Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973
It's like your uncle Harry, your mom's older brother, he doesn't always have his ducks in line. Sometimes he pushes the wrong elevator button, gets off at the wrong floor, walks in the wrong apartment, and then people get all excited.
There's a joke my wife and I tell each other:
Moe and Harry are talking in the family room, while their wives are in the kitchen.
Moe tells Harry about the great restaurant he and his wife ate at the other night. "The portions were large, the waiter was quick and polite. My water glass never went empty. It was cheap wine, but delicious. I left a big tip."
Harry wants to know the name of it.
Moe says to Harry,"You know that flower with the thorns?"
Harry replies, "You mean a rose."
"Yeah.
Hey Rose! What's the name of that restaurant we ate at the other night?"
This is a matter of no consequence, but I was surprised a few days ago when Lakey scolded me quite strongly for comments that I never made!
As I say, it's of no consequence, but it rather puzzled me at the time.
Misunderstandings happen. No blame.
