This victory is Carmel's, she was the dog with the bone.
Without her determination, fighting spirit and her single mindedness this inquiry would not have happened, ever.
Well done Carmy, enjoy it.
I know all you Aussies are congratulating yourselves - and so you should - yet can I just mention one Kiwi who had a minor yet sgnificant role to play in this: Mike Ferris. His testimoney before the Senate enquiry confirmed without a doubt that a public benefit test is not detrimental to the charitable works of bona fide organisations and, further, that other, dodgy organisations have been able to disappear millions of dollars and, thus, highlight their own malfeasance. Thanks Mike - you winrar. ; )
Nah - but seriously: thank you, thank you, thank you

You rock!!

Nice of you to say it, Kev. And it's true that Carmel was the engine that got everyone moving. She'd be the first to acknowledge that she couldn't have done it alone. So, kudos to you and Scooter and James and Janette and, well, all round. In fact, the next round of drinks is on me, bartender! This victory is Carmel's, she was the dog with the bone.
