What's new

I have a new opinion about Freezoners

if one dabbles in enough cults and/or subcultures, especially ones that are associated with licensed physicians, ivory league students--graduates, emeritus/emeritas--paramilitary, martial arts-like, or descended from the u.s. military remote viewing protocols (i surmise all the cutting edge crap is related to a black budget directly/indirectly), one would have to know that there's weird shit goin' on that can't be main stream science (yet) since the duplication is there for some but the theory isn't (i found math cults through computer hacker and code maker/breaker types too, so maybe the theory is already extent just not official). merely having the time--i.e. brains and/or money--to explore these weird issues; plust at least an equivalent of a junior-college AA education--obtained within two years--should confirm that scientology isn't all crap; that it's the mismanagement that stopped the cult from maturing. Mainstream science every once in a blue moon confirms bits and pieces of hubbard's hit & miss tech (e.g. IQ can be raised, parts of the brain that at least correlate with the neural-processing of touch are involved with learning at all times, a detoxed body...)...and as far as there being semblances of LRH tech in aristotle's works and others before LRH it seems that lrh could have stolen from other conjecture-like works to some degree but he definately figured out and/or confirmed great stuff almost from scratch--figured out superior stuff that could extend and/or surpass similar data found in older philosophies--though he tried to interpret/translate some of his discoveries from electronics-like phenomena into knowledge of therapeutic processes and failed despite the process still 'being' valid just not understood 'fully'

You seem to be short of punctuation. You can have some of mine. :)

Well, Emma, I could only get to page six before giving up in discouragement. I haven't yet found out what I am, and reading different viewpoints on ESMB helped me a lot over the last year. If I found a post a bit dumb, I could overlook it or else see that the person has that viewpoint for a reason that was valid to them.

The one viewpoint that has never been allowed on this board is the one that says, "I no longer agree with Scientology being called a religion, but I actually had gains from Scientology." Expressing gains from Scientology here brings instant punishment, so I have avoided doing that.

OSA must be laughing their heads off right now over seeing this split in the group of protesters.

I don't think this is the board any more to help me see where I want to go.

Oh, spouse saw this and recommended that I should stay on ESMB because I don't want to lose the comm lines and I can put up with the negatives in order to get the good things out of it. So I said to spouse, "That's why we stayed in F'ing Sci for so F'ing long!"

I will be sorry not to be in comm any more with RogerB and Mick Wenlock and lots of others, who definitely hold strongly different opinions than I do based on their different experiences, but I have come to love them dearly over the last fifteen months. Now I will go to my room and cry.

Bye

tried taking a breath recently?

As for Hubbard "discovering" anything - total twaddle. The "detox" predates his reading about it - have you read anything by people who were working with him at that time?

The major breakthroughs in hubbard's life and career were - writing a book of total tripe and convincing sci-fi fans that he was onto something and letting them sell his discovery. After that he went on to "monumental breakthrough" after monumental breakthrough" and getting people to pay over money while never, actually producing one damned thing.

Well except for the Free Zone of course.

Strange; I've seen exactly that position expressed here numerous times. That and every possible permutation. Without punishment; no moderator rebukes; no deletions; no suspensions or bannings etc., and *that* is the only kind of 'punishment' that deserves the term.

Reaction and rejection and unkind words? Yeah, that can happen, but, also objection and discussion and disagreement.

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but, being called stupid is just words in a row.

<snip>"I no longer agree with Scientology being called a religion, but I actually had gains from Scientology." <snip>

Actually, I have stated similarly many times--except that I do not disagree that "Scientology" can be called a religion.

I have not been "attacked" at all.

Note: the "wins" thread was one of the things I first noticed a few years ago when skimming over ESMB. I figured the place was a FZ hugbox and didn't bother with it until this last spring, when I looked at it again.

Shutting down an advertisement thread is not a bad thing. I probably would have done it quietly and without sorrow.

Oh dear Mark! Veda's going to have to figure out a new
conspiracy theory about us now.

Don't worry, he'll think it's all a ruse to allay suspicion. :coolwink:

Besides, I still love you, BB. You are a sweet guy and good-hearted person, but I do think you've been acting like a total prat AND on your own board!

One of the first thins I hated the fuck out of in the Co$ was having to write a Success Story.

I had heard of Success Stories before but this was the first I ever heard of anybody making them mandatory.

I didn't read 'em when I was in so I haven't read 'em here. Sort of thought it was odd to have that section, but, what the hey, ain't my board.

I agree with you. I was not allowed to speak at graduation on the GAT Student Hat because I challenged them and refused to write a success story.

...If you have the left the official church of Scientology, have had a chance to read all the information about Hubbard, the formation of the tech, the abuses, the history, the lies and betrayals Scientology delivers AND you have flittered around the FZ, had a chance to experience Scientology tech "outside" the official church and interacted with the key people in the Freezone and seen how these people behave and how the insanity perpetuates, and you still consider yourself a Scientologist THEN YOU ARE FUCKING STUPID.

There is no other explanation.

You are just fucking stupid. ...

yiyiyiyiyiyi!

i hear you emma...

look, i know you're amped. don't let the bastards throw you off your game.

it was doing just exactly what you were doing that pissed them off. hold the same game steady.

you probably don't have a fluent grasp of basic military tactics and might be distraught that while you have Xen down under there is no government action happening here in the US. the military tactic that keeps the casualty list short is hit on the flank and roll up the flank. Oz is the flank. US is the center line. you hold your position. there is a pot of gumbo on the fire over here sweetheart, simmering nicely.

be of good cheer. be calm. be well. have the very happiest of holidays.

:iagree:

Having been called a LOT of yuckie names over the last 10
years---here's my two cents:

A) I don't believe calling anyone "Stupid" is smart or even wise, rant or no rant. This IS a public forum, and the least people can do, imnsho, is show some respect. I admit I've violated this, too, but I'm trying to work on it.

B) It's your Opinion, you say? Ok, so be it. I am not, nor have I ever been part of the FZ, but since the first week-when someone asked me to join, I told them "no thanks" but respected their right to believe whatever they want, as long as they're not harming others.

It is the C of $ that HAS to makes sure ALL think the way they think. My love of getting out of there IS that I
*can* think and speak my mind.

C) Also, having watched Greg and Debra Barnes (in 2000 they also left, and were OT 7's speaking out). They joined the now Late Alan Walter, got some auditing, and due to now being OUT---they were able to LOOK and again make up their own minds, WITH ~~all~~ the facts.

As they said then: "If we couldn't have ever gotten auditing, we wouldn't have left Scientology". That, to me,
is one of the greatest values of the FZ. People CAN get out,
get auditing or training as they choose, continue reading,
and as long as they're not harming others, assisting in breaking up families, using Fair Game, etc---I believe that's their choice. Soon after they both decided to let it all go, and that was IT for them.

The fact that Emma doesn't want a FZ "wins" section here on her board, that I understand. It's HER board. Calling them stupid, imnsho-isn't a wise idea, for many diff reasons.

Lastly, Knowing OSA
as I do from working with them as a volunteer---they LOVE to "Divide and conquer"--that IS
a key part of their Net work. What's the real product here?
Well, Dexter is leaving. That's not so good. Who knows who else will feel the same.

Were their "Wins" Harming others? If it's a legal matter, then just say so, vs. "they're stupid". If it's a personal point of view, again, calling others names is # 2 on the OSA Net program.

It's actually # 1 and #2.
1) Distract OFF of Scientology, (their hot, top secret things people post about) onto ANYTHING else. This works, for them, I'm sure. "Get the Critics Fighting amongst each other"--it IS one of OSA's biggest distractions. Does that mean we cannot disagree? Hell no. Of course we can. However, there's a huge difference in disagreeing and calling people names. Issues---not people--are what C of $ cannot face up to.

2) Degrade any and all critics people "in" may listen to.

Whether any one here likes the FZ or not---some people "in" do listen and read what those in the FZ say, as they are the closest fruits to the tree, for some.

I suggest re-considering. As someone else said: "I didn't even know there was a FZ section". I knew it was there, but due to the title, never spend one second reading it.

The biggest sword we, out of the "church" of $cientology, have is freedom: Freedom to speak our minds, freedom to rant (as Emma did--so fair enough), and freedom for people like me to disagree. We didn't have that choice while "in", despite it being pitched constantly that we did.
Here one can SEE Freedom of speech and thought IN ACTION. It IS one of the key things that helped me wake UP.

Hope you all are enjoying the start of the Holidays!

Soliciting testimonials is specifically forbidden by the APA for their counselors. It is considered unscientific, and a true mark of pseudoscience.

You are right, VaD . . .

Terril has a good heart. He really cares about people and sincerely is into helping folks . . . . just that on occasion it feels like talking to a mobius-loop trying to exchange ideas with him. :D :melodramatic:

People might say the same re yourself. :)

I read your stuff and find it interesting. I rarely comment on it.

You should realise that saying a moderator is wrong about anything entitles you to a head on a pike, and being banned forever and to live a life of pain and in darkness for ever.

Being OT I can do that.

That'll teach you for calling me a prat!
