Thus, auditing worked for me as a means of contribution and I excelled at it.

Well I know many if not most in the FZ. Those who say they excelled
as an auditor, can be counted on two fingers. This example here is off the cuff, no special agenda, matter of fact, not boasting at all. Its one of the reasons I refer to her as " Dumb Blonde".

Not hold on their!

Me three!!! :happydance:

Wow, I think we near total agreement on this thread, gotta be a first in ESMB history, that we all know Corporate Scientology is breaking their own rules, and we wish they would get their own ethics in and REFORM THINGS!

Also agree with Purple that those sad souls locked in somebody's valence just need to should wake up and free themselves. (Glad you noticed my sig line, hope it's doing somebody some good out there.) The good news is, I think more and more are doing just that.

Many of us collectively are working on aquireing more freedom on a lot of levels (personal and group), and also about improving conditions and elevating tone on a global basis. I am an optimist. The main thing is, as Rog says, don't give up, persist and proceed!

Purple, so sorry to hear that you were also abused as so many have been, (what a brutal system!) but celebrating that you not only survived it but went on and thrived! I think the cocoon-butterfly analogy is very apt and useful for people to get a mental picture of something outside of and beyond their view of reality. I hope it helps people. I have not copyrighted it, so disseminate at will! :D Let's all flourish and prosper. It's been said that "living well is the best revenge"!

Hug your Grandson once for me, I love kids! :)

Heidrun's new thread is a success already, go check it out everybody! :D
May it be the first of many! :)

Now hold on a second there Sister, don't get to telling me what I agree with, why I'll have you know....... I coudn't resist that pun, but I agree too, so its unanimous.

LAKEY PROTEGE BRINGS DEAD LAKEY THREAD BACK TO LIFE!!
Hey S & L, I started a thread in November called Sex in the Sea Org and Scientology and it did pretty well and had 12 pages of replies and then totally died out on November 29, exactly one month ago. I checked it for 2 weeks and no one posted there and I dropped it. Today, I saw it was up to 17 pages and guess who revived the thread, it was Hbeer, Heidrun!! She replied to something funny by HELLUVA less than a week ago and the thread took off again like a rocket. They are approaching 4,000 views and 160 replies. Our old friend Gadfly is back and posting very heavily on that thread! Check it out! Way to go Heidrun!

Blue Spirit eyes wide

While not really answering directly the topic(s) Blue Spirit wanted to engage, here is the beginning of an indirect answer.

A couple of years ago, while I was on a baseball field coaching a T Ball (junior baseball) team. My baby dog was driving with my daughter down the street by the baseball field. The dog was asleep. The daughter was not aware that I was on that field. The dog woke up from a sound sleep, and looked directly over to where I was. Once past, he went back to sleep.

In the mid 60s I met a friend at a rock concert. We hadn't noticed one another before in this life time. But on this one particular day, our eyes met, and we just looked at one another for minutes before either of us talked. We've been friends ever since. After that, we found that we only lived blocks away. We would sit and look at one another for hours several days a week. We did that for a couple of years. Later, we found Scientology, and became auditors.

When I move to a new area, I explore it, and own it in a short time. When I was doing Scientology in the 60s and 70s, I knew my way around LA, both the neighborhoods the orgs were in, but also the Valley, Carvels' Ice Cream, The LA County Museum of Art, Simi Valley rock climbing, Santa Monica, Westwood, Venice, etc.

Our youngest daughter, when she was a teen, was living at the Oakwood on Barham in Toluca Lake across from Universal Studios. Her cat, one night, in the middle of the night, woke her up and kept going to the window. She looked out the window, and there in the parking lot was someone trying to break into her Explorer. She called security and they nabbed the rapscallion.

I had a course that I ran (taught would not be accurate) once. I had people look at one another silently, sharing space. When something came between the two people, one was to ask, "What happened?" "What's happening?" "What 's that?" etc. One of the students had been in the Co$ for ten years, had donated $60K, and was a grade 0 release. He thought he would never get to clear in this lifetime. He went Clear on this process. He now works at Alan's ranch as a processor (among other things)

What do all these wee tales have in common?

I couldn't resist. At least some kind of a sex life :)

There is another topic that's hot to me: smoking in SCN. You didn't answer my question on your own thread, now I'll start one myself. See you there (I hope)!

But now you have to tell me how to clone myself, because the time this is all consuming is quite a lot. Jesus, what a "speed of particle flow" on this board. Now I know where all the people are who don't post on the dreamy old Ivy list!

Rock groups David Bowie,
Rubbish. David Bowie was never a Scientologist. His only connection to it was on the tour bus during the Spiders tour when Woodmansey kept trying to disseminate to the captive audience of the band and crew and would not shut up. To this day Bowie is vehemently against it.

How to Clone? Ask Gadfly, he seems to know everything. The best I can do is recommend the movie, "The Boys from Brazil". It stars Gregory Peck and Sir Lawrence Olivier. Fifty clones are created from one arch villain in history just before that villain's death. The story proceeds from there.

What's with me, I wrote up a post and proof read it twice and did not catch the fact that I mispelled my own Screen name Lakey to Lackey. I'm the out of PT kid (present time). I mean to mispell one's own name and not notice while profreading.

What's with Carmelo's latest post, crypticlly attempting to answer Blue Spirit's questions with some mysterious story about how perceptive Dogs and Cats are when Carmelo is in the vicinity. Then I am warned not to copy the answer off of someone else's paper. I can't connect the dots. There is a thread of commonality in a lot of the situations but the one where Carmelo and a stranger just stared at one another for minutes without talking, then realized you lived near each other and became close friends doesn't fit in with the other incidents. EGADS - I THINK I HAVE THE ANSWER!

I think his opening remarks about how he familiarizes himself with an area when he first moves in are the key. In the familiarization process, he doesn't just memorize things that are already existing as ordinary people do but he makes his own copy, so to speak, of that portion of the physical universe. He does it by first familiarization with what already exists there and then by pervading the space thoroughly and establishing a degree of ownership of all the MEST and Life Forms, living in that neighborhood.

A cat is not like a dog, it does its own thing and doesn't get all excited the way a dog does when unusual people and events come into its vicinity. The cat reacting to an intruder is a big tip off. If any person or thing who was not mocked up by him when he constructed his own copy of his neighborhood, appears in his neighborhood, he is immediately alerted through his senses or the senses or one of his mock ups (a surrogate or extension of him). The intruder was not part of his created neighborhood, his cat, in this case an extension of his persona, detected a foreign life form and did what was necessary to drive it out of the neighborhood.

My guess on the neighbor is that this person had done a similar mock up to what he had done, before moving in. They both simultaneously detected foreign persona in theirr privately created mock ups of their neighborhood and each viewed the other thoroughly from every aspect and then simultaneously decided that the other fellow was okay and they each let the other guy into their space and merged the spaces. In fact, part of his initial mock up was to foresee that others might enter hisr space and he provided both for either accepting or rejecting newcommers. Carmelo's admonition to me was so that I would not just read the thread as host but that I would actually try and work out the problem.

Carmelo's goal was to show Blue Spirit how OT Powers can be developed and used in everyday living where they have actual life enhancing benefits and not just show off benefits such as being used for magic tricks. Mocking up, overseeing and making one's neighborhood a safe space is more of an OT ability than intending a door to close without physical force. one does it and normally gets no credit for it but to help Blue out, he offered this puzzle as to how true OT powers can exist and be used to make a safer world.

Lakey enters the scene with his keen insight, is stumped at first and then sees the whole scenario in about 3 flashes of brilliance. The rest is to just turn on his internal printer and start writing. Lakey doesn't have to think about what he is writing much, it just all comes out like automatic writing. If I am correct and figured this out, without being too boastful, I think that I demonstrated several OT abilities. If I am wrong, I walk away with dirt on my face. Lakey strikes again!

Ah a detractor!

Rubbish. David Bowie was never a Scientologist. His only connection to it was on the tour bus during the Spiders tour when Woodmansey kept trying to disseminate to the captive audience of the band and crew and would not shut up. To this day Bowie is vehemently against it.

I am just telling you that the band came in one day on a bus, they did some study in the course room for a significant time, a couple of hours, the next morning they studied some more and then departed. As to pracicing their music in the Centre itself, I said that happened but that memory is spotty. If there was any practice being done, the entire band did not assemble as one and perform, it was just individual musicians practicing snips of music.

As to Bowie being vehemntly against it, that doesn't prove a thing. Lou Rawls took services at the Las Vegas Celebrity Centre, primarily the comm course, and after that he spoke out vehemently against Scn. Gordon Lightfoot in Canada paid $7,000 for auditing. He either did not receive service or was told he needed to pay more so he left with a bad taste, let them keep the money and spoke against it. The actress Diana Canova was active in Scientology around 1977 and now speaks vehemently against it Look at Jason Beghe! HOW CAN NOW SPEAKING VEHEMENTLY AGAINST SCIENTOLOGY BE IN ANYWAY CONNECTED WITH THEM HAVING MADE A ONE DAY STOP AT CELEBRITY CENTRE L.A. IN THE EARLY 1970'S. THOSE ARE 2 DISRELATED FACTS!

On the contrary, if some one is vehemently against something it shows that he must have had some contact with it at some point in his life. If one just hears rumors or other people talking against something, they may decide it is no good and not practice it themselves and tell their fans not to get involved but to be VEHEMENTLY against something means that you experienced it your self and you were screwed over. You just prove my point.

Also your anectdote that Woodmansey disseminated to the band during the Spiders tour could have been their only exposure to Scn. Maybe they took a look at it at CCLA and did not like it. They drove in one day, stayed over night and left the next day. We staff were told that they were Scientologists. I didn't care, I knew they were big but I wasn't a fan and don't like that type of music. The fact that their bus pulled in and stayed over night was enough to convince me that they were in Scientology when that appears to not be the case. IF THEY WERE NEVER IN SCIENTOLOGY THEN I THANK YOU FOR CORRECTING ME. ALL I SAID IS THAT THEY VISITED THE ORG IN THEIR BUS, STAYED OVER ONE NIGHT AND LEFT IN THE MORNING. I NEVER SAID THEY WERE DIED IN THE WOOL SCIENTOLOGISTS.

There is no need say, Rubbish! Just correct the facts and add the information which you know to be true and the story will be corrected accordingly. There isn't much correction needed. They were there for a day, left never to return and later on David Bowie spoke vehementlly against Scientology. To speak vehemently against something he must have had some exposure, probably from the individual you mentioned, then took a look at it, didn't like what he saw and spoke against them vehemently from then on. Staff were told that they were in Scientology to give our spirits a lift and make it seem like we were picking up some very big Celebrities. It was a morale boosting technique and when they arrived at the Centre, it looked to me like they were in but now you have corrected the misinterpretation of events which I made.

Scientology and smoking!

Heidrun, Sorry to not have answered your question about smoking, somehow, I just missed it, it was not an intentional snub.

At my intro lecture in 1970, Seton Thomas smoked the entire time he was giving the lecture. Several people asked him why he would smoke? What was he motivation. He had a short answer, "I like it." That was it and that was very typical of Scientologists and still is.

They alway point out that they are not their body. LRH smoked his Kools heavily and he is their ultimate Opinion Leader so they figure if he did it, then they are safe doing it. Also Scientologists have less concern about their bodies than none Scientologists. If they do get cancer and lose their body, they belief that they will pick up a new one. That is about all there is to the subject of relevance that I can see.

It will be interesting to see how your thread goes. My snippet above answers the main question fully as far as I can see t but so much more can be discussed, including medical studies, the effects on life span and all sorts of stuff. I am sorry I missed the question. Maybe something in me made me block out my reading the question so that it would spur you on to starting a new thread. I did not knowingly do it but it is probably for the best.

Charisma - Pesonal Magic

Well I know many if not most in the FZ. Those who say they excelled
as an auditor, can be counted on two fingers. This example here is off the cuff, no special agenda, matter of fact, not boasting at all. Its one of the reasons I refer to her as " Dumb Blonde".

She is a star. :)

The word on the street is that all her clients adore her. Well not been her client, but a friend.

Lucky me. :)

Terril - There is a quality called "Charisma" - Many want it but few have it. Don't you agree? Some have a little of it but a few have it in abundance.

Of those I have met personally, Yvonne Jentzsch had the most! LRH undoubtedly had it. The only others I have encountered with great charisma were John F. Kennedy and to a lesser extent Robert F. Kennedy. President Clinton had some and Presidnet Obama not only has it, more than Clinton, but he is president only because he has it in my opinion.

Some of the legendary movie stars and comedians radiated it. Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Cary Grant Marilyn Monroe, Ingrid Bergman, Marlene Dietrich, Groucho Marks. In more modern times, I would go with Paul Newman and I think Johnny Carson and Oprah as well and let's not forget Jack Nicholson.

I think your "Dumb Blonde" friend has Charisma, mixed in with competence and that is a powerful combination which is not often seen.

What is your take on this, I would be interested to hear that?

I have been looking at whether charisma can be acquired or if one just has it or they don't. Certainly one can take steps to make themselves more charismatic, dress more trendy, acquire a bigger vocabulary, develop a stylish hair style and hang out with trendy people. But deeper than all that surface stuff is a mystique and a flow which is an intangible.

The only way to get it if you were not born with it is to perhaps go through some metamorphosis such as surviving a near death experience or experiencing some cataclysmic series of events and living to tell about it.

I think the flow starts at a tone level of aesthetics and goes up from there into a sort of exhillaration of being alive. One must be stylish and show a natural thriil at being alive to eminate this flow. If you have it you have it. There is not much more to be said, if you are good friends with someone who has it, you are, as you state, very lucky and probably some of their charisma has rubbed off on you. That is another characteristic of charismatic people and one extra reason why people seek them out, because some of their charisma always rubs off on their friends.

I thought I would use my 1,000th post to correct the misconceptions voiced about David Bowie recently.

First of all, it was NOT Woody Woodmansy who introduced Scn to Bowie and the band, it was MIKE GARSON, the pianist they used in NY for session work and who subsequently joined them on their Asian and UK tours, as well as playing on 3 albums.

I know this because both Mike (and his family) and Woody and his wife were staying at my house in EG. I was also introduced to Bowie and met with him on several times. In fact, I was his guest at thew final performance of "Ziggy Stardust" in London.

Both Woody and Mick Ronson, the guitarist, became interested in Scn. Bowie was ambivalent. It was at the CCLA that Mick enrolled on a basic course. His ruin was that he could not handle the women who threw themselves at him. So, when his COURSE SUPERVISOR started hitting on him, it triiggered all his losses and blew.

It was AFTER this, when Mick related the story to Bowie did Bowie become anti Scn. Woody had gotten the "bug" and was happily talking Scn up all the time. This directly led to Woody being dropped from the lineup for the next album, "Diamond Dogs". I was with Mike Garson and Bowie in the studio when they were recording this album. Bowie didn't much like the fact that Mike Garson was still in the cult, but he was needed for his piano work.:melodramatic:

Later on, I met up with Mick Ronson when he was preparing his album "Slaughter on 4th Avenue". He told me himself what had happened in LA.:duh:

The GO wanted me to try and "recover" Bowie, but he was a friend and I knew it would be a waste of time.

I trust this clarifies any misconceptions that may have arisen on this matter.

BTW, whatever happened to the original theme of this thread? :confused2:
