What's new

Welcome Back, Alanzo!!

I was afraid of that, and I looked into it.

Thankfully, it's not true.

That is actually a very good thing as there might have been blood between us if you had stemmed from Danish blood.

It is well known that my kin fought for Erik Segersall who conquered Denmark from Vile Sven Tveskagg. It is good to know our ancestor never met on the fields of battle. :melodramatic:

Yes, you told me that. Several times. How could I ever forget a 3-hour phone conversation?

And if it is true, you could probably claim to be more English than me! What strange times we live in.

Anyway, if you ever manage to get your lardy Yank arse over here, I will gladly buy you a pint of proper beer.

Ax

I'd love that.

We could start in the south, and harrie the countryside, avoiding a direct attack on London itself, while sucking up all the resources in the smaller pubs as we made our way north to York. Soon, we will have conquered the whole country and returned the crown to its rightful owner.

Brilliant Stanfield strategy!

Erick Segersall. He sounds familiar.

Does he play guitar?

Still trying to get my sea legs on that.

Last night's Crusade was a little rocky. It kinda sputtered and then the wheels fell off.

I'll get one to fly tho, and soon!

I'm thinking of the next Crusade being on the subject of "Progrock? or Aussie Sheep Cheese? Which do YOU prefer?"

Alanzo

Seeing as how you're asking, I'm thinking the next Crusade should be on the subject of Alanzo's Blues.
I already have the first track laid down, it's called "I Was Born In A Stoney Field".
We could throw in a couple of old covers, "Nobody Knows The Troubles I've Seen" and so forth.

Alanzo I was so happy when I saw that you were posting again. ESMB is back where it should be! I've missed you!

:happydance:

Btw I looked for Alanzo's blog recently and couldn't find it - blogspot said it had been removed and there was no trace of it when I Googled. . . did someone As-Is it?

You can share and layer tracks via internet. I like this.

TigerLilly!!

Good to see you!

The project I am working on is to put up a new blog.

This time though, and especially after last night's performance here on ESMB, I am going to hold myself up as a model for cult recovery.

I picture myself as a kind of Joan of Arc.... if she had lived I mean.

I appreciate that very much FTS.

But I don't know any more if the old Alanzo was right about anything. Especially if it scared you and made you afraid to express yourself.

But now, of course, I'm a model of Cult Recovery. So everything I do should be emulated.

And possibly packaged and sold.

Alanzo

I wasn't scared of you (except maybe a little of the giant yellow face) ...what scared me was trying to find the words in a mind suddenly gone blank after you hit one of those cognitive dissonance points. Kinda hard to describe but when unconscious concepts come up for question, that is exactly what happens. Also in 2007/8 there were some absolutely amazing writers here, including you, and I was inspired to try and express myself better, to become more articulate, and am still practicing.

I'm about talked out to be honest. I do hang around sometimes to see if I can help newbies going through what I did, pay it forward and all that. See we all create ripples we may never be aware of. Just being authentic and honest and kind is the thing that should be packaged.

ps when you labelled me a "sensitive militant" I was so pissed off ... but you are so right, it's exactly what I am! In a nice, kind way.

You might want to hit that on a gradient. Fire Walking might be your first step (pun intended).

No but he used to swing to the tunes of Hatchet and the twang of Bowstrings!

What? You had visions of a liberated scientology, attacked the Flag land base, got arrested and burned for it?

You are part of the J & D Squad, you know, and you have been missing at roll call.

Remember please that alanzo is a stat pusher.

He would rather have you post to him over the ESMB board so that he can make a quick reply and the reply would count towards his stat push.

You can always tell when alanzo feels his he is upstat because then his Ethics are not tight and he will take the time to write a long dissertation that will get us thinking and maybe even pointed in the right direction.

On top of all that alanzo is a really great guy. I thank the gods of the internet that alanzo and fluff were on beliefnet otherwise it would have almost not been worth my time posting the crazy posts there.

alanzo i welcome you back with open arms but I just have one request.

Please do not post any more pictures of the pope kissing another man on the lips

Hi Alonzo

Sooooooooooooo glad you're back!! :happydance:

Talk soon,

Tory/Magoo

Hello Tory!

Saw your most recent interview. Very nice. And it was on a show that a lot of journalists watch. Also very nice.

They really really did not understand what they were doing when they pissed you off way back when, did they?

You've probably done 100 times more media than you ever did for "RPR".

Hilarious.

Thanks for continuing to be such a nice and loving person throughout all this time.

You are an inspiration.

I understand what you mean about being talked out. This game gets old. And it has a tendency to keep a person stuck in past injustices and unpleasantness that really should be left in the past.

But it also, sometimes, can be more fun than anything else going on.

Be seeing you around....
