What happened to Corey A. McKenna.. died Oct. 31, 2011.. age 28?

I was asked to post an inquiry here if anyone had information on how Corey McKenna died in October 2011. Corey is the only child of Dennis & Joan McKenna of Loomis, CA.

There was no obituary, no memorial service, no mention can be found how Corey died at the age of 28. It's as if the parents wanted knowledge of his death to remain unknown.

I found on Ancestry, Corey Alexander McKenna, born January 6, 1983 in Sacramento, to mother Joan (Webb) McKenna & father Dennis S. McKenna.

I was shocked to see Corey Alexander McKenna on the Soc. Sec. Death Index. He was born January 6, 1983 and died on October 31, 2011.

I went back to the Emergency Management articles and he was writing frequently and competently, and suddenly in late October 2011 there were no more articles. His twitter is still open; it froze the same time. There is no obit that I can find for this Corey. It's as if his parents are pretending he is still alive.

Have you heard anything about his death?
