OK, I've listen to it again, (no I didn't) and this is what I actually think Marty was saying:

There is a core purpose to Scientology, and it is a humanitarian purpose.

He has re-discovered that core humanitarian purpose and he wants to emphasize it in his practice of Scientology.

He believes that if you accentuate the positive, Scientology can be what it was always supposed to be again.

That's what I think he said.

Then there was the book by the christian guy, and the shack that DM told him he lived in, and these things are symbols now that he wishes to forward to illustrate the above.

I see "The Shack" standing in stark contrast to the "Ideal Orgs" of DM. It symbolizes that MEST is less important than Theta, and money is not part of the purpose.

It seems fine to me.

It's just too bad that he didn't write it out beforehand, memorize and practice it, and then put it up on a teleprompter so it was more intelligible. I think, with practice, he will get better at it.

I also think that if this is his true purpose, and his true message, it is a good one. I can sincerely see how a Scientologist really does have this purpose in life.

I truly hope he succeeds at it.

So, what was he saying? What was his point? :confused2:

Amongst other things: that, from his point of view, there is truth contained in scientology that has been hidden, perverted and corrupted by a host of "priests and temples".

He used an analogy from the book, The Shack, where our hero gets his questions about Christianity answered directly by God and discovers for himself how perverted Christian teachings have become over the past 2,000 years. Marty was suggesting a parallel with the last however many years of scientology.

That seemed to me to be the main message.

I thought he tied it in rather nicely with a discussion of how his current home was labeled a "shack" (as compared to a glitzy Ideal Org) by the CofS priests who would see him dead-agented and belittled.

It made perfect sense to me but, then again, I started from the premise that this is just Marty talking.

That is pretty much what I understood also.
Although, I haven't read "The Shack" yet.

Bottom line: Marty wants to save Scientology from the evil clutches of those (i.e. DM) who are currently in charge.

Question: So, then, why does Marty want to squelch what Xenophone is doing?

He has a dog, a canoe, and many sleeveless shirts. I guess the sleeves cost extra. In any case I didn't have that much problem understanding what he was saying although it didn't make me want to join the cause. Maybe he needs a PR guy as I don't think he helped his cause with this video.

it was designed to appeal to those who have gotten rid of their minds along with their body thetans. And minds are so woggy anyway. Big beings just have space. A large one.
Whatever goes in will be gobbled up if it has *pure scientology* on the label. The responses that marty got shows that this is true. Doesn't look like many rooms will be needed in that shack to accomodate the visitors though.

Ok, here's my 2 cents, having just listened to Marty.

A) He's "introducing" all to his "Plan". (This is the start, sleeveless shirt and all).

B) As many have pointed out---he says a whole lot of nothing, except about
"The Shack"---which I believe he wanted to basically point out Scientology
has Black PR'd him, and it isn't true. The example of where he lives, prior to be even being there, with trash outside and comparing it to an "Ideal Org" IS
exactly what OSA would do to try to "Dead agent" Marty. So I *think* that was his main goal with this video...and to imply there are more coming.

Marty is anti-DM, but very much pro Hubbard (Notice those red books behind him? That's ALL written by L. Ron Hubbard). Xenophon is creating an "Inquiry" which will look into not just Davey boy, but the entire Scio-Truman show, in so many words. That would include Hubbard---and
Ol Uncle Marty doesn't want that---as he has other plans, he's going to fill
us in on, soon. <<< (my opinion, based on his statements above).

So? We'll have to see. Since I've left I've made it very clear (cough) that I am not for the "tech", however I do respect others who choose to use it.
My interest is in exposing the abuses of C of $. We'll see where he goes....
but I think it's important to listen, first. From what Carmel has posted, he does owe she and all who worked on helping the Senator an apology.

I'm happy he's making videos, as there is quite a bit he needs to clear up.

Seriously, (not) I think we got what he was saying but it did seem a bit convoluted and unnecessary.

Perhaps we have become stroppy advocates of (fully sleeved) straight speaking after all the time wasted listening to hubbard saying the same things 26 times to fill up space in his sodding lectures ... well, I know I have.
