Who of the 70's FCDC gang might re-Union this summer in DC?

Enough of us might "impinge" on the the die hard staffers...and the raw ones.

I lost alot for joining.

I lost three kids for leaving.

This geezer wants to MAKE IT COUNT...and see old friends...Hubbard did not see that we could reconnect...He designed that we staff would "have high affinity" (fuck it - love each other). He expected we would be isolated if we left.

If he had only read The Phenomenon of Man by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

Hubbard mught have seen the internet coming.

I think its a good idea for a reunion. I doubt Ican make it though. I suggest that it just be labelled a reunion of old FCDC staffers rather then old FCDC ex-Scientologists in order to make it friendly and get some people who would love to come but not come because they don't want to be labelled an ex-Scientologist because they have family still in, like kids in the Sea Org.
There are some people I would like to see who I know wouldn't come if it is designed or promoted as a meeting of ex-Scientologists. It's fine with me if it turns into a big bru-ha-ha between the two groups, but to get the party started and get support for it, I wouldn't use the term ex-Scientologists.

You refer to "de Chardin"--he was-singularly the most impressive "thinker" that I have ever read! Was he the one who used the "infinity" symbol to "highlight" his philosophy?
You are the first one to refer to him on esmb [as far as I know]. Holy crap--this reference bowls me over!

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it either.

While I fuck around a lot on this board, I can't escape the fact that it has helped me tremendously. I have gone clear on scientology since I found this forum in December of 2007. I can't remember why I was even looking for anything connected to scientology, since I hadn't even thought about it in ages. My sense now is that I was bored and trying to connect with old friends and that's how I stumbled onto ESMB. That goal was certainly fulfilled as I am now in touch with, 6 fellow staffers from the early 70's on a daily basis and 4 only occasionally. I think one of the daily contacts has a man crush on me. :omg:

I began posting in 2007 "very" cautiously not knowing what I was getting into. I had no idea if this ESMB really meant Ex, or WTF it was. I clearly remember being anxious about recalling and using the correct jargon or worrying if anyone would think I was invalidating/evaluating them or trying to suppress them. It surprised me that I still had those considerations (implants).

I came to realize that the Board was "generally" divided into two camps. While I am in the camp of those who now oppose everything about it, I understand that there are peeps here who genuinely believe there is something worthwhile and they have received and will continue to get benefits from the processes and training. My view on those in the "the tech works if correctly applied but the organization is evil camp" is live and let live. If they believe it helps them then who am I to say that it hasn't?

I am quite content to sit here and post when and if I think I have anything worthwhile to add. As I've said before, I don't have anything that would be useful in court but I do occasionally have something useful to say in the court of public opinion.

I remain by my computer and ready to spring into action.....

It appears that you have lost at least 100 pounds!
You look to be back in fighting shape-I bet you can see your toes now. Way to go! The discipline! The courage! The new svelte you!
 
liver issues

I think this phenonenon is related to being in the sweat program pilot...when i was on staff i weighed 110...I know wheigh 200. no pic lol

I think I must have mentioned de Chardin once or twice around here; he's relevant in so many categories. What I hadn't known till recently (well, the last 10 years or so anyway) was that Jeanne Houston had been a protege of his from childhood. She's gone on to create her own 'self-help' organization which I find less interesting, but, I got to hear a lecture by her on hypnotism back in the late '60s and was very impressed. Enough so that I bought (and, rebought recently) her book 'The Varieties of Psychedelic Experience'. Worth reading anyway.

De Chardin is also the author of one of the monologues of 'Father Merrin' on the becomming god element of spirit used in 'The Exorcist'.

I am sure you mentioned De Chardin -however I missed it.
Thanks for your comment as I enjoyed it - always warms my theatan to find others who appreciate his thoughts as I certainly benefited from being exposed to them.
Not many are familiar with him but it does not surprise me at all that you know of him-that too-warms my thetan--hey -it's getting hot.

I think the diagram "clearly " illustrates the phenomenon that TAJ so aptly describes.

I know what you look like too TAJ. Isn't it amazing that we're still this handsome?
