This morning I've got an appointment at USC Dental Center at 8:30 am. I am finally going to have a tooth made to fill a gap in my mouth caused by a tooth breaking off while I was eating some licorice in late 2008.
Since I will be in L.A., I am going to stay up there and head to Candy's house, in preparation for our trip to Northern California.
It is good to see Carmelo's latest article concerning creating a standard course for auditors and to also read Leon's helpful reply. The need for what Carmelo is starting is enormous.
Really, if someone wants to train up as an auditor today, where does he or she go? C or S is not a viable alternative so the person can enter into the Independent Field but what they find there can be as confusing as C of S.
Freezone tech seems to have a strong element of CBR (Captain Bill Robertson) tech in it. There is supposed to be an element of the Freezone which teaches and practices pure Hubbard but will not admit any materials into itself past a certain cut off date, ranging from 1973 to the very early 80's depending on who you talk to.
You have a few old timers still auditing such as Candy, who learned her basics on the Flagship Apollo in the 60's and early 70's. She has also studied social work at the U of Hawaii, receiving a Masters Degree from them and incorporates those teachings into her work. You have other old timers who practice some of what Candy practices but have added other rundowns such as the L's and NOTs. Some field auditors have been trained using "Golden Age", some do not want to get involved with G.A.
Then there are newer types of tech besides CBR's offshoots. Alan Walter's tech is one such popular tech, Idenics is another, and recently we received reports about PEAT and there are many others. Carmelo espouses a certain way of auditing which is results driven.
Unifying all this information into a new whole is an ambitious undertaking but one that is sorely needed!
Thanks to Hats for posting the Oprah video. That is certainly a positive endeavor which Oprah is putting her vast resources behind!
Well, probably no more posting from me until I get back on Monday, Feb 21. At that time I will have a report and pictures from the Blast From the Past seminar which Candy is going to put on in Northern California.
