Pea-meal back-bacon is the cat's meaow for us canuckleheads here, and as far as eggs benny goes, not a huge fan so I cheat with Knorr's when I satisfy the troops :)

Hats and Mike, some fantastic selections!!

Thanks for posting these great musical selections, Hats and Mike! The three tenors are beyond reproach and Louis Armstrong is such an interesting man and performer. These selections are truly timeless classics. I am inspired to Google Louis to find out more about him.

Horsemen Pay Homage to The Blue Angels: Then and Now

The Horsemen have always admired the Blue Angels flight demonstration team. So when Jim, Dan, and Ed found out they were flying a show with the Blues they decided to pay homage to the Angels by replacing their normal ride of P-51 Mustangs with F-8F Bearcats. When the Blues caught wind of what was happening they suggested their solo pilots fly formation with the Bearcats. Then everyone thought it would be cool if Al Taddeo, who flew Bcats on the first Blues team, came and watched the Bearcats fly.

Big fan of planes. Can't access the video unfortunately.

The Bearcat was one of, perhaps the greatest of prop driven fighters.

On one occasion following the take off of a mustang, a bearcat following, barrel rolled around the mustang and was reprimanded. The Admiral at
this event privately congratulated the pilot. The Bearcat was a naval fighter.

Best I recall was too late for WWII

Yep. The first production Bearcats came off the line in early '45. By the time the first Bearcat squadrons were certified as combat operational the War had just ended with the Bomb. The Bearcat was designed to be the fighter plane to completely wipe out every last Japanese fighter plane...hopefully before the invasion of the Main Islands, starting with Kyushu.

Yes EP! That was well worth watching. HQ. Nice Bearcats. I never cease to be amazed at how well kept up these old planes are. I wonder if they have their original parts inside or if replica parts are made special. I saw a 1960 Jaguar last year. Convertible with wood and leather and everything in it was new. I could not believe no one had ever driven it. Then I was told they have special places to rebuild these like new. The instrument panels and leather seat tucks and knobs.

I had to look twice to see if I was not just saving clips of model planes a time or two while browsing.
