30 seconds was all I could stomach.

There have always been guys like this around the fringes of Sydney org but they were never accepted as culties, just used whenever nobody else would do something.

They were always a bit weird, if harmless.

I feel sorry for the poor man, especially since they seem to have burnt up his money then thrown him out yet he still worships.

Actually, that last line seems to be what happened to a lot of us before we got wiser.:omg:

In the video comments, the poster says:

"After investing thousands of dollars for course work, Alan was eventually ousted from his church and told never to return. Yet, he still believes to this day. He is a highly ethical and moral person, and totally reliable."

I really feel sorry for this guy.

Every movement he makes belies the certainty and confidence he tries to relay with his words. IMO he looks to be churned up in side and probably rarely finds moments of peace or happiness.

His physical health seems to be poor as well.

Maybe Scientolgoy did it to him, maybe he had problems all along and Scientology offered no solutions. But it is highly probable that his belief in Scientology may stop him from getting any real help, and that is a tragedy.

not really

At times when I was in, I would have spoken like that, but I was fairly unindoctrinated by the time I was on the plane to Ireland. I did find it very difficult to relate to people and to trust people for a long time after, I felt like an alien to some degree. That dissipated the more I worked and spenmt time with normal humanoids. I would almost pass for one now... :eyeroll:

I'm glad to hear it.I didn't think so. Just curious, because a couple of times now in the last eighteen months have met a couple of exscientologists who although not quite so fanatical have pretty much resembled Allen in the video. Most , however, do not, which is a huge relief.

I still have trust issues today, 40 years down the line, that stems from an inability to trust any adult from a very young age. Fortunately as time went on, I found the ability to trust again, unfortunately in the last 3 years trust issues have become something of a problem for me again.Strangely enough it is the one thing I can Thank Scientology for.

What is a normal humonoid? I'd love to meet one:eyeroll::D

Back to the OP. I met several people like this guy. It is sad but I agree that he probably would have just become obsessed about something else.

yes, I agree.

However if this man had become obsessed with catholicism for instance, chances are he may have a better chance of some kind of support system from the congregation or church workers when/if he steps further over the edge, perhaps assistance to get some psychiatric help.

Would Scientology even bother about him if he hasn't got the cash, no matter how much help he needed? Though perhaps being ignored by your religion is better than being fed chloral hydrate and vitamins amongst the cockroaches, or if old, advised to drop the body.

I've never seen a church, not only kick a member to the curb, but bad mouth them once they can no longer be used to generate income for them the way Scientology does. Rather than getting people help, Scientology disposes of them silently and without sorrow, just as L. Ron Hubbard's scripture demands of them. Scientology chews them up spits them out and then sends them a bill as they publicly disassociate with them.

Thats what I call a loving caring church. Where can I sign up?

Yes, that's why I added that it may not have been as insane as scientology. I lived in Santa Fe, NM for a few years and it seems to be a magnet for people on the fringes. Many were just like this guy in that they could still manage to survive but just barely. He looks one step away from being homeless, pushing a shopping cart down the sidewalk, and yelling to himself about body thetans.

It's sad. I wish he wasn't so into scientology so he'd go get some professional help. Scientology didn't try to actually help him. They just dumped him because he was out pr.

And he's just become another reason I hate scientology.

I don't know. Does Operating Van have more abilities than an OT? :hmm:

There is a very special BRIEFING on this confidential upper level for VIP's. Plan on lots of wins and free food! It is being catered by a famous chef named Mr. E. Sandwich.

I haven't done the level yet myself, but I can tell you with total certainty that it will make Planetary Clearing a reality!

After getting the all-day briefing I immediately felt my space expanding bigger than it has ever been. (but possibly that was from the all-you-can-eat buffet?)

He looks like a homeless guy that has just enough money to live in that hole he lives in...

He could easily he a millionaire if he wanted to, but what would the fun in that be? Humanoids like us will never understand the advanced enlightenment of an OT Homo Novus such as Alan, and why he choses to live as what would be perceived as insane to a not OT.

You know the sad thing about this is that I know a few people that are this dedicated. :duh:

Living deprived feeling they are a part of a special elite group of people with a special knowingness. :confused2:

The crazy thing is if he could only look at his own condition in life he would see this Scientology crap has not helped his survival, but Scientology has done a good job at stopping him from being able to do that.

If Scientology has the answer to all then what happened to this guy????????

The ironic thing is that he's probably done very little in Scientology due to his poverty, and therefore knows very little about the 'Bridge' is really about.

Is this guy really much different to George Bailey?

I don't think so.

Is he that much different to Tommy Davis or David Miscavige or Tom Cruise?

I don't think so.

Is he really very much different in his supercilious ignorance to most scientologists, in essence?

I don't think so.

I knew of many like this ... most of them prettied up the pompous rhetoric to make it more acceptable for public consumption, but all had a few common traits ... this one is especially sad and cringe worthy but certainly ticked the important boxes.

:whistling:

He was no more embarrassing than many other scientologist's that I have known, in fact, he was probably a lot more honest in communicating his disdain for the person that he was lecturing, the one that 'couldn't duplicate properly' ... he certainly didn't bother to 'pretty it up' ...

:faceslap:

What a lovely reminder of how great it is to be out and, to any scientologists reading this ... be careful, you are probably making an enormous tit of yourself just like Alan and George, every time you open your mouth ... perhaps it is time to wake up and just be yourself eh?

The only difference between him and other Scientologists in good standing is the cult has already suck all of the life and money out of him they possible can and he is no longer of any use to the cult thus he must be disposed of quietly and without sorrow as per Hubbard's orders.
