The Mayo Challenge

Tubs is the creator of the cult and the dwarf is continuing to make it what it is, vent at them.

David Mayo was tek personnel in the main, and though I agree with you 100% that the tek is rubbish that in itself isn't a good reason to go after him now, he is in agreement with you (as much as he can be!).
Mayo claimed to have written NOTS and that LRH didn't.

Upon running the auditing command "feel my finger" I felt a strange sensation. The room slowly started to get brighter, and I could see the auditor struggling with the TA on the E-Meter. Suddenly the edges of the E-Meter were melting and the auditor was laughing along with me. The walls of the room completely disappeared and I was in an infinite space holding a pair of soup cans. I glugged down the soup quickly, thinking it might be my last meal ever and started to glide forward.

I quickly got bored with the infinite space thing, and was then rushing thru stars, planets, and space on an incredible journey of self-awakening. Then things started slowing down and get darker - with only stars visible - until I was completely stuck in something. I felt like I was in some kind of chair - like a racing seat, but facing the wrong way. My face was stuck. I pulled back and my face plopped out of this gelatine-like substance shaped like a ball.

My God ! I had exited the physical universe !! "That's all it is?", I thought to myself.

I was surrounded by people who were all my previous incarnations, and I then realized that I was actually Xenu, and remembered where I had stashed all the spare nukes from back in the old days. "I'm going back in" - I thought, and stuck my face back in the jello-universe-ball-thing. Everything went black.

The next thing I knew I woke up in an all-night Denny's with my face in a bowl of custard with two cops standing over me. "I'm Clear !" I shouted. "I'm O.T. - and I'm Xenu !!".

The whole room broke into applause, and the cops hauled me off to the lunatic asylum. The Examiner sat me down and said "pick up the cans .... your TA is floating. Thank you."

Then I joined this B.B.S. and started this thread.

Sound familiar?

Ill have what hes having.

Is that an excerpt of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?

1. Treat others with respect.
You are to respect every other user on the board despite any personal, religious and political differences. The following will not be tolerated:
Personal insults
Ad hominems
Threats or promotion of violence

afaceinthecrowd asked some questions....

Q,Q,Q etc.
1. A. Any personal info I will not divulge. The CoS has ways of data-profiling to narrow down identities. They will seek revenge.

2. Q. What is your agenda for ESMB?
A. I don't have an agenda for ESMB. I have one for Scientology. Gone.

3. Q. Opinions.
A. I read many opinions. Some are useful, some are not.

4. Q. Characterizations.
A. I don't know who specifically you are referring. If it's this thread then
it's obvious. Mayo, Rinder, Rathbun, Miscavige.

5. Q. Immediately Answers.
A. They can do what they like. Take as long as they like. I have no
control over that, but I can express my opinion. My anger was vented
because one of the people who directly created Scientology appeared on
this forum. That's like the drug-dealer who sold the drugs that killed your
child turning up at a therapy meeting. I got angry.

Thank you, TRNU.

I have numbered your answers and will respond accordingly.

1. Yes, that is a possibility of which I am at more risk of than you. However, I chose to divulge what I felt was sufficient “Context” re: afaceinthecrowd so as to have the latitude to post some things that I thought may be of value to me fellow ESMB Members.

2. My personal opinion is that no one comes to a Board like ESMB without some form of Agenda…even it it’s simply to ridicule or grandstand. However, I will accept your answer and, in doing so, find it non sequitur that your posts here are accordant with your sole agenda item for Scientology. Most folks here are already gone or are in the process of going.

3. I did not ask you a question re: opinions, however, thank you for your opinion of opinions.

4. I did not ask a question re characterizations, however, I will answer the question you asked me. Obviously, I’m referring to your OP and posts on this thread. If you can’t see blanket characterizations and specified ones for David Mayo, then one of us is confused somewhat in what they read and write. Also, as a former Senior Flag Exec, I am one of the folks that you say you despise as, although I don’t have a Blog, I am Journaling and writing “Op Eds” that are being linked to around the net. I never expected that and, actually, never expected I’d end up revealing as much as I have about El Ron, the SO, Flag, DM, M&M et al. It was the all the good ESMB folks that you mischaracterized in, to me, juvenile sarcasm that have encouraged me to do so.

5. There were hundreds of “Tech” folks that directly created Scn and that information is well chronicled here on ESMB and, in a number of cases, by the very individual that was the actual “source” of that part of the “Tech”. David Mayo was one of these folks, but there were many before him. Frankly, from my view, very little of the truly evil or damaging stuff came from these other “sources”, especially Mayo. L. Ron Hubbard, Jr. was the self admitted source of a fraction some of the evil stuff and he “blew the whistle” on himself and El Ron. Mayo was involved with the development of refinements and procedures in the “Tech” and not the fundamental principles or structure of “The Bridge”. From my personal experience, “Tech” folks like Mayo are not as culpable in the grand scheme of things as are ‘Admin” folks like me. I am confident that I was directly responsible for far, far more folks starting their basic courses and getting in to Scn than David Mayo ever was. One of the biggest hits—arguably the biggest—that Institutionalized Scn ever took was Mayo’s leaving, starting ACC and his legal battle.

I get it that you are angry. IMHO, your anger would be more accurately placed being leveled at me rather than David Mayo.

Peace.

Face:)

I thought that was a beautiful post, Julie. I can only say that we do what we do at the time. Sometimes we think we're doing the right thing and other times we know we're doing the wrong thing and in between we're just not sure. It is obvious that you valued the friendship, and your soft heart wanted to spare him the shame. You could have exposed him, but what would it have benefited? You all knew what was up, and you all knew you knew. I think you handled the situation with grace. Not everyone would agree with me. Some people would put more value on the inherent truth or honesty of the encounter. I really think it depends what you value most at the time. I don't think there is anything wrong with valuing the person. Perhaps it would have been kinder to confront him so he didn't have to live with the guilt, but the intention was to be merciful.

We all wonder that sort of stuff about our lives.

I for one don't blame anyone for Scientology except myself. It was destructive for me and my little kids beyond measure. I was vulnerable and gullible. But I made my own choices. Nobody put a gun to my head. There were so many bad choices I made every day. In the end there was the straw that broke the camel's back. The objection I couldn't push down any further. The final sum of the equation that my mind had been working on in the background for five years. I was a victim, but I was a willing victim, and I was also an oppressor. Somebody who spat out the catechism to 'raw meat' about Scientology being compatible with Christianity whilst remembering the staff briefing about how Jesus was a paedophile. Somebody who said you could keep your religion whilst knowing what Scientology said about 'other practices'. Somebody who sat there and said "If you buy this Dianetics book you can improve those areas of your graph" whilst knowing that reading the book would do nothing - and that even auditing would lead to a path that would cost way more than most could afford. That even if it worked - something I wasn't seeing in the 'OTs' around me - they would never have enough money to access the benefits. I told them that if they joined staff they would get up the Bridge, knowing that just didn't happen in real life. And I never really thought I was lying, yet I knew I wasn't being straight. This way of approaching 'the truth' as something that can be formed into whatever I need it to be, has caused me so much grief in my personal life really, and so much pain to those that have loved me.

Anyway, I digress. I just thought it was a lovely post that you made.

Hey Purple! I think, for whatever that might be worth, this is your best ever post!

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm willing to take up the challange a bit here.

You DID "help create the cult" David. There are lots of examples.

Here's one:

Remember the Survival Rundown? - a rehash of TRs, CCHs, Objective processes. YOU promoted this - remember? at the Hollywood Paladium - you were the Senior C/S Int and YOU gave the release event address wearing a Safari outfit! HaHa.

EXCEPT!!!!!!!!!!! I was BRAND NEW. My first ever event. And YES:duh: I went and DID that piece of shit, cult-indoctrination program.

Since leaving the Church, have you studied any critical reviews of these processes? Do you still believe in these things?

Can you challange this conclusion here?

Quote: "The TRs (Training Routines) are part of the most basic Scientology training, and are repeated to increasingly stringent standards at higher levels. They are billed as a way to improve communication skills, but their real purpose is to plant the seeds for thought control."

More here: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Secrets/TR/index.html

Let's start with that.

More to come.

P.S. I helped create the cult too. I was a registrar for 17 years.:omg:

I completely disagree with your assessment of the Survival Rundown. Certainly, it might not have been right for you. As per your statement I'd say it definitely was not right. But for others, it was very right. My staff learned to co-audit. That's a responsible position, i.e. dealing with one's own condition and helping others deal with theirs.

Seventeen years as a registrar. :omg::omg::omg:

Yeah, I was going to mention the registrar thing too.

I failed horribly as a registrar because I could not comfortably sit there and initiate all the control games necessary to take large amounts of other people's money. People who can and do THAT are VERY weird to me. They are the most INTENSE and SEVERE of KSW and HARD SELL.

To me, regges (and recruiters) display the most exgaerrated forms of Scientology lunacy.

I couldn't last more than a few years in the Sea Org, because I saw far too much IDIOCY. How can and does one stay a reg for 17 years? To me, it takes a great deal of self-denial and refusal to confront simple facts.

That job involves controlling person after person to come in and DO SERVICES. That job involves taking the money that allows Scientology to keep "doing its job" and even "expanding".

I guess that I never bought into the whole dedication thing and "we are freeing beings for all time" BS, at least not enough to succeed on a post involving taking other people's money. It seems to me that one must REALLY drink heavily of the kool-aid to stay on successfully as a recruiter or reg for the Church of Scientology.

Or maybe just like and enjoy the reg commissions (simple greed).

+++++++++++++

I may have been way out of line by asking The RealNoUser to come forward and reveal himself. I apologize. I'm trying to sort out how to deal with the situation of people with hidden agendas. This time it appears likely that his agenda was exactly as stated.

I'm going to try to clarify why I'm posting on this forum. I left Scientology well and truly many years ago. But those reading the internet might, (and some do) get a different idea. I want to clarify my position and connect with old friends.

Asking for a real name can be taken as a challenge. Hidden agendas are one thing. Posting anonymously is another. Sometimes these two things coincide.

"Ted" is my real name. I am not a hidden WHO. I choose to post as myself because I am who I am, and I am not afraid. My own policy is to disregard anonymous, discourteous posters. I am under no obligation to "audit" every pc that sits down in front of me. It is a good policy--for me.:yes::yes:

Yeah.

So you are posting from an asylum?

1975 or so. Rocky C/S'd my Power Processing.

Thanks Ted for bringing my post forward on the thread.

If it were not for disconnection, I'd post my story here and suffer the slings and arrows.

And I'm not intending to attack Mayo!

Since I've been here, there's never been anyone quite like this posting and I'm interested in his CURRENT view of the tech and processes.

So, no, Foti, I'm not going to watch some videos of his from the Santa Barbara days.

These are the types of things I'm interested in:

Has he read up on the detailed analyses of the processes and procedures of Scientology such as this one: http://carolineletkeman.org/sp/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=915&Itemid=92

Basically, what is his state of mind NOW and from the NOW viewpoint what does he think of all the wealth of information out there that (for me) demonstrates the dangerous nature of the beast.

Is it rude to ask this?

I don't thing so and I'm sure he doesn't need uninvited handlers to work me over on this thread for him. And how does anyone here know what the gag order covers? Isn't that the point of one? That you don't talk about it?

Furthermore, I received 4 CCRDs and attested to Clear 3 times.:omg: I also spent endless hours on NOTS and SOLO NOTS, valiantly exorcising space aliens. People have posted here and elsewhere that Mayo has claimed he wrote this stuff.

If so, I would like to know now that we're 30 years on, "Do you still believe in the BT and Zenu stuff?"

you came late to the party.

All parties wind down to something far less fun than when the party started.

I was invited much earlier. Didn't want to attend because it was being held in a church. Thought you people must be nuts. How I got sucked in will be told eventually. The story might help someone else.
