In my life I have learned the hard way that greed makes you blind…always in all ways.
Organizationally Scn—in function and practice—is an “organically” greed based system and the SO is the flower of the bush and the CMO the fruit of the loins. The SO was created to consolidate “Power” (Control) for El Ron, towards El Ron, to El Ron. The SO was created to “Flow” (Funnel) everything for El Ron, towards El Ron, to El Ron. The SO was created to “Ensure” (Enforce) the upper Bridge for El Ron, towards El Ron, to El Ron.
And, the CMO was created to extend the SO's and El Ron's "Presence" (Dominion) throughout Hisself's realm.
Greed in all its’ permutations is part of the DNA of, and rife within, Institutionalized Scn; avarice, callousness, jealousness, lying, cheating, stealing, justifying, stultifying, bullying, trivializing, coveting, aggrandizement, debasement, harassment, etc, etc, etc.
The majority of the folks I worked with on Staff and the SO were good, decent, dedicated and sincere folks and, yours truly included, quite foolish and naive.

And Thus, The FLB Begat The Era Of Gold.
Once Stateside, LRC continued to shroud Flag Crew in comic opera costumes. “United Churches of Florida” was El Ron’s PR Program to “Instantly Position and Endear” Hisself’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” to the Bible Belt locals. SO Uniforms were replaced by dress shoes, skirts, ties and clerical collars. The only problem was that LRC had no clue about the “think”, “style” and culture of Southern Christians…other than Hisself’s “knowledge” of the “Implants” they were “stuck” in. To LRC, imagery (Pictures) and slogans (Command Phrases) were everything; substance and understanding was “Dev-T” and a “Via”.
In El Ron’s Archives somewhere there are probably a dozen or so “Master Tapes” recorded and edited by Hisself that have only been heard a handful of times…mostly by “Wogs”. El Ron’s voice is not one any of the tapes but El Ron scripted, produced, directed and personally recorded the entire contents…without any “Credits”. These are the Master Tapes of “The United Churches Hour”.
The UCH was LRC’s “Bright Idea’ of how to “Control” the “Message” and instantly “Position” United Churches as a benign, benevolent and credible organization. Air time was bought from a Tampa radio station and GO PR Operatives personally contacted all the churches (hundreds) in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area and offered them a free on-site “professionally produced, directed and recorded” one hour radio program featuring their church and played several times during a week, including twice on Sunday.
Unbeknownst to never wrong El Ron that Hisself’s “PR Caper” was going straight into the teeth of the fact that most of the locals—including the major churches and religious leaders—were not quick to buy into the UC Shore Story; this was a major US metropolitan area and not a sleepy Caribbean Island or backwater Mediterranean port. LRC’s PR Program backfired and the more GO PR Operatives pushed, pressured and insisted as to UC’s credibility, the more the locals were suspicious of what UC really was, who was behind it and just what its’ intentions actually were. Due to the rising suspicions of the local religious community, the only churches that took a flyer on the UCH were obscure, quirky and tiny fringe fundamentalist groups with whacko, kooky preachers and parishioners. One can only imagine what those recording sessions were like.
El Ron failed “See the Light” and have a “Come to Jesus” moment. What LRC’s attention was on was Gold…everything Gold and more Gold. Expensive, plush and special order Hypo-allergenic gold carpet and padding was installed in Hisself’s penthouse on top of the Fort Harrison Hotel and palatial offices in the Clearwater Building…spaces that he never occupied. LRC’s livery was a gold El Dorado convertible. Pre-production had begun on the VMH and WIS books and the seeds of Golden Era Productions were planted. Flag was filling up with public for the “L” Rundowns and the Reges were selling the hell out of El Ron’s latest “Tech Breakthroughs”; the New Vitality and Case Cracker Rundowns. Mission Holders were spending big bucks at Flag on themselves and scores and scores of their Staffs. Well healed Public Scns from all over the world were flooding in. LRC launched several other projects that would rake in further cash from Hisself’s “captured” audience; the R&D Volumes Project was started and EL Ron Wrote, Recorded, Directed and Produced the silly and actually counter-productive de-PTSing device the “Can We Ever Be Friends” tape…with, of all people, Fred Hare as the “Voice”. The money was rolling in—Big Money—the likes of which El Ron had never seen. This period was the happiest I ever saw El Ron and Mary Sue.
In the midst of all LRC’s “triumphs” the PR scene was going from bad to worse to worst. Something just didn’t look right about all these new UC folks around town; they talked in a strange lingo, smoked like chimneys, cussed like sailors and a group of them (headed up by CO FB and CS 1) frequented a raunchy “Blue Movie” theater near the downtown Police Station. The locals were on to us and LRC put the cherry on top of the sundae by leave of Hisself’s penchant for having a complete, new, custom hand-tailored wardrobe 2 to 4 times a year.
And Thusly, The Era Of Gold Begat Int.
LRC’s fitting session with a local tailor took place at Hisself’s “Secret” compound in Dunedin, near Clearwater, aptly named “King Arthur’s Court”. El Ron spilled the beans to the tailor and within hours was on Hisself’s Mad Hatter ride with Kima Douglas. To those in the “Inner Circle” it had been obvious that El Ron had been “slipping” off and on (rollercoastering) for well over a year…higher than high to lower than low, up and down, backwards and forwards, inside out.
After a short while folks from Flag started disappearing “Over the Rainbow” to be with LRC. What is important about the folks that went “over the rainbow” is not who was suddenly gone...it was who was not gone.
Over the years on Flag folks came and went in the “Inner Circle”, however, as time went forward there was a “Short List” of folks that pretty well “stuck”—and even when they were “out of favor” it was only temporary. These were folks that were highly competent, very bright and savvy, had El Ron’s trust (as much as Hisself trusted anyone) and, most importantly, were very adept (as adept as one could be) at “handling” Hisself and protecting LRC from Hisself. These folks knew well how to pace, time and present—or sometimes not present—information, suggestions, advice ideas and courses of action to LRC. These folks really cared about El Ron and Mary Sue and, even more importantly, they deaply cared about Scn.
Many of these folks were either key money makers at Flag and delivery personnel or, in the case of some very important ones, either pregnant or had a pregnant spouse. Word circled around that there would be no kids allowed over the rainbow and my first hand knowledge and observation is that some of these folks ensured that they were pregnant for that very reason. Life, at that time, at Flag was sooooo much better than on the Ship, or anything else on Staff or in the SO, had ever been. There were great hopes and aspirations amongst the Crew that they were on their way to being the vanguard “Community” of the “New Civilization”. But, alas, they were at the wrong end of the rainbow.
Oh, actually there were some Children that went “Over the Rainbow”…CMO.
