon enough, with or without suicide or murder.

Re: Is this a basic?

Is this a basic?

For some time now I have felt and told people that I do not audit “standard tech”. That is partly because I do not know what version of standard tech is being talked about, there have been so many! But I do use Scientology, so to avoid being put in the category of “looney eccentrics” (AKA squirrels!) I tend to tell people that I audit with the basics. But what are they?

What are the basics of Scientology auditing? Are there many or are there few?

Those are questions that I think about fairly often.

Here is a little story.

I was around, sort of, when CCHs 1-4 were introduced. In late 1957 onwards for a while I was working in tech in HASI London (which at that time was in Fitzroy Street, a street parallel to the Northern part of Tottenham Court Road). Auditing was delivered in 25 hour intensives, which more often took place in one week, five days, but also could be two weekends, or evenings. At the beginning of each intensive the pc was given an OCA test (OCA = Oxford Capacity Analysis, almost the same as the APA which I think meant American Aptitude Analysis). This measured ten points, with scores on each from -100 to +100. The stable data for evaluating cases was that any prospective pc that had any (or all) of the first four points below 0, should be run on objectives only, until all four were above 0.*

Objectives, especially CCH 1-4 were very thoroughly covered at that time, and I was weekend HPA (profesional auditor) instructor. I listened to the tapes with the students. I sort of knew my onions.

We take a swift time switch to the early 1990s. Now I am in Denmark, disowned by the “Church”, recovered from the major severance shock, and auditing preclears privately (Just a few, as I worked full time, and was also exercising my Pubs Org propensities). Along comes a pc who is interested in Dianetics, and I give him Standard Dianetics, with rather astounding (to him, anyway) results.

He has a girl friend. One night she wakes him up, almost screaming: For her, his head has turned into the head of a wolf and she has extreme terror. On the spot he tries to run it with Dianetics, but fails. So he asks me to audit her.

I interview her, and discover she has spent much of her normal school time in a mental hospital. My “fear” of psychiatric patients has sort of keyed out, so I consider taking her on. But the stable datum on when to run only objectives is still there, as is the data on running CCH 1-4. I knew I was on a sticky wicket, but have all the data on CCHs.

We start. CCH 1 (“Give me that hand”) goes off OK. On the second command cycle of CCH 2, she is going over to the wall with me by her side, when she cries out “Oh, No!” and collapses (long before I get round to enforcing the command :) ) on the sofa. My head has become a wolf's head, and terror has turned on.

I can't remember any supporting terminals around me (rather foolish). I am alone confronting not only her “bank” in session, but also her ringing up out of session, and also the boy friend, ringing me up and trying to persuade me to run Dianetics on her.

I think it was about 15 hours later that things seemed to have settled down. Just to make sure, I run her on 7 hours, with only short breaks, of Opening Procedure by Duplication (often called Book and Bottle). She does it with out the slightest hint of my head turning into a wolf.

She still lacks a good deal of schooling, but at least she can get it without human heads turning into wolves heads associated with terror.

So, to me, objectives, well run, are a basic. And perhaps you can understand that I do not have any doubt that Scientology works.

All best wishes,

Ant

*The first four points on the OCA are (top and bottom of each):
Stable – Unstable (dispersed)
Happy – Depressed
Composed – Nervous
Personable – undependable

Ahh, Ant . . .

The good old days. It took balls to do things like what you relate here. The objectives: SCS, CCHs, OpeDupe . . did produce wondrous results.

In the old days they were really run . . . remember the dictum that on the HPA Course OpeDupe had to be run 8 hours each way as student (PC) and Auditor (coach)?

Them were the days of living lightening in session :ohmy:

Yes,

It may all be described and understood in the terms of Alan Walter's data on the "Ascension Crash and Burn" phenomena.

It's what I personally went through, experienced and have been able to handle with Alan's tech, and it is what I have seen and handled in a number of others.

But, Ant, you are quite correct that objectives would have helped . . . they mostly always are a helpful and beneficial process no matter how high the client is on his/her ascension states.

Thousands of files!!! That is not the story I got. According to what Ed (AKA CameloOrchards) told me a friend of Ed's went through the computer and when he had rescued all the available files, he was about to format the hard disk (technical note: when you delete a file, one "bit" is removed, but the rest remains there until overwritten by a new file, or the disk formatted). When he was about to format the disk there came what I call a "poltergeist action" - some sort of mystical sound or action, I forget what. The man ceased his endevour to format. Apparently, however, he had second thoughts, and intended to reformat the hard disk again. Again the "poltegeist" actions/sound. This time he looked for a "deleted" file, and found the revised version of SelfClearing. This is now available for use (there are some small changes, amongst them throughout the book the word Scientology is replaced - I have not made a detailed comparison). I now run a list concerning that book, and details and download of the later book can be found at http://lists.worldtrans.org/mailman/listinfo/selfclearing2004).

Camelo, let us have the hot dope on this, please.

I have not a clue what Ken's motive would be for deleting the book.

All the best,

Ant

Incidentally, I "believe" in suicide (in that case :) ). Kens case folders when in the "church" would show his thoughts in that direction, and the "church" would have relied on him carrying them out when pressed. That is not to say that I don't suspect that the "church" had a lot to do with his cave-in and suicide.

Re: Pilot's Life and Deterioration

In a message (below) Dulloldfart responded to a mail of mine on this “The old days – Aboard the Apollo -1973” thread. He did not answer my direct question which is probably excusable, and I will not respond directly to what he said. In considering it I felt that he made the mistake, something like that referred to in the data series as “Drop out Time”. This was excusable, I suppose, since he was not aware of a great deal of data on the Pilot, some of it not released yet.

Sorry, I thought I had answered it by what I said, by pointing out the writings of Ken that I had appreciated. And used, in the case of the 240 hours of soloing on the Self-Clearing manual.

I met Ken once, at Valerie Stansfield's 2004 July 4 party. I said hello, and got his permission to take a photograph. But that was all the contact I had with him then.

Thanks Rog.

Yes, 8 hours of Opro by Dup was necessary for being an HPA (HCA) in the later 50's and I have supervised a course full of students running Oppro by Dup a whole weekend - though I was normally Upper Indoc Instructor.

Something Roger's post has brought to mind was that in those days there was some emphasis on how far south could we reach. And it was found to be with objectives.

And the CCHs (1-4) still work. I suppose you need the know how, which is in the tapes of the time (18th ACC tapes where the course tapes when I was Instructor)

And note that the Pilot, in Self Clearing, also acknowledged the importance of objectives, encouraged people to know them so well as to fall back on them when things got difficult. I believe there is a passage where he described how he made a habit of running objectives on himself when needing them, and out of habit ran them when having a nightmare, only to have the night mare vanish, and his bedroom appear. As an "old timer" I am enthusiastic about The Pilot's SelfClearing. It is a book by someone who cared for others.

All the best,

Ant

Get More out of All Music?!! - 432 Hz

I attended a class today about 432 Hz (Hertz) music. In this type of music the middle C note vibrates at 432 vibrations per second instead of the 440 vps which has become standard.

Claims are made about 432 Hz music as being the natural vibration which should serve as the middle note of the musical scale. For example, 432 is very close to the square root of the velocity of light in a vacuum 186,282 miles per second. (The sq root of "C" is 431.6) The claim is further made that life resonates more to 432 vps than 440 vps and all tones one a scale built on 432 vps scale as well.

Here is a link to a site which describes more about 432 Hz music: http://www.echad.se/topics/935

Just listening to it subjectively, I find that 432 Hz music penetrates much deeper than 440 hz music and causes much more beneficial vibrations to occur with me. All forms of music sound more sacred and ethereal when the pitch is lowered by this amount which is a bit less than 1/2%! Also, 432 Hz music is excellent for rhythm as well. A rhythmic tune causes one to feel happiness and break into a smile at this frequency. "Pink Floyd" has made numerous recordings at 432 Hz.

I've enclosed a few of samples. One is Judy Garland's song, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (On this one, 432 Hz music doesn't really get going until 1:31 into the video:

Pulling Overts*, Importance of Balance

(From Post 32 - June 1998)

LRH EXPLAINS WHY OSA IS SO MEAN

LRH SAYS THAT IF YOU SEC CHECK* PEOPLE TOO MUCH WITHOUT
RUNNING OUT ANY MOTIVATORS, THEY WILL GET MEANER AND MEANER.

This is from an LRH tape lecture of 24 July 1952, titled
"E-meter behavior versus flow lines and patterns". This is
one of the tech 88 supplementary lectures and the transcript
can be found in new R&D volume 11. This specific quote is on
page 129.

----

Begin LRH quote.

"You can run overt act*, overt act, overt act ... Oh he just
gets meaner and meaner and meaner and meaner!

"You keep running these overt acts out and you're leaving
unexplained motivators* there. I mean, he's got motivators he's
never used. You're giving him this tremendous supply of
motivators. And, "Look at all these things that happened to me.
I can do anything I want to anybody". And he goes out and
he bawls out his boss and he bawls out this guy and that
guy and then he sees people come into the parking
intersection, he's liable to bump their bumpers and so
forth. And he's talking around mean, ornery, he gets
sarcastic.

”Boy”, you're wondering, "Is this what it's like bringing
somebody up the Tone Scale?" No, No, that's what it's like
by taking out all the overt acts a fellow has done and leave
the motivators in place: he just gets meaner and meaner.

"If you take the motivators out he gets more and more
pathetic, more and more pathetic, you see? He's got to
have more and more motivators. And when you take the overt
acts out, he gets meaner and meaner, and meaner and meaner.
He gets ornerier. He becomes capable of more overt acts.

"So you've got to have a balance there".

End of LRH quote

------

Anyone whose familiar with auditing the grades knows that
we balance the two sides in processing. You run things
that you've done and things that were done to you, back
and forth.

Even grade 2 which is aimed at overts switches off
between the two sides.

The only exception is those damn sec checks. And
that is mostly done to staff, and it is especially
done to Sea Org and OSA.

It makes them mean and nasty.

This really explains a lot.

Thank you Ron.

Best,

The Pilot

* definitions (from http://www.freezoneamerica.org/Clearbird/Clearbird2004/appendix_a/99gloss_frame.htm )

Overt:
1) Overt act; an overt is an aggressive or destructive act by the individual against one or more of the eight dynamics (self, family, group, mankind, animals or plants, mest, life or the infinite).
2) A harmful act. A bad deed. An overt act is an act of omission or commission which does the least good for the least number of dynamics or the most harm to the greatest number of dynamics.
3) An aggressive or destructive act by the individual against one or more of the eight dynamics
4) That thing which you have done to others, but you aren't willing to have happen to yourself.

Motivator:
Actions which were directed against the preclear by others or another, used by him to justify (used as a "motive" for) overts; an aggressive or destructive act received by the person.

Overt-Motivator Sequence: (O/M: Overt Motivator)
1) The reactive series of events in which someone who has committed an overt "has to" claim the existence of motivators (acts by others against self). Motivators are thus used to justify overts and tend to be used to justify further overts.
2) A chain of events of 'pay-back' or revenge that gets worse and worse.

Sec: security

Sec Check (editor/Ant's definition): Action of finding out overts a person has perpetrated.

Personally speaking as a musician, I don't think it matters much. Do you play an instrument?

Re: Get More out of All Music?!! - 432 Hz

Personally speaking as a musician, I don't think it matters much. Do you play an instrument?

I took piano lessons as a kid from ages 8 to 11 and loved it but my parents quit the lessons cold turkey. I was extremely disappointed but my Mom claimed that I was refusing to practice. Our realities were totally different. I felt that I was practicing regularly.

In Jr. high I opted for Orchestra and my parents recommended strongly that I take the French Horn. I played horn in the Jr. High Orchestra in 8th and 9th grades and then quit. In 12th grade, my friend Ken, who I'm still friends with begged me to join the high school orchestra since they were very low on personell. I joined up for the 12th grade as a horn player.

All my life, we've had a piano in our house and I played extensively for years. I have a soft touch and can play some passages okay but I really don't have much talent and make lots of mistakes - I probably play about equal to someone who has studied for 5 to 6 years. I had no interest in classical music until age 18 or 19. The stint in the High School orchestra at age 17 ignited it. My favorite first pieces were Rossini's William Tell Overture and Tchaikowski's 1812 Overture.

My daughter began piano at age 4 in 1991 and stayed with it for 14 years! We paid for the finest teachers. She has quite a bit of talent and approached concert level performances when she was really in practice. I had the pleasure of driving her around to all her lessons and performances up until she could drive at age 16. That was a wonderful period in my life.

You are a professional musician, right Smila? If you would like, please tell us some of your background, etc. I would really enjoy hearing it and assume many others on the thread would as well!!
