Well, I was completely wrong but at least I got you to reveal your true story. You weren't offering up much so that we could see where you were coming from so I gave it my best shot to piece together the scraps which you gave us. I can't believe I was so far off base, I did not expect to be that wrong but the main thing is that we all now know more about you.
I understand how this could happen. When a person's employment is in a nightclub or lounge EVERY night is like a meet and greet date night. In past posts I have mentioned my social experiences on the job. As a band member or cocktail waitress etc, employees get to meet the customers of the opposite sex for hours on end, each week, or night they come in as regulars. You can work out an entire drama without leaving the club. So possibly things sounded like I was one of the rovin kind. (Oh, I remember that song title?)

What was your reason for marrying a gay man? Do you mind revealing that? Was he able to find some way of fulfilling your sexual needs during that 17 years period. Was that marriage similar at all to a gay marriage between too lesbians? Was the marriage just an inversion of the 2nd dynamic to the 7th dynamic? You must have loved your husband very much. How did you express that love? You don't have to answer.( you silly :whistling:)
We were normal. I've known lots of men who have a propensity for other males. Many a travelling business man over 45 has become an extended stay guest for a year or more at my hotel. Sometimes the ARCX with women is too much. Sometimes what floats their boat changes...and different things now excite them. These have family and kids already. There is privacy away from home. I am your normal gal. I married him because I knew he would not hit me. I grew up with lots of physical abuse. He desperately wanted to give up the gay lifestyle. Yes, he was the best thing that ever happened to me. He did end up leaving with someone who could ring his chimes but only after my brief interlude with the ED of our Scn mission where we were both on course.

Was I at least right about the Apollo thread? You have made lots of connections here and are being rehabilitated through your participation here, right?
Yeah, you are RIGHT about that one. You hit a bingo :thumbsup:
You are a fascinating person to try and understand!
I don't even understand me. :p

JOKE (PRETTY FUNNY)

A guy asks his friend, "Do you know what we call a person who is prejudiced against Floridian Indians?" The friend says, I have no idea, what do you call such a person.

The first guy says, You call him "antiseminole" Ha, Ha! Get it? a play on the word antisemitic.

You just gotta love a guy who tells a joke like this:bow:

from Wikipedia California Gold Rush

By 1850, most of the easily accessible gold had been collected, and attention turned to extracting gold from more difficult locations. Faced with gold increasingly difficult to retrieve, Americans began to drive out foreigners to get at the most accessible gold that remained. The new California State Legislature passed a foreign miners tax of twenty dollars per month, and American prospectors began organized attacks on foreign miners, particularly Latin Americans and Chinese.[26] In addition, the huge numbers of newcomers were driving Native Americans out of their traditional hunting, fishing and food-gathering areas. To protect their homes and livelihood, some Native Americans responded by attacking the miners. This provoked counter-attacks on native villages. The Native Americans, out-gunned, were often slaughtered.[27] Those who escaped massacres were many times unable to survive without access to their food-gathering areas, and they starved to death. Novelist and poet Joaquin Miller vividly captured one such attack in his semi-autobiographical work, Life Amongst the Modocs.[28]

:) I am your normal gal.

What isn't normal?

Once you've got a bunch of auditing under your belt, you realize that, just like Dear Abby and Ann Landers must have known, it's all normal.

The full spectrum from chastity to the missionary position to golden showers to diapers to video to flashing truckers to vibrators to whips and handcuffs to, with the horse, the dog, the sheep to..............

so long as no one is getting hurt, it is OK by me

Doesn't the molten gold burn when it contacts the flesh? Diapers? Are you experiencing prostate problems? Not sure about why you need to flash your headlights at the truck drivers. Are they driving off with your horses & sheep? Is that why the dog is barking? If its because you've been whipping him you deserve to be put in handcuffs and have missionaries preach at you about chastity. :confused2:

I've seen the most incredible montage of photos taken during the gold rush in the klondike. The horses just dropped dead all over the place with no warmth or food or water. People spending everything they had on supplies. There was a 2 hour special done Ken Burns style on PBS a couple of yrs ago. I'll never forget it.

Isn't that wonderful. We get what we create, horses are so obviously a part of her personal universe the the world around her manifests it.
I've seen the ice hotel on tv for strangest places to vacation. I thought it was very very cold. But the fine Russian vodka they serve almost frozen to the guests at an ice table must give some warmth. I think there was a vault in the basement with 100 different vodkas if I remember right.

Just a Spring Chicken in her 50's!

I initially saw the words "at 21" and figured that must be you, illustrating the similarity of your space to Marlene's but then the words "at 21" were next to Marlene's picture and not yours and seemed to connect to the comments about Marlene's "no eyebrows". This threw me for a loop and I figured the picture of Marlene was taken when she was 21. Finally, I decided the picture was not just some random picture which you encountered at a garage sale but you were showing YOUR picture and not telling us it was you on purpose to see if someone would figure out it was you.

A TRIBUTE TO HATS
You were born in 1957, the year I graduated high school. You are only 53, just a kid as far as I'm concerned.

... we are here for you and have given you not just a "soul mate" but dozens of soul mates whom you can relate to. You have picked up tech, mainly from Roger which has empowered you and unstuck your case. With case resurgence and a host of new friends whom you can actually communicate your feelings and emotions to, you have returned our assistance to you in abundance and have shared your life and your incites with us and have greatly enriched our thread!

As Purple Haze pointed out, such is the Power of panel discussion groups, they can help former group mates run out the third dynamic engram. With that dynamic handled, the other dynamics start picking up as well.

Hats, many fine people have benefitted from posting here including me. In your case, however, you are special, you are an artist and a very aesthetic being, You exemplify beauty, style art, aesthetics, deep complicated emotions. You live life with a flair, a "joie de vivre" as the French say. Yes, you are very special! We are very fortunate to have you among us.
Lakey

Isn't this nice to hear, Hatty? :) One of the benefits of having older friends...

I second what Lakey has said here!

A fascinating person to understand.....

I said to Hats, "You are a fascinating person to understand." She replied, "I don't even understand myself." I feel clean and quiet after reading her story and her final comment.

There has got to be some major piece of tech encapsulated in the above last words of our interchange.

A person who is totally "in valence" and is just being oneself would have no need to understand oneself, right? The old saw is "know thyself and the truth will set you free." It does not say, know thyself and thy will understand thyself.

Those who are being themselves would not necessarity understand themselves nor not understand themselves because they are just being. To get an understanding of oneself there has to be some doing involved. One might look, think or figure figure about oneself. Hats has not done much if any of those activities about herself but has concentrated on just being herself. That's why she is fascinating, we are looking at a truth here, a static.

Even when she fleshed out her life story, she painted with a very light brush, it was done artistically and with not much emotion or dramtic impact.

It is interesting as I have connected Hats up with a musician such as Mozart or an artest such as Monet. Mozart was always just being himself. His music does not have his beingness painted all over it. Beethoven was the exact opposite. Every great piece of music after his initial training, where he emulated Mozart and Haydn, is a strong statement of his own individuality and his own power as opposed to the power of "Providence" which was trying to control him. Beethoven would have nothing of the concept of being controlled, he asserted his mastership of his own fate through the sheer power of his music.

Mozart looked at music in a different way, he would never put his own personal statement of life into his music. His music was mainly designed to be beautiful and to stir up emotions through clever patterns of sound and harmony. Both "masters of sound waves" stir up emotions, but each does it in completely different ways. For a very long period up until perhaps 1950, Beethoven was considered the greater and more profound composer. Somewhere in our time, Mozart began to be taken more seriously

Mozart used a perfect carrier wave to get his musical ideas across, the melodies are very good and tasteful but they are usually not great, with a few exceptions. It is the fabric of the music where the genius lies. Those of us who enjoy it, never tire of lsitening to it and hear something new every time which we never noticed before. I do not get this with Beethoven at all. Bach also has a great carrier wave. Beethoven creates his emotion very differently and it all carries the imprint of his personality defying Providence, in my opinion. An excellent compromise between the two is Haydn where the elememts of Mozart and Beethoven are both present.

Some artists are just skilled in the art of living. Here lie your Vivien Leighs, Ingrid Bergmans, Grace Kellys and Marelene Dietrichs, Fred Astaire would be an excellent male representative, maybe Elvis would qualify. Here is where Hats lies, living life with style and flair. My God, just look at that portrait of her! What a space she is projecting. To me, my friends, being able to project a space such as hers is art, very fine art........Lakey

Aw shucks you guys. I don't know what to say. I feel like I've been called up on Oscar night...and Lakey is handing out the annual 'beingness' awards. Oooh oooh. I know a Mark Twain quote for that. Let me go fetch.

I have been complimented many times and they always embarrass me; I always feel that they have not said enough.

(people are going to expect me to live up to all that ya know. I'm a cooked goose.) Lakey, you are a connosseur of the arts and you lavish way too much on me. I like your music appreciation tutorial. Priveleged to be the subject of your keen eye... inspection lately. Now let me go hide under my blankey.
