I next ran into Raffo at FSO. maybe 1980-81. He was doing the Eth Office dance, and being spun around by all the bullshit.

It was here that I was caused to recall the LRH HCOB on the "Technical Breakthrough of 1973" (hope my memory got the title correct here) It's the one that discusses the cause of psychosis, and reveals it to be wrong indications and the fact that they give a person an wrongly designated problem by causing the person to try and solve something that doesn't need solving and thus can't be "solved" It's also the why behind introspection.

I recalled that HCOB and referred Raffo to it. And I remember it blowing his Zorch. And I remember him restoring to his truth by its use.

Thanks Rog. This is exactly how I think of the so-called "wrong item" datum. Another of my favorite bits of tech.

It is astonishing how it tends to be ubiquitously manifested by "all & sundry" to great general confusion. A clear example: the entire SO owes its existence to this phenomenon.

I think what I now have to post is best here, here on this thread; not on the other flame-war monster.

I've been reading John Raffo's Declaration response to his Committee of Evidence informing them of his decision to not attend and participate in the charade, here: http://www.holysmoke.org/cos/docs/affidavit-john-m-rafanello.txt.

Very interesting reading, and it reminded me of some important technical issues.

I'll post the relevant parts of Raffo's Declaration, and then put the tech points.

John, in part, wrote:


What this reminded me of is the sequence of the earlier Universes just prior to the Physical Universe.

John, in this part of his Declaration is discussing his most ardent Spiritual Dreams and Aspirations . . . his raison d'etre, his most wanted want to do, be, have.

What he is revealing is the spirit, that Dream and Aspiration and raison d'etre which was at that time crushed by the church even though his action was all undertaken in support of the church.

There is a sequence in the Universes, it is the last four of them including the Physical Universe.

# 13. Your Own and Others' Valuable Creations Universe
# 14. The Killing of Spiritual Dreams and Objects Universe
# 15. The Dead Spirit Universe
# 16. The Physical Universe

It is to be observed that the CofS is killing the spirit of all it touches.

The above four Universes, of course, show a decline of game and of operating success and power. It also shows a sequence of situations and solutions.

The CofS "solution" is to kill off everything it feels is not precisely either aligned with it or which is in "its realm" but not subject to its control. It is producing and enforcing #'s 15 & 16.

And because of it, it will surely decline and lose.

LRH was who he was, he did what he did.

He caused things/perceptions. He reflected things/perceptions.

As we all do.

Your perception of LRH is not the total LRH. No one has the total perception of LRH, possibly not even LRH himself.

Having said that, I must add that your perception is a piece of you, as mine is a piece of me. If I say LRH was great, it is only per my perceptions. If I say he was an ass, it is only my perceptions. I am thus both great and an ass as my perceptions and thoughts are an extension of me.

When a being asserts, "Oh, no, I am not an ass!" it is the ass that is not viewed or admired, and the ass that persists. LRH could not admit he was ever wrong. The ass persists for our viewing pleasure.

Rather unexpectedly, I have recently spent over two hours with the being that was LRH formerly.
I have not been shy about asking him questions, not at all backoffish.

I'll write this up soon when I have time, leaving aside personal things.

The reason for this post is to tell you one item he did say to me recently:

He bluntly stated (his words) that the latter part of his LRH life was
"A FUCKING MESS".

Believe it or not, this being has reached a point of humility, and has more than once put another being's opinion above his own.

I see this as erroneous, at best incomplete, but erroneous. An SP is one who is failing to restrain himself . . . hence the disasters the SP produces.

It's the good guys that cave themselves in and who restrain themselves at the thought that they have or might harm!

Hubbard got it totally in reverse in my judgment.

This phenomena of the fact that we are basically good and ethical is that we do restrain ourselves when we think we might harm by our actions . . . . and this is the mechanism and phenomena that is used by those with evil intent who try to cave good guys in with false accusations!

John reveals this when he describes what he went through, the doubt of self, the restraint of self.

I hope many here can benefit from the lesson in all this above, either for themselves or by its use with their friends.

Judging from her eight-year run as George Bush’s Secretary of State, nobody would expect that there was a classically trained musician hiding in the fingertips of Condi Rice. She can really unleash some melodious flair on the ivories that perfectly pairs up with Aretha’s booming pipes during their duet.

Rice also performed various Mozart selections with the Orchestra before Franklin joined her on stage to perform a handful of her Motown hits. They closed their set with a rousing rendition of “My Country, Tis Of Thee.”

The pair put aside their political differences for the charity concert and even joked about their stances with Franklin saying, “We do have some things in common, but I am a Democrat forever, let me be very clear about that, alright?” and Rice responding “We’re all Americans and President Obama is my president as well.”

Yes, we decided today that all segments be on both threads!

I talked to Carmelo today by phone twice and later to Blue by phone also twice. Carmelo and I are really having some great talks, lots of theta energy and good vibes and Blue is sort of managing Magic Thetan's postings on ESMB.

Carmelo made an excellent point that TMT (The Magic Thetan) should put all installments of his story on both his own thread and our thread. Here is the think on it, the two threads tend to pull in different type of readers. Over here is where most of TMT's target audience posts. Over there in the "war zone" I would estimate that the responses to TMT are 80% to 85% negative and 15% to 20% positive but some of those 15 to 20% are newer board members who for the most part will not come here. There are two different groups being represented and TMT should reach both groups.

When Blue called me, I immediately mentioned this and he responded that he and TMT had independently come to the same conclusion that Carmelo came to and I agreed to so we quickly decided that all installments will be posted in both places.

Meanwhile, TMT started a new thread today, apologizing if he upset anybody with his first post. Look at these stats. Since TMT first posted around 8:00 PM last night, he got aver 2,300 hits in the first 24 hours and his second thread, his apology, got over 1,000 hits and we did our highest ever, about 1,300 hits. If you combine those all together, TMT racked up 4,600 hits in his first 24 hours. We probably would have received about 600 had he not posted so actually he caused 4,000 hits to occur today with his two threads plus posting here. That is a hell of a lot of action in one day on ESMB! TMT is a very hot commodity right now. Remeber, a thread receiving 250 hits in one day on ESMB is supposed to really be successful and his main thread did about 10 times that amount.

After my Suppressive person declare in Los Angeles, it took me quite a while to fully recover from the apparent loss of hundreds of loving friends who arbitrarily turned their backs on me. For years I suffered from horrible nightmares in which I was being labeled and attacked by the people and fellow Scientologists that I had helped and loved.

One only needs to contrast that with centers and missions to know where the independent people hung out.

When Peter Rundberg was declared for something, he didn't show up for work at the Santa Clara center. He was a class Vl auditor with a full line up of PCs. Phil Spickler called him and chewed him out for not showing up to audit his clients. He was back at work by noon. Declares didn't quite have as much weight to the people in the missions.

When Alan Walter was declared, one time, he stayed with friends, who had a busy center and destimulated.

When Clay Primrose was declared, I gave him a job.

When Al Ribisi blew the Sea Org, I loaned him a house.

Orgs were a lot more "on policy" Missions flew by the seat of their pants.

One of the things that has been briefly touched on by naysayers on the other threads is the apparent incongruity of your statements vis a vis the time-line of our memory of who was where doing what during the 1970's and early 1980's.

You state:

A lot of folks on ESMB have only second-hand information as to who was on post where doing what . . . for example, our info is that only SO members could be Class XII Auditors, etc.

OT-VIII was not released till rather later than, after, it appears you were declared.

Thus there appears to be incongruity. And the naysayers attempt to use this to discredit you.

Can you fill us in on the where/when of these events.

I know DartSmohen states here that he saw the OT8 materials on the Scotsman/Apollo. When/where did you have access to them?
