ESMB & Pilot communicates from "A Hidden Place" :wink2:
I much appreciate that note (in its entirety). Thank you.
I also don't have much affinity for "high stats" and ran a magazine for many years where the readership stayed on and on at about 150. To me it is a bad indicator (a minor one - more of an irritation button) that every time one posts on this board some sort of a "snob title" gets announced, based on the number of times one posts.
Two or three months ago in visiting a friend I found that he had made a close study of the Pilot's posts, and even made his own selection. That was the seed that started the "Pilot Speaks from the Dead" thread. I decided, with contributions sent to me by this friend to post them on three lists I was associated with feeling that maybe the Pilot's work had become a little forgotten. (I will certainly publish contributions by others, and there is nothing to stop anyone posting their favorite Pilot Post or other quote)
I thought of this board, but had not really made my self familiar with it, and did not have a clue how to start a thread. However talking to another friend he offered to put the first one up for me. I even lent him my password (I should have demanded a high deposit

) and he put it up. Much was my surprise when I found it was on a thread called
The old days - Aboard the Apollo - 1973. It was explained to me something like "it gets 1,000 hits a day". Whenever I look, there are less than ten people looking at it, self included, mostly they are guests, and I don't know if they are interested in "Brazil", a ship I had never heard of (I'm European) or Pilot Reposts.
So that's why you are seeing these reposts here. I intended to show to a small quality readership bright points of a man with a mixed career. It would be a pity if this deteriorated into a discussion amongst people who do not know all the facts on how the Pilot came to be in his present hidden place.
It is quality (of readership) that counts for me.
All the best
Ant (call me that if you can't remember there is not an 'h' in my first name

)
