It would have been useful to me if I'd known the Dianetics book was full of lies. Then I wouldn't have got involved in the first place.

At the outset: what is true for you is true. It's not "true because Ron said it's true. It's "true" if it is true to your experience/life experience.

Then, after you have been in for a while and get "grooved in" then you get the big switcheroo, KSW 1.

It's all been worked out, Ron dialed it in, you are in or you are out. It's not some minor game, you are either in or you are out.

Bait and switch. Accept KSW 1 and you are caught.

Fuck that!

yah, and it would have been useful to me when I first read dianetics that I had known Hubbard, Campbell, and Dr Winter were deciding on what to call "engrams" in the very beginning. Like was it comatose, norns or engrams, and why engrams was chosen between the three, is what I am to finally find out 30 years later?

But, I know the answer, it was because engrams was chosen to make it sound scientific. But, if in the beginning for me, if I knew Hubbard originally used norns to describe a engram, I would have never read the book nor gotten involved to begin with, myself being somewhat trained in science and engineering, and wanting nothing to do with spirits or metaphysical. :melodramatic:

Bait and switch it was. :melodramatic:

Choose any two of the "Hubbard Laws" as penned by our own HellovaHoax as all you need to know about scientology. Here is one I humbly offered to mankind a while back:

HUBBARD LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS: The further you get from scientology, the less it works.

And the deeper in you get into Scientology the less "Total Freedom" you have.

Hmmm, let me try to simplify this simplistic lol.

1~ Its a fabrication by a piss-poor example of a human: A cult of misery and control.

2~ Run Away! Do not pass Go! Do not 'donate' a dime and, educate people!

When you boil it all down - there are only two things you need to know about Scientology:

The first is found in KSW #1 ( Keeping Scientology Working #1 - policy written by LRH) - "You can only be upbraided for lack of results"

The second is to simply look at the number of public in any org. If the place is packed, they are getting results. If not......

Humbly tendered as a gift to mankind...

Here is what every person who is considering becoming a Scientologist needs to know:

That when they receive auditing, every word they speak will be written down, placed in a folder, which is available for perusing, they say, by "trained" people only, but I know for a fact that others not so trained, who shouldn't be reading the contents, will read the contents of those folders, despite whatever the policy is. Years ago, I was in a course, some low level course, and some guy I didn't know came up to me, said to me "I read your auditing folder, it was very interesting".

WTF? My private thoughts I trusted Scientology with and some yahoo comes up to me and tells me he read my folder?

Yeah, that's probably off - policy, an "outness", he shouldn't have done that, but this is beside the point,
the point is this: IT HAPPENED, and as such.....

1. It can happen, will happen, and you should realize this when you become a Scientologist, your private thoughts will be available for others to read, and read by people who, in my opinion, are in no way no how qualified to read them, study them, etc.

2. And, if you say something really personal, and you later leave the church, speak out against the church, they WILL USE IT AGAINST YOU.
