It will soften up if the ban hammer comes out, I dislike banning (even of the Terrils of ESMB) ... I do think sending someone to the naughty corner for a specified time on each occasion that they break the rules will (eventually) get the message through and I know I wouldn't want or be able to run ESMB and of course appreciate those that do very VERY much, but I don't like to see people banned.

It just seems 'wrong' and it may even make those left become stronger in their opinions because they fear the hammer will get them next and they may as well say what they really mean while they still can.

Yeah, banning is pretty extreme if it's permanent. I missed all the stuff that got Alanzo & Zinj banned, I wasn't reading the forums for a while.

Not sure what Terril did to get hisself the boot. The worst I saw was him calling someone an asshole. Which I guess he'd been warned about a few times. So maybe it was one too many.

Zinj dedicated his FB group to Emma-bashing.

This is true. After I received an invite to the Emma Bashing group I was part of it for a few days. But I unjoined that group because is was so fucking vile with lies and bullshit about Emma.

Zinj has made the group Private, so you have to be a member in order to see what's being written.

I'm kind of glad I can't see it. I would be ranting too much.

Zinj got the permaban for being a evil insane conspiratorial fuckhead toward Emma. All done in PM's, so that Zinj is showing one side of himself to ESMB, as the reasonable intellectual, but behind the scenes in private messages, he's behaving like a moonbat wingnut accusing Emma of all kinds of OSAOSAOSA SHIT that were just straight out lies. It got to the point where Emma's only solution was to ban the guy and get him out of her life so she didn't have to deal with him any more.

Of course he'll deny all this and lie because he knows Emma will never post his PM's.

Alanzo definitely kamikazed himself in pure Alanzo style and with my assistance. He trolled me well.

Terril's a very nice guy. I was talking about him last night with a fellow critic and my friend was like "WTF? the only thing anyone objects to is that he's a Scn'ist. That makes them religious bigots".

Terril is one of the nicest most patient people I've met. He's put up with huge huge amounts of shit. So he got rude with someone who's been demonizing him and fucking with him. He got suspended (it's a temp ban) and I get that, ROCs are ROCs. Terril's not inclined to complain about that or feel bad about it. Me, either. But that is the backstory.

But he's become conspiracy minded. First it was the dreaded "Buttersquashers" ( a conspiracy and entity that resided solely in his own mind) then it was Mike Rinder pulling Emma's strings - which I highly doubt is true. He got mad about her not fessing up to this untrue allegation and he got mad over the subsequent banning and he's sounding off.

Zinj would do well to get off the conspiracy think. If he doesn't like this or that person, fine, whatever- that can happen at times. But the conspiracy think is never a good thing for any critic of Scn to indulge in.

And because I luuuurve playing devil's advocate, I will point out that as long as he was saying the sorts of things that went over well with the majority of the forum- he did have a bit of a guru thing going- everything was fine with people here. So what does that say about us? Probably nothing all that great.

I read a couple of messages here that stated that the ppl who posted them didn't come here to hear about the 'tek'. Now I feel bad about ever posting anything about Dn or Scn stuff.

It started out with a stmt by Hub that imaginary incidents were OK to encourage because they led to safety with recalling real incidents. Then it got to be about running past lives was only done in Dn. ( NOT). I got carried away 'splaing how past lives were encouraged thruout the tek by the use of the Earlier Sillyler (I mean Similar, lol) questions. Etc.

I declined to continue an exchange going on about how the Grades were only run to F/N, cog, vgi's and so were not run past life . I could have said that the majority of PCs ran out of answers on their current life situations, so the Auditor was tasked with continueing to ask for Earlier Similar and the PC would then come up with a past life answer.

I got a reprimand from Winlock for not reading books on Psychology. I don't rilly know what that was about. Well, really I do know, but it had nothing to do with the posts that i made. lol. well. I don't wish to antagonize a Mod.

Anyways, I will self censor in future and will not talk any tek drek again.

The first 3 times Terril did this I said, basically, that that was my business and none of his business, that I have very specific reasons for my wish for anonymity here on this Board and I did not appreciate him addressing me with Posts like that. The 4th time I got blunt.

If and when Teriril returns and he ever pulls that stunt on me again I well complain vociferously to the Mods...something I have never done anytime, about anything or anyone here on ESMB. To me personally there is something kinda creepy and unnerving about a feller that keeps doing that after being asked, repeatedly, not to do that. I've seen him do the same to others here, as well. But, like I said, that's just me. Maybe other folks don't mind that a bit or, even like it as Terril appears to.

He may very well be a very nice guy IRL. I know lot's of Scns and I get along with them just fine. The folks I don't like to be around and have, after a while, difficulty interacting with cordially are folks that do not extend to me some of the respect I extend to them, insist on "messing" with me or being a jerk or repeatedly conduct themselves or do something towards me which I have already told them I find personally objectionable or hurtful.

I don't for one second believe that Zinj is OSA. A person can post some amazing and off base stuff and not get along or whatever without being OSA. His wife's been discussed in the past, from what I recall her involvement with CofS was in the past.

I disagree with Zinj on many things but, FWIW, I do not see him as any sort of OSA or CofS operative.

I cannot imagine why someone would want to do that and I think the best thing might be to ask that person privately why. I'm not saying not to go to the Mods if something objectionable is posted.
