Carmelo is visiting me at the moment, but seems to be unable to resist the pull of this thread. He has asked me to post these vids for him. His reason? Just 'cuz.

This post covers the closest anyone will ever get to the 100% gains and workability of the promise of Standard Tech. It is easy. Can be run solo, dual, or in group sessions. Of interest to the contributors and followers of the "Masturbation" thread, this process can be done before, during, or after wanking. Can be done in private or in public. One caveat: The faint of heart should not attempt the process in the presence of a hostile crowd or authoritarian, but if you are feeling powerful or particularly lucky, go ahead! This process can change the world.

"Ron Gutman reviews a raft of studies about smiling, and reveals some surprising results. Did you know your smile can be a predictor of how long you'll live -- and that a simple smile has a measurable effect on your overall well-being? Prepare to flex a few facial muscles as you learn more about this evolutionarily contagious behavior."

Re: World Terrorism Alert Levels by John Cleese

"World Terrorism Alert Levels" by John Cleese

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Libya and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbor" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is canceled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level. -- John Cleese - British writer, actor and tall person

When Richard was a growing boy, in Las Vegas, he and his friends used to jump the fence of the Nevada underground nuclear tests. They got a rush from the explosions. Radioactive atomic particles cause cancer.

Richard left the SO to start the Beverly Hills Playhouse with his partner, Milton Katselas. You have your dates condensed.
Richard was not Frank Sinatra's nephew, he was his first cousin...the son of Frank's uncle, bandleader Ray Sinatra....Lord Devonmont

Richard Forbes was not Frank Sinatra's nephew, rather his first cousin. Richard's dad was Ray Sinatra, Frank's uncle...former CCLA staff and public

Re: Reuben Hart -
Reuben is my brother. We have not seen each other or talked since 1984. He is very brilliant in many areas. To name a few of his areas of expertise, he is very accomplished in the following fields:

A Writer - His strongest areas are writing Children's Stories and Science Fiction stories.
A linguist - He is fluent in German and was fairly fluent in Japanese - he's lived extensively in both those countries. His Yiddish is very strong and he can get by in Spanish and French and knows words from many Eastern European languages.
A master of Dialects - You can name a county in England or a State in Germany such as Swabia or Bavaria and he can do all the dialects and knows much of their jargon and slang
An emcee and "stand up comedian" - He can tell all kinds of jokes but is probably strongest in Ethnic jokes, especially Yiddish jokes.
A Geneology Expert - He knows everything about various family trees of his own family and that of people who he is interested in.
An expert on Cruise Ships - He loves cruise ships and knows everything about them.

He has other fields of interest as well but the above fields are probably his strongest.

On the Richard Forbes matter, I believe it was he who told me that Richard was Frank Sinatra's nephew. I have repeated that line ever since the early 1970's. Maybe I am mistaking or maybe he originally told me that but has researched the matter more in the last 40 years. In any case, if he says Richard was Frank's cousin and not his nephew, you have got to go with Reuben. He is never wrong on such matters.

Of course, when Reuben left Scientology and went up to Santa Barbara to hang out at Mayo's AAC, I was still in C of S. I did not disconnect from him right away, I would never do that. However, he was doing other things to attack C of S and certain friends of mine wrote up Knowledge Reports and mentioned that I had not disconnected. Pressure was brought to bear on me from these people, the Ethics office and also my ex wife who all insisted that I break off with him. We were very close as Brothers and had even entered C of S together on the same night. It was with the greatest reluctance that I agreed to disconnect from him.

Particularly distasteful to me was that my Son was only about 1 1/2 years old and he and Reuben were forming a bond and then that bond had to be broken when the disconnection occurred in 1984. Our daughter was not born until 1987 and she never even met Reuben. It is very tragic that this occurred in our family.

Ironically, my daughter just mentioned to me about two weeks ago that she would like to get to know Reuben. I gave her the contact numbers which I gave to Hector about 6 months ago. They worked for Hector but Reuben must have changed them because they did not work for her.

When I left C of S in 2002, it occurred to me that I could now reconnect with Reuben. However, C of S was not the only issue between us which went sour. There were some family matters having to do with our Mom and Dad and some matters dealing with the family inheritance when my parents died, Mom in 1994 and Dad in 2002. Because of our disagreement regarding the family matters, I chose not to try and reconnect with Reuben. We were very deeply divided on these issues regarding our parents.

When Reuben showed up on ESMB about 3 days ago, I thought that in our old age (he is 3 years younger), it would be really nice if we could connect back up. In particular, both my children want very much to get to know him. I made a reach to do just that but he has disowned me. It is sad that this is the case but I know where he is coming from and respect his decision. I did PM him the email addresses of my kids and I hope that he will initiate communication with them. They need their Uncle and he needs what are his only Neice and Nephew. It is my fond hope that they have many years of communication where they become very close.

When i was in london org as a public after routing out of St Hill, i asked where a great tech person was/ had dissapeared to.. i was told with tone 40 spittle the person was caught masturbating on the rooftop whilst looking into the academy for stimulation..then i was told the person was shockingly indifferent and just smiled aboutthe high crime.. A) i dont believe the accusations B) i dont get pleasure or a power orgasm from publicly villifying someone C) If the individual got so much stimulation from tech students he should have been kept on D) smiling really does produce serenity in the face of seriousness E) pity Rons interpretation of experiencing Spirit of Play was a tremendous sensation of destroying people with insouciance and is emulated to this day by trained and trainee dictators.

Ill be taking your advice Ted.:biggrin::biggrin:

Yes, it is very tough! Thanks for the nice acknowledgement about this, also about smiling and about masturbation. I appreciate and salute all you comments!

Smiling is much like a magic bromide. Amazing that it is one of those "cart before the horse" type of things. If you point out to some people that they are frowning and would be better off smiling, they often reply, "There's nothing to smile about!" Of course the secret is to just smile first and by so doing, there will soon be plenty to smile about, not just for yourself but for everyone whom you come in contact with.

It is such a simple piece of "tech" but not too many people know or apply it.

This post is truly a classic. The "States of Terror Alert Levels" for various Nations are amazingly spot on! We could add in Israel who would seem to have the same two alert levels as the Scots. For many of the Arab countries, they have basically two alert states - "Blame the West" and when they really get mad, they shift over to "Kill the Wrong Target".

I feel for you Lakey. I have a brother who disconnected from me back in 1983. He's not a Scio though. He'll walk right by me in the street pretendng not to notice that I'm there. Amazing. And all over such a trivial incident.

Reminds me of someone I knew - he was the older brother to a friend of mine - and he rocked up at the younger brothers house one morning. Younger brother's wife had just mopped the front entrance area to the house and told older brother to go round to the back door come in to the house there. Well, this was SUCH AN INSULT ! ! ! That younger brother's wife should DARE to tell older brother to go to the back door to enter younger brother's house ! ! ! My God! He stomped off in a BIG HUFF and refused to have anything with younger brother again nor with any wife or child of his EVER AGAIN. EVER!

Lordy. Our upsets are so important, aren't they.

While We Await Carmelo's Report on the Bay to Breakers

Thought I'd give my friends an update on the fun and games here in NYC while we await Carmelo's report on this year's Bay to Breakers

I'm told this year the BtoB will allow full frontal nude runners, but No, repeat NO booz to be consumed en route :duh: Big change that last bit . . . nude running has always been an item in the BtoB :)

By the way, I just got back from Oz. Was visiting my old chums I grew up with at Bronte Surf Life Saving Club. They did a presentation to me at this year's Veteran's Day.

Sydney has an internationally famous BtoB there as well . . . but it's swimming. The thing is my old club is a sponsor of the Bondi to Bronte ocean swim  Folks nowadays come from all over the world some, several thousand of them, to do the swim

Me and my chums (we won some serious championships together) are thinking in terms of entering a team of 75+ year-olds  We reckon we're be a shoe-in for the 75+ team event . . . . repeat of '54, '55 in the Oz Nationals. Thing is, don't know many clubs could put together a bunch of 75+'s to do the thing . . . it's a long swim . . . and in the ocean:yes:

Problem is I'd have to shave my whiskers off . . . . bloody hard trying to breath with a mouth full of wet whiskers!

Anyhow, the fun and games in NYC.

Before the trip to Oz, Sweet Virginia and I attended a reception on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as guests of the Chairman of a company I'm a shareholder in, US Gold Corp. And a fine event it was.

Here's V and me on that famous NYX balcony doing the hammer thing they do to close each day's trading.

Re: The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973

Kudos to Roger for such an upbeat and positive post! Excellent new pictures of him and V! Amazing that 75+ year olds can still be active in athletic events. Every two days I am going to a gym where I live and am doing reps on the "curls" machine. I am curling 70 lbs with each arm, two sets of 12 reps each. I have squeezed out 8 reps with 80 lbs. That's not too shabby for a 71 year old!

Thanks to Leon for the commiserating words regarding Brothers dropping out of contact! BTW, I did get one bit of positive news regarding my brother. I have a female first cousin, age 75 (that seems to be the magic age this morning) who is living alone up in Oregon. She is still in contact with my brother and I called and told her what happened between him and me.

If you recall, I PMed my brother about 3 nights ago and gave him the email addresses of my two kids, a 23 year old daughter and 28 year old son. Well, per my cousin, Reuben's take on our communication is that he and I dropped out of touch over 25 years ago and that too much water has run under the bridge to resume communications, BUT and this is a big BUT, he told my cousin that he has emailed both of my kids, introducing himself to them.

Though I wanted both, I wanted him and my kids to make contact more than I wanted to reconnect with him so the story does have some positive results. Hopefully, they will get into communication and build up some kind of lalsting relationship between them.

Are you going to continue with your Corrections and Advances thread?

Yes  For the 3rd time . . . . yes.

Much has been happening to divert me from concentrating on getting to it . . . one of the decisions on it I have to make is on the subject of the next post. I know you and some others want a piece on the subject of fear . . . . but I'm inclined to wrap up the subject of the Games Matrix and programming one's address to to that.

Fear is its own monster subject, and I'm currently noodling on how best to introduce and convey it.

Neither of these subjects should be addressed in any half-hearted manner or with less than a well considered approach . . . hence my pause.

Also, I had a monster set of realizations and ascensions regarding spiritual operation while in Sydney, Oz. It blew my zorch . . . and this too is a subject I'd like to make available to you all, for there are some key principles I discovered that I think my friends could benefit from knowing.

Hint: it was a wild scene to be holographically permeating and duplicating my old home town in that new unit of time as compared (after 50 years absence except for a few brief visits) to how I used to exist with it . . . . typically, I found we tend to "imprint" in and with our environments as a means of spiritually orienting ourselves temporally and "spatially" . . . what I collided with on this trip was the comparative between the two different times and spatial constructs (Sydney has been massively changed since I first imprinted it).

Normally, when one continues to live in an area, one tends to "move along with the changes" . . . . but on this occasion, it was a scenario of sudden and discordant juxtaposition.

Quite an experience

More later
