where I'm coming from is that money is not an automatic sign of success

being an independent thinker, creator, organizer is great, but there is nothing wrong with being a cleaning lady, who tango dances, and raises her children.

we each have our own sets of values

If i was choosing a parental figure, I'd choose Jerry Garcia or any number of posters to this thread over Donald Trump any day of the week.

Not that I know Mark Zuckerberg, but what you said about him has also been said about Steve Jobs (Apple) and Larry Ellison (Oracle).

Steve Jobs needed to be fired from Apple way back when. He isn't quite the same asshole he used to be.

Larry Ellison is an acquired taste. Whatever one says, however, he isn't shallow.

He ain't the same way because of physical/medical conditions (i.e. liver transplant and the consequences) made him back-off. We should understand this in that context.

Larry Ellison has the same personality traits that you ascribe to Mark.
(BTW, James Gosling quit Sun after the Oracle takeover. I suspect that James didn't want to work for Larry.)

Steve went from being fired at Apple to founding Next and making Pixar before returning to Apple for $1 a year. that was not physical problem related.

I'm sure Larry Ellison is not an easy person to work for.

Around here (Silicon Valley), Zuckerbrg has a rep as having stolen the ideas for facebook. The new movie about facebook isn't a glowing report.

Full Trailer For Facebook Movie ‘The Social Network’ Hits The Web

Jason Kincaid
Jul 15, 2010
The full trailer for The Social Network, the highly anticipated film written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher that retells the origins of Facebook, has just landed. Buzz for the movie has been steadily building up for the last month as the studio released teaser trailers filled with dramatic music and punchy dialog — but no footage showing the actors. This latest trailerbrings the goods, and the movie is looking pretty damn good.

The new trailer includes many of the same terse quotes we’ve been hearing in the teaser trailers — ”Is there anything that you need to tell me? — but with the footage to accompany them. As would be expected, the trailer is loaded with scenes of Jesse Eisenberg’s Zuckerberg (I especially like the last clip of him), Justin Timberlake’s Sean Parker, with appearances from the Winklevoss twins, Dustin Moskovitz, and more. The movie is slated for release October 1 2010.

This is HOT!
watch it through to the end. Two white boys remixed the news story into a rap song. It's terrific.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=civOdWxd4Kc

I don't often like rap music but this one is different. Totally delightful, rhythmic, direct from Dodson's heart and very catchy music telling a fascinating story. I hope Dodson's Sister and he cash in big time and he cuts other rap songs and that the perp is caught and brought to justice in the form of being rehabilitated. The two white boys who put this together are astute businessmen and know how to seize an opportunity and make something of it.

This is a perfect instance of cooperation and collaboration between the races in a win-win scenario.

A terminal illness makes one an illegal PC. Anyone who is terminal or who has any potential of dying at Flag, such as someone with a bad heart, or who they think might have a stroke, or who flips out is an illegal PC and is also not allowed on the base at Flag. Ever since Lisa McPherson this is the way it is. They are afraid of anyone potentially dying on any Flag property. They don't want the bad publicity or to be blamed for anyone's death if they are found dead on any of Flag's properties.

Merely being overweight makes one illegal at the "friendliest place in

Well, on the Steve Jobs firing . . . . the real problem was not Jobs but the idiot "professional manager" types and accountants that he and his partner put in charge of their company when it "matured."

Apple, like HP, and even Toyota, were technical development companies run by tech development/engineer types . . . that's what made them successful.

The moment they were put in the hands of the "trained management--numbers crunching types" the paradigm changed . . . . Jobs became unpopular with the "professional management" that took over his company because their idiotic minimizing of the company's successful action in favor of "economizing" he saw as erroneous and he conflicted with them.

Well, history shows they were idiots, and he was right. When he took back the reins of Apple, he repeated the correct and successful actions of getting back into innovative product development. He utilized the resources of Apple to develop product and expand it . . . . the professional manger idiots (the CEO that originally took over from Jobs was from Pepsico! . . . Like, ummmm, he tried to apply Pepsico principles to a tech development company . . . like the idiot accountants that took over from old man Toyoda (an engineer who built good product) who decided good product is not the way to go . . . cost cutting is the way to go: and look where that think got them:duh:

End of rant . . . .:p

No, not complete . . . . I do hate idiots! :grouch:

Major session given by phone last night!

I got a call from Carmelo last night where he gave me some more data on the "love" processes which he posted the other day. He wanted me to run the same set of commands using the opposite of love as well, for example, for me it might be "individuation" or for some "hate".

Next, Edey called me. She was driving with her friend Kadriya, who she describes as her spiritual Sister. Kadriya had huge somatics pressing on her from both her front and her back. They were driving to Edey's house, about 20 miles from my house and Edey was pressing for me to give Kadriya an entity removing type of session by telephone.

SHORT HISTORY - Kadriya is not very stable casewise. She is very concerned with her 2D. She just turned 44 this past Saturday. She has a 19 year son from an early marriage. She is quite good looking and has many admirers but has a pattern of hooking up with the the wrong type of guys and getting hurt. I gave her a session a month ago, and some entities appeared which I them out. I did not run havingness afterwards and she pulled in new entities the next day. We set up another session and I handled those and now always run havingness at the end of every session.

Last week, Edey told me that Kadriya needed another session. I told Edey that Kadriya was too unstable to run entities. If this was C of S, I would have first programmed her for lots of Objective Processing, going for long walks, walking around outside and touching trees, flowers, etc. I did not want to run entities on her until she was more stable.

Edey leaned on me to give her a session and we met at the Unitarian Universal Church which Edey and Kadriya belong to. I decided to just do some 2 way comm on Kadriya and help her on her 2D just using reasoning and getting her to look into the area and have a few cognitions. The 2 way comm session started out strong but it started to bog and she was in a loop, a sort of GPM. One part of her wanted a new 2D but the other part of her was hanging on to an intense love she had 10 years ago. This man from 10 years ago, she called "The Love of my Life".

I addressed this Lover conversationally and she said she did not want to talk about it. I didn't know what to say or do. I said, "Look Kadriya, if you want this area of your life handled, you need to confront this Lover and tell me your considerations about him. She had BI's and told me not to go there. I tried a few things and nothing worked, and she kept bringing up this other Lover. Finally, I said gently, Kadriya, we need to address your earlier lover if you want me to help you. At this point she raised her voice to me and said, "I told you not to discuss him and you mentioned him again. I don't want to listen to this crap and she started crying and bolted session and ran into the Womens' Restroom.

Just then Edey drove up. Edey went into the Womans' room and spent about a half hour there with her and finally they emerged, Kadriya looking okay again. The three of us attended a class there which they had got me to join and then Kadriya drove home. Edey told me that "I had run the session for me, the way I wanted it to go, when all sessions must be run for her, the client." She said that it was wrong to try and impose my will on her and get her to confront something she was not willing to confront. I agreed. Edey said, I told you to run the entities on her, why didn't you do that. I told Edey that entities was an advanced level and thought Kadriya needed more set ups before we ran that. Edey said that she had run the entities well twice earlier so why change course now. I just threw up my hands. I said, I made a judgement that she was too low toned to run entities and that I could just counsel her analytically. I tried my best to help her but she is really deep into her case and needs professional help. Edey informed me that Kadriya realized that I was only trying to help but she was so hurt by what I had done that she no longer will allow me to work on her. I said, fine, that okay with me. Of course, I am doing all these sessions for free.

BACK TO PRESENT TIME Last night, Kadriya was in such bad shape that Edey implored me to give her a session by phone. Edey suggested that she could deliver the commands to Kadriya and I just coach Edey on what to say and do. The 3 of us agreed to this and Edey also said that all of her spiritual advisors and Angels were in accord with this solution and they all agreed that I could do the job.

THE SESSION We first ran a large entity which was acting like a suit of armour surrounding Kadriya's torso. That entity reacted very positiviely to flows of admiration so we obliged it. It wasn't easy but we got it to leave. Under it was a cluster on her soler plexis and this had to do with preventing Kadriya from achieving love.

We began runing the leader and some ugly masses and hideous flows turned on. I could feel them in my room 20 miles away. We had Kadriya run a lot of admiration at it and then asked her what happened and she told us the admiration had caused it to lighten up a bit. I commanded Kadriya to flow love to it. Immediately my space filled with protest. I realized that Kadriya did not love this being and resented being ordered to love it. I checked with Edey and that was the exact case. I had Edey give Kadriya an "R Factor" to love the being for doing its job well and to tell her that the being is expecting to be received with hate and fear and if that happens, it will dig in deeper and not let loose. We must give it love and tell it that it is beautiful.

Edey said she would flow love to the entitiy and have her entire spiritual team do it as well and that I should do it. We all flowed love and admiration to the being for about a full minute. It started to lift. I had a cognition and told it to Edey. It was that this being had once loved deeply and had been denied that love. Edey had Kadriya check with the entity and that was true. I further realized that every being in that cluster probably had also been denied love. We had Kadriya check that as well. Once we saw that, the rest of the session was routine, some what are you's and who are you's and the leader blew and the whole cluster began to disintegrate. It took nearly a minute but all the beings in the cluster were leaving Kadriya's space and finally everything was still. We had her look for any remaining beings and they were all gone, there were no copies to deal with and we ran havingness and ended off.

Edey said Kadriya wanted to thank me and handed her the phone. She is a Christian so I told her, "God bless you!" Kadriya thanked me profusely for what I had done on her behalf and was in a state of euphoria. I told her that what we did Sunday was a belated birthday present for her Saturday birthday and told her to go out and enjoy her new abilities.

Edey came back on the phone and told me that she and Kadriya are spiritual sisters and have been biological sisters in many earlier lives and that obviously I am now part of their family. She said that from here on out, we are the Three Musketeers. Edey said that we not only freed up Kadriya's 2D flows but Edey's and my 2 D flows as well. We said our good byes and hung up.

My only concern now is whether or not Kadriya can hold her gains for any length of time or will she pull in more items to handle and have BI's again the next day.

Anyway, we ended session at around 10:30 PM and I was so keyed up that I could not get to sleep for nearly an hour and just dreamed about the session and being spiritually allied with Kadriya and Edey. At 4:45 AM I woke up about 90 minutes short of the sleep which I require so I am going back to bed now.

Wow! It's even worse than I thought.

What's the reason for that?

What do they consider overweight?

Do they weigh you coming in the door?

Ya. They weigh your bank account, credit, and other resources.

Nah, not end of rant. A wee story. I knew a lady whose husband was a manager of a store in a supermarket chain. In one store in this chain the manager left and they put a bean counter in charge. Well the bean counter looked at the profitability of the different departments and saw that the little cafe/restaurant (whatever you call it) was losing money. So he thought to close it completely and put in more shelving for product - the "core buisiness" he thought. The overall profitability of the store, far from going up, went down. The bean counter hadn't realised that a lot of his shoppers came there simply because they could get a cup of coffee while they were out - and when they couldn't any longer they took their custom elsewhere. :melodramatic:

Noting the mention of Warren Buffet... The guy is a tidy bridge player, I think he sponsors one of the major American teams, and certainly sponsors the Buffet Cup - a biannual America/Europe event similar to golf's Ryder Cup. Which loses him quite a sum of money. And he is on record saying something to the effect that he wishes he could spend more time playing bridge - of which he already plays quite a lot. So money clearly isn't his sole aim in life.

Yep . . . and there's Sir John Templeton, whose main interest in life caused him to sponsor the Templeton Foundation Award . . . which is the richest award in the world; far richer to win than the Nobel. The Templeton Award recognizes those who best demonstrate the bridge or link between science and religion (spirituality).

Oh, yes, Nick. I love my rants being being made more so!:D

Your example is a classic of the mutton-headed bean-counter screw-ups. :duh:

I have managed a few accountants who thought mighty highly of their management skills and business acumen. This leads me to the opinion that accounting types should never be in charge of an operation. They account. They figure work that has been done by others. Their opinions have value -- as accountants. When placed in charge they continue to account. That's like placing Have before Be. Creative types function at Be and Do.

Ugh!

The only thing accountants nad their ilk have ever been on the leading edge of is a disaster e.g. Robert Strange McNamara and Viet Nam.

Oh, Dear . . . .

It seems I have touched a raw nerve on the subject of accountants and the wonnabe manager types . . . . like those wonnabe manager types in the CofS . . . . I was always pissed that they should think that they should, could, ought to manage and be in charge of the actual producers and stars in the orgs . . . the auditors and Tech Div people.

All I have ever seen the admin, manager, HCO personnel type accomplish in any org is destruction of production . . . I swear to God!

Maybe this is why Terril's gang of producers and the FZ types running practices in the filed are getting the results and production they are getting . . . no bloody management types getting in the way and screwing things up!

What he said!

Oh, Dear . . . .

It seems I have touched a raw nerve on the subject of accountants and the wonnabe manager types . . . .

I think it is more symptomatic of the problem rather than indicative of the actual problem. The reality is more in line with the ubiquitous button on "self-importance".

Too many equate "being important" with "having your own way". The reality is that successful managers ENABLE & EMPOWER others to get products. To the degree others are set up, enabled, and permitted to succeed, valuable goals are attained. Where that does not occur defective products & poor morale are the result.

The button on importance is problematic because the emphasis shifts from "empowering others" to "giving orders" and "obtaining compliance". In the larger society, since so much emphasis is placed on money (i.e. accounting), those in control of the accounting (i.e. money) feel they "MUST be in charge". Unfortunately for the greater good, facility with a balance sheet does not translate into the knowledge necessary to empower & enable others towards the achievement of useful goals.
