Marthy Rathbun is a Human Being like you and me

Besides, AnonKat.. Mr.Rathbun, if he's intent to get all the current scilons out, needs all us 'haters' to rant and rumble.. It gives his cause credibility in a way.

Funny that you say that. We use to have "verzuiling" or seperation of the faiths in our country. But geuss what the Pastor, the vicker and the referent use to be meet up and discuss their flocks. Something simular has happened months ago regarding fighting the COS

He does something countering the COS, He doesn't sit quit or let himself be paid of.

Deserved or not he faces the dumpload of shit that the COS hurls toward him and his lifepartner and friends, Gets his face on TV, Wich is good than not having his fave on TV. I do not see my face on TV do you ?

He is taking the brunt of the churches PI shit like some others do now that counts for something.

omg really??

So what? Marty has dished it out - and now gets to take it - and he claims a halo for this? Apart from his claiming all kinds of stuff how do YOU know who is getting the brunt of anything? Do you actually have anything to back that up apart from Marty's blog or are you just kissing ass?

Do you know anything at all about this? From your posts it is a little hard to tell.

If you adhere that view as your own it still doesn't mean you have to demonize somebody into hell and kingdom come.
That's the usual comeback statement to anyone who points to the actual effects on people of the practice of "scientology." Burn the message; kill the messenger with innuendo about their "intolerant character," their "hatefulness" or whatever.

-------------
Definition from the online dictionary, Wiktionary:

Verb
to demonize
(US) To turn into a demon.
(US) To describe or represent as evil or diabolic
-------------

I haven't "demonized" anything or anyone. I stated facts.

Look around you.

Right here on this board are people still trying to extricate themselves from the mindfuck of the adoption and practice of "scientology," which they (not me) attribute as the reason why they thought and behaved in ways that, in retrospect, were destructive to themselves and others intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Do you not believe them?

Right here on this board are people who attest with first-hand knowledge of the devastating effects of the practice of "scientology" on their friends and family. Do you not believe them?

Look around you at people who cling to the practice of scientology; notice the condition of their intellect (particularly their critical thinking skills, but also their other "blind spots" and obvious delusions), their emotional state, their social sense.

Would you say I was "demonizing somebody into hell and kingdom come" if I pointed out that driving across a flooded street even in a Range Rover is risky? that shooting heroin is bad for your health? that even though it's "just like one of the family," keeping your 20-foot pet boa constrictor in the same room as your 2-year old child is not a good idea? that keeping the drano and other dangerous household chemicals in a low-level cabinet where babies can access them is not wise?

I don't regard people who believe in or practice "scientology" on themselves and others as demonic, evil, or diabolic (except for Hubbard and possibly a rare few of his minions).

I do believe they have been mislead, are often uninformed or misinformed, are often intellectually, emotionally, and socially "damaged," and when they have been apprised of all the information about the destructive effects of the practice of "scientology" and yet continue to promote and practice it, they are either deluded, addicted, or just plain irresponsible.

aha the strawman having failed, now the ad hom. You my want to try to change tactics AK your lack of argumentation skills is showing through.

So - what is YOUR experience with the cofs and with Marty and Mike?

For example - I know both Rathbun and Rinder - personally. I was in the SO with both of them. I know Mike better than Marty.

Apart from watching a video - have *you* even seen these two people? Or are you just getting your data from Rathbun's blog ?

Simpler: Marty fights the COS in his own way, It is better than him doing nothing.

Seriously, Marty was never just some bloke in the sea org when he was part of the church. He was one of the TOP guys.

Lets just drop the religious cloaking for a minute, this is how I see it.
Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder helped managing and enforcing a criminal organisation at the upper levels of it.

Should they not be held responsible for that? Could just anyone leave the church and that´s just fine?

I don´t care if they are nice guys on a personal level, I don´t see how they should be treated as just about anyone leaving the church, there is a hell of a difference in criminal responsibility.

I´not talking about the bloody money, who cares who got the money.

When Lisa McPhearson died at Flag, was the Wrathbunny in a position to come clean and make the insanity stop? Yes.

When the Hiver twins died in Copenhagen, were the fuck was Marty and bloody Mike?

When every bloodsucking regge destroyed the life of thousands of people, taking away their money, convinsing them the bridge would work, where were they?

At the bloody top, that´s where they were.

So they are "doing everything they can" to stop the church. Yarr. Wake me up when they are done, I feel its gonna be a long sleep.

This is not about a man fighting a big Organization and getting people out. Wether he walks into your office or not that doesn't change that.About the Abuses, There is a free zone. Alsoo It seems you want to pin everything that has gone wrong on Marty Rathbun. He is not Hitler incarnated. If you believe that you are just as far out there as the people you speak of. I my self believe that scientologist should walk the talk of science and admit that views fronm the past are being caught up by progress of science. Psychiatry was once an Icky proffesion but time and insight have changed that. That does not mean you have to blame Marty Rathbun dfor allthat goes wrong in your eyes regarding scientologists At some pouint like the Freezoners its your own responsibility. They are entitled to their own views as long as they do not break the law.

Who are you ? The thought police ?

Pinning "everything" that has gone wrong? Whattttt?

Hitler? Whatttttt?

Blame Marty for all that goes wrong? Whattttttttt?

It's your own responsibility? Whattttttttttt?

Am I the thought police? Whatttttttt? Do you even read Marty's blog? Can you answer 3 simple questions?

*** WHO LABELS EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH HIM A "HATER"?

*** WHO CENSORS POSTED COMMENTS THAT BLOW THE WHISTLE ON FRAUD AND ABUSE?

*** WHO CONDEMNS YOU AND EVERYONE ON ESMB WITH THE ORWELLIAN PROCLAMATION "NATTERBOARD?"

Marty Rathbun is Keeping Scientology Working. That is the definitive "thought police" in action.

I don't know your background or if you have ever posted it--but did you actually do auditor training, OT levels or work on staff/SO? I think I have severely mis-estimated your lack of real experience on what you are posting about.

I am not asking to agree with his belief-system.

What is his "belief system"?

As far as I can tell, he follows Hubbard's rules of keeping the "belief system" undisclosed until such time where the guilt and negativity associated with disagreeing with the "belief system" is well implanted in the individual. Kind of hard to agree or disagree with an undisclosed "belief system," isn't? I will always be suspicious of those who still want to keep it undisclosed.

You can say that of ALL the people who had contact with Lisa Mc Pherson that they could have stopped the insanity right than and right there.

Who needs merits?
I think if David Miscavige (DM for "short") ever leaves the "church" and admits some minor wrongdoings, like "having kicked some shins" or so, I will make a post similar to AnonKat's OP and ask everyone to forgive and support DM. After all, everything DM has ever done while "in" was on policy, wasn't it?

"Never fear to hurt another in a just cause." The quote might not be verbatim, but isn't that how that policy goes?

Yes be suspicious that is healthy but grant the man the fact that he is taking a stance against the COS in his own way and speaks up.

You have got to admit the Whratbunnies and Rathbums and he is a criminal are not imaginary on here.
