I was wondering how long it would take UM to comment in this thread.
For me it was the stories and the community here. I wanted to play with other exes.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'd no one at all to talk to about my Scn story. I'm locally surrounded by friends who did not have the money to amass the upsets I did while passing them up on The Bridge. They are true believers after only doing the HQS course or Student Hat, or Basic TRs.

I get it - I had no one at all to talk to either, for many many years about all this (my hubby and I left together, but it was like the subject was taboo until mid last year). For me it was a bit like "water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink". A lonely time, for a long time, despite having friends and making many new ones.

Anyway, here's to peace of mind for all of those who found/find themselves in the same predicament. I believe it's attainable, when circumstances and mindset allow one to tell it how it was/is, with no regard to anonymity - easier for some than others (especially when family still "in" or livelihood, is a concern). To be understood and to understand, is a wonderful thing.

This board is a gem - glad it's here for all, to give and take, as one can or chooses to.
