Thank you for posting all the news about Darius. How kind of you to follow up to see if he was okay after knowing him and taking him out to Disneyland that day, so many years ago.

I am glad to hear that Sandy is in touch with him now. It's a great sign that the abusive disconnection policy is being relaxed at COS because of all the continued pressure from us all.

I wanted to update you on Sandy Wilhere, a tragic figure, a true testament to what happens when you are in Sea Org for 40 years !

I know she was kind to you in your darkest days in that HELL called "The RPF".

I feel on everything Hubbard wrote, issues he wrote on the RPF, Fair Game, Disconnection and the Guardian Network Orders were dark, were the very worst of what he did.

I am sure you are aware of the SLEEP DEPRIVATION Sea Org are forced to endure. They are trapped in and ENFORCED to obey draconian schedules.
One week before Miscavige held an "INT event" all of Gold base had to be up for almost a week. Some would sleep standing up ! Others would steal 2 hours here and there.

Sandy, caught up in all the SLEEP DEPRIVATION, fell asleep while driving a car
only minutes from INT BASE.

But she fell into a canyon as the care wheeled off the road.

There she lay unconscious and comatose.

Blow Drills and intense searches were in full force to find and locate her.


Finally days after laying there, she was found. She was brought bank from the brink.

Miscavige was FURIOUS. How dare a PTS + (Potential Trouble Source) create this NUISANCE !

How dare Sea Org members suffer car accidents by falling asleep while driving ! A New LAW was implemented. No Sea org member may drive without doing CAR SCHOOL. "CAR School" Sea Org Style.

But by the law of the iron fist of Miscavige, no one could drive til this check sheet was completed.

ALL CAR KEYS of anyone with CARS was confiscated by Sea Org security !

Sandy developed Multiple Sclerosis soon after the car accident. Miscavige ordered Greg to divorce her and he immediately complied.

Darius was kicked out of INT base, Sandy was sent to Los Angeles and the Wilhere family was fully torn apart.

Sandy's MS has progressively worsened. She looks 95 years old, face as lined as an aged (but still alive) ancient relic. She hobbles around as if she has a peg leg.

Loyal as they come, she had a little chat with me some 3 years ago. We were fellow Apollo crew, our lives had intertwined. I was her direct senior in
the Class XII HGC and there was lots of mutual time track.
Looking at me pleadingly with the gentlest of voices and with very high affinity, she tried to recruit me back to Sea Org.

"Karen, darling, you need to come HOME You need to be BACK where you BELONG !"

I know she did not know my own draconian set of abuses in the SO. (You can never share anything negative with the SO., Black PR it is called. Enemy Lines ! Treasonous Conduct to share anything negative. Sandy did not know.

But I looked down at the floor, avoid her eyes and her pleading.

She placed her hands her intimately on my shoulders looking into my eyes "Come back to your home, Karen" she urged.

I was silent for a moment. Thinking, to myself, how do I respond ?

Finally I spoke up.

"Sorry Sandy, I can't. I have moved on, I am sorry Sandy it won't happen."

For no reason at all I brushed the tears from my eyes as I walked out of the room.

The only good news to report is that Darius has left the cult. A beautiful Mexican girl married him. He has made it through and I found him on Facebook with his little daughter.

How absolutely beautiful that he has survived and is thriving. How could his parents abandon him and let the cult make him do so. His love for his daughter shows in your wonderful photo.

The cult thrives on the loyalty of the innocent. And then it makes them guilty.
And thrives on that. It was bad enough but I survived. I cringe to think of just how loyal I could have been.

This is so, so SAD.

I'm just speechless at the cruelty and degradation. Yes, Sandy was very kind to me. She stuck her neck out for me - bigtime - and she barely knew me. In 1987, she disrupted my endless RPF imprisonment by ordering they allow me to leave. Sandy was my personal hero for standing up against the abuses from inside. And yet she deserted Darius when he needed her most and for all these years. Cult Think perverted and overrode her natural parenting instincts. How tragic for the Wilhere family.

The question is, was Hubbard just having a "bad hair day" when he wrote these, or were they signs of a deeper problem? A deeper problem that manifested as cruelly using, abusing, and discarding people, and then lying about it.

And thanks for sharing the story of Darius.

More and more people are seeing the connection between the cruelty of Miscavige and the cruelty of Hubbard, and the cruelty institutionalized in Hubbard's Scientology and, if that cruelty - and its accompanying dishonesty - is to be purged from Scientology, then its ultimate source will have to be recognized.

Darius's name and story has come up here and there on the WEB and this made OSA and others re-think their enforcement of disconnection.

I hear back channels that Sandy has been in communication with him of late. She was given OK and permission to talk to her son Darius ! This is the kind of good product the INTERNET creates. It shames OSA into pulling up their socks and behaving with some decency~ in some cases overturning a declare in terror that the SP will befriend those on ESMB, OCMB, Marty's Blog or even WWP !

If it is true that Sandy, after years of deserting him after he was half dead and on his back in excruciating pain for one year with no mom or dad, ~~ well I am delighted, to hear Sandy might be talking to him again.

I wanted to congratulate Karen on her difference with Marty Rathbun on this. It shows that she's at least one step ahead of him in confronting Hubbard and Hubbard's Scientology.

One line from the poem states, "and thus he [Miscavige] erased your [RON's] dear Manuela from your life."

Manuela is a reference to Manuela Saenz, Simon Bolivar's confidant and sweetheart.

It's amazing that Marty is still promoting the idea that it was Miscavige, and not Hubbard, who decided to "erase" Mary Sue Hubbard from L. Ron Hubbard's life.

Equally amazing that Rathbun likens Mary Sue to Manuela and, by implication, Hubbard to Simon Bolivar.

For many years one could visibly see the RPFers on the streets around Big Blue. Dressed in black, they would be digging the dirt. They were introverted, they looked down at the ground and they looked battered.

It was only a short time before I demanded to leave the Sea Org that this incident occurred.

It was a black and dark incident. The whole base crew were summoned to the main hall. It was MANDATORY. These Mandatory enforced "whole base" meetings were always full of more THUGGERY more enforced REALITY.

Times were hard in the Sea Org in Los Angeles...it was around 1990 when all within was still very secretive and Internet blogs and message boards did not exist. Here and there a BBS.

Here's some the newer rules implemented::::

++++All Annual Leaves cancelled. No more 3 weeks a year Annual Leave
++++A day off every 2 weeks if you statistic and production was Up was also cancelled. No more days off
++++Pay was down to 1/4 pay or 1/2 pay. Some weeks $5 some weeks $10 for 60 to 80 hour weeks !
++++All family time cancelled. For those that had children under 5 years old like I did, this was rough. No longer permitted to spend 1 hour a day with the children.

Less and Less privileges, longer and longer hours, more and more discipline, it was spinning out of Control into a true CULT.

This last rule actually caused an EXODUS. Many requests to leave did occur. Those that had family could leave and join family. But there is many a Sea Org member that has NO family. And you can hardly save up to have nest egg to live on if you depart when you make $5 to $10 a week !

The meeting was BRUTAL. "CMO "Commodore Messenger Org" MESSENGERS" ran the meeting.
It was an Order.
Branded in with atomic steel.
Screaming, demeaning, authoritative, humiliating.

The Message was loud and clear.

NO MORE BABIES IN THE SEA ORG!

It was written by Guillame Lesevre, a lifetime appointed "ED INT"
Executive Director, Church of Scientology International who himself banished his 2 daughters for life to go live with their grandmother. Setting a "good example."

The Flag Order I will post below is one of the most vicious policies the "church" has ever adopted. It was ordered directly by David Miscavige, and Guillame only rubber stamped the order and put it in words.

It is a denigration, a degradation of the sanctity of marriage, but worse, it resulted in the complete abuse of hundreds of children, the whole sale abortion of thousands more for the next 25 years. I will quote:

"The Sea Org is not set up to handle or take care of children. Sea Org members getting children has resulted in an unpractical burden on the Sea Org units and inhibited their efficiency. No SO installation has the job of making SO members for twenty years from now." Flag Order 3905-1 CHILDREN, SEA ORG MEMBERS AND SEA ORG ORGS, 3 April 1991

I can see it in my mind's eye.

I am parapharasing the content, but what it said was that if a couple permitted a pregnancy they would be shipped out of the US to a boarderline quasi 3rd world country existence ~~ such as the boonies of MEXICO.

Is it the view at MartyWorld that it wasn't a cult until 1990?

From Hubbard's gleeful affirming of the ease of abortions, to his disdain of "Homo Saps" and their preoccupation with families, to the inferiority of the family unit as a group, to his 'Pain and Sex' HCOB, the seeds of what happened in 1990 were planted by Scientology's founder long before.

Apparently, the Sea Org swung from infant&child neglect and abuse to a prohibition on having babies. The abuse of children in the Sea Org began with Hubbard ordering stern punishment and confinement of children who were regarded as misbehaving on the "Flagship," on which he was the "Commodore," then there was his encouragement that children be inducted into the Sea Org as young as 12, or younger, including as his personal servants.

Child care at Sea Org facilities in the 1970s, by most accounts, was certainly not good, and in 1974, Hubbard even came up with the Children's RPF. As early as 1961 there was a Children's Security Check for ages 6 - 12. Apparently, after 12, the child - an "ancient thetan in a little body" - would be eligible for an adult Security Check.

The Sea Org was a not a good place for children in the 1970s, and Scientology - and certainly the Sea Org - was a cult in 1970s.

And no doubt it became worse in 1990, but it sprang from the cult initially created by L. Ron Hubbard.

Miscavige's abuses should continue to be exposed, but having a grounding in historic reality would make that exposure even more effective.

Karen, you've begun acknowledging abusive actions and instructions from L. Ron Hubbard from the 1960s and 1970s. Don't let the MartyWorld "reality" over take what you already know about Scientology's actual doctrine and its actual past.

For me the telling thing is the bolded phrase "getting children".

Who ever wrote this has so little confront on the "2D" that they can not even refer to the process of "getting" children in common language.

Words are the sometimes the symbols for aberrations, in this case miscavige's twisted view on the species normal reproductive process.
