David Miscavige's abuses and violence

So, what is The Mitchell Firm all about?

Bringing an end to psychiatry:

". . . The ultimate goal of the (American Wellness) Coalition is to effectively shift the primary focus of public policy in America from disease management to the actual prevention of sickness and disease by natural means that have proven to be safe and effective . . . "

Injecting CCHR propaganda into society:

" . . . In addition, the Firm has worked with organizations to promote the implementation of new human rights education programs at the state and local levels in the U.S. to increase learning and retention of knowledge, values and attitudes about fundamental rights and liberties enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and its Bill of Rights . . . "

Getting Criminon Federally funded:

" . . . For the last several decades this country has been very tough on crime, with an extreme focus on punishment and too little attention on rehabilitation. Now it’s time to add effective rehabilitation to become tough AND smart on crime in order to reduce the recidivism rate, increase public safety and decrease the costs to taxpayers . . . "

Placing Applied Scholastics into the education system:

"The Firm is committed to pushing for policies that reward schools that ensure each and every American youth is:

  • Not just schooled but truly educated so he or she completely understands what he or she learns in public schools, and is therefore able to apply it in life;
  • Always doing well in studies so he or she never drifts down the road to drugs and crime in the first place;
  • Trained to be responsible for securing the means of his or her own survival, and to live ethical lives so he or she does not oppress others.

. . . "The Firm" (heh! no more hiding the Mafia similarities, eh?) also boasts about its work in achieving the passage of the The Special Immigrant Nonminister Religious Worker Program Act. Kinda explains all those foreign languages protesters hear down in Clearwater these days.

The list of Scilon activities goes on and on. Here's another interesting DOX from a filing earlier this year:

" . . . Worked with the client to contact members of the House to express concerns about religious discrimination and persecution that is occurring in Israel. The U.S. State Department has issued human rights and international religious freedom reports for the last ten years that detailed instances of violence against minority religious groups. The opening of the new home for the Center of Scientology Israel, a college for spiritual and religious education, was delayed by arson and two subsequent attempts at arson as well as a permit objection that appeared to be religiously-motivated. We asked members of the House to contact leaders of the Israeli government to urge them to ensure that religious discrimination does not prevent the Center from opening in Tel Aviv . . ."

I wonder if Greg Mitchell has followed this up with news that Scientology's lawyer is now awaiting trial on charges in relation to an attempt to bomb the Scientology center and blame it on another group. Oh, what fun.

BTW, these DOX are publicly available for anyone's perusal. Just Google: Scientology +"The Mitchell Firm"

WOW on the information on Greg Mitchell.
Thanks to all who contributed.

THE IRS do not want charity 501c3 influencing the Government.

Section 501(c)(3) organizations are restricted in how much political and legislative (lobbying) activities they may conduct. For a detailed discussion, see Political and Lobbying Activities. For more information about lobbying activities by charities, see the article Lobbying Issues; for more information about political activities of charities, see the FY-2002 CPE topic Election Year Issues.

It is very restricted on what Lobbying can me done.
This warrants an investigation on exactly what Greg Mitchell has done within the law.

Lots of bucks being paid to influence Capitol Hill.

Interesting stuff.

Nice WWP thread here on the subject:
Lobbyists and the laws the CoS is paying for

I am not surprised that Mitchell is Lobbying on "Religious worker" permits.
A HUGE Majority percentage of Flag Service Org Sea Org members are from foreign countries ~~ Latin America and especially Europe.
Their passports are confiscated on arrival.
Many foreign staff members do not have a clue as to the Sea Org Abuse when they arrive in the USA.

They have no documentation to come and go and are driven like slaves
for LONG LONG hours for a pittance.

"Ministerial Exemption" to ABUSE !

The Church of Scientology and the First Church of Christ, Scientist, are the only organized denominations to disclose any of their lobbying in 2010, according to the Center's research, likely because they hired outside lobbyists.

In 2010, the Church of Scientology spent $110,000
, in part lobbying in favor of the National Criminal Justice Commission Act, which would create a blue-ribbon, bipartisan commission of experts tasked with reviewing the nation’s criminal justice system and offering recommendations for reform.

Since it began lobbying in 2003, the Church of Scientology has employed Greg Mitchell as its only lobbyist. Mitchell is a former chief of staff of ex-Rep. James Rogan (R-Calif.).

Carmelo,

Just saw the horse video. I couldn't watch it all because I got upset. I absolutely ADORE horses and any animals for that matter.

My dream is to be surrounded by animals who need help because I can give them the love, admiration and respect they deserve. I would need lots of land for this.

Instead, for now, I make a fuss of Bess and Jimmy who I see in their respective fields every day on my walk through the village.

Bess is a 15 year old mare and Jimmy's an old stallion. They love their apples and carrots and the occasional treat of a Polo (English mint with a hole in it). Not to mention a good forehead scratch.

I love the fact you get in comm with your horses and ride bareback.

As hypocritical as its "Human Rights" campaigns:omg:

Almost as hypocritical as L. Ron Hubbard throwing his own wife under the bus to take the rap for crimes he conceived and directed, and then, as his wife was headed to federal prison, writing a "common sense moral code" as protective PR cover for himself.

As unpleasant as it is to confront for some, Scientology is just being Scientology.

Excerpt from the 1960 'Department of Government Affairs' by L. Ron Hubbard:

"If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to get them to sue for peace...

"The goal of the Department [of Government Affairs, renamed Guardians Office, renamed Office of Special Affairs] is to bring the government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete compliance... This is done by high level ability to control and in its absence by low level ability to overwhelm. Introvert such agencies. Control such agencies..."

From L. Ron Hubbard, 'Ability' magazine, 1963:

"We'll still be alive when the cold wind moans through the girders of the gutted buildings. And we'll still be alive when the only movement on Pennsylvania Avenue will be the frightened scurry of a piece of paper in the dusty street. The sad part of it is, they [the United States government] could have been alive too."

And From an LRH Executive Directive of 24 November 1968:

"We're going to take over mental hospitals and political guidance and the whole field of mental healing [which includes criminal rehabilitation] It may take us years, but we've got the years. We've got the tech..."

And finally, from Hubbard's 1969 'Intelligence Actions, Covert Intelligence Data Collection':

"...take over absolutely the field of mental healing on this planet in all its forms...

"Our total victory [over the 'psychs' and 'wogs'] will come when we run his organizations, perform his functions, and obtain his financing and appropriations."

Janela Webster (former head of AVC International, RTC, 1990 – 2007) made these comments in April 2010:
“I am writing this to make it known my own personal experience with the physical and emotional abuse I either witnessed or experienced from David Miscavige. … Norman Starkey: how could you stand up [on CNN] and lie about David Miscavige not laying a hand on you? I was standing right there in the office when he just walked up to you and boxed you in the ears with no concern whatsoever. And you, a senior citizen in your ‘60s? … While I have my own personal experiences of being thrown in the lake; sleep deprivation; being incarcerated on the Int base and forced to sleep on a cot in my office for 7 months; starved on a diet of rice and beans for weeks; the most destructive and painful of all was the forced disconnection from my daughter in 2001.”

With other coalition members, expressed concerns about proposed amendments in committee that might limit the program's usefulness.

FSO = Flag Service Org that Charges $8500 to elicit CRIMES and Transgressions for OT VIIs every six months !

That was the scenario at David Miscavige's Flag Service Org in 2006, when at a staff meeting, we were handed a piece of paper with all the names of foreign staff on it. It was Command Intention for anyone who's religious worker visa was expiring to do whatever they had to do to get a green card NOW.

And how to get that green card? Why, get married to a US citizen, of course!

This was a base-wide flap. We're talking Class IX auditors, Class XII auditors and top executives on that list. And funnily enough, it was brought up by the PR staff at staff meeting, as it was a "legal ruds" situation. Legal-schmegal, it was a criminal activity.

From the briefing, we were told that this was deadly serious and it was clear that we couldn't afford to lose ANY staff because it would cut across “Command Intention,” i.e., David Miscavige’s project to man-up the Super Power team
< snip>

Ergo, UNUSUAL SOLUTION: Get illegal staff married off to compound the illegality of it all.

It played out like this:

All unmarried US citizens were urged to choose one of the people on the list to marry before they were forced to leave the country.

At the same time, it was made clear to the soon-to-be-illegal workers that it was up to them to find a husband or wife, and to do it immediately. This was looked upon as their personal ethics situation.

They were given only two or three months to locate a suitable marriage partner and get married.

I don't know what happened or the magnitude of the flap that must have occurred on legal lines to have created this situation, but I do know the fallout: Many staff were married over that two-month period to someone they didn't even know before the announcement.
...a bunch of men and women hooking up not for love, but for money. Follow it through: By getting married, the FSO could maintain it’s income, sending more than a million dollars a week to... "Command" (David Miscavige) who had total dictatorial control over Sea Org reserves. That makes the spiritual leader of the Church...
PIMP-DADDY MISCAVIGE

...whoring out Class IX and even Class XII Auditors to other staff for cash, baby. As Santa would say, "Ho, ho, ho."

When a person on the list got married, “Command” considered that man or woman to have their ethics were in.

After all, wasn't this the most ethical thing to do -- whore yourself out to someone you barely knew, so that you could apply for a green card and continue working at Flag? Greatest good for the greatest number, right? Even though this type of activity is totally illegal?

All of this was happening while Flag was supposed to be delivering services at the highest levels of The Bridge, guarding the entrance onto the OT levels to keep any “suppressive people out.

Historical background note:

According the Jesse Prince, six month sec checks originated with Hubbard.

The primary motivation was money.

Hubbard had explained in 'From Clear to Eternity' that the level above OT 3 - NOTs - was lengthy and would take "years."

It's not difficult to imagine that the secondary motivation for six month checks was control.

Of those failing to complete their NOTs, Hubbard wrote in 'Ron's Journal 30', "Some religions talk about hell. It's an understatement of what really happens."

The US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) R-1 Visa Specifics · I-360, Special Immigrant Religious Workers outlines the criteria whereby religious workers can enter the US. Nowhere is Scientology Sea Org forced marriage or forced sexual intercourse contemplated in US law.

However, David Miscavige would need to demand that his slave laborers engaged in sham marriages have sexual intercourse as sexual intimacy is one criterion the INS uses to determine if a sham marriage has been conducted in order to obtain a green card.

Sham marriages conducted to get a green card are a crime in the US. However, as the law apparently does not apply to David Miscavige and Scientology, sham marriages are just another convenient fraudulent arrangement in a never ending series of convenient fraudulent arrangements that collectively constitute the Cult of Scientology.

An interesting excerpt on how the US INS checks carefully for sham marriages:

Extract from: Fiance & Marriage and Visas: A couple's guide to US Immigration

1. What Is a Sham Marriage?

A sham marriage is one that is entered into in order to get around the U.S. immigration laws. For a marriage to be valid under the law, it is not enough that the couple had a real marriage ceremony and got all the right governmental stamps on their marriage certificate. They have to intend to live in a real marital relationship following the marriage ceremony -- and prove their intention through their actions. If the couple doesn't intend to establish a life together, their marriage is a sham. (For more on what USCIS considers to be a real or bona fide marital relationship for purposes of green card eligibility, see Chapter 2, Section B.)

2. Will You Get Caught?

Detecting marriage frauds is a top priority for USCIS. USCIS officers still quote a survey from the 1980s which found that up to 30% of marriages between aliens and U.S. citizens are suspect. That survey has since been shown to be deeply flawed, but its legacy lives on.

In order to detect frauds, the immigration authorities require a lot of proof that a marriage is real, including more documentation than for other family-based immigration applicants. They subject marriage-based immigrants to a longer and more detailed personal interview and a two-year testing period for couples who have been married fewer than two years.

The government will not normally follow you around or investigate your life beyond the required paperwork and the interviews it always conducts. But it has the power to look deeply into your life if the authorities get suspicious. Government inspectors can visit your home, talk to your friends, interview your employers, and more. By requiring more of married couples than others, the government has already set up a system that gives it a lot of information about whether your marriage is real.

What is the U.S. government's view of a normal marriage? The statutes and regulations don't go into detail on this, so the following comes from a combination of court cases and attorneys' experiences.

According to USCIS, the normal couple has a fair amount in common. They share a language and religion. They live together and do things together, like take vacations, celebrate important events or holidays, and have sex and children. Normal couples also combine financial and other aspects of their lives after marriage. They demonstrate their trust in one another by sharing bank and credit card accounts and ownership of property, such as cars and houses.

The government requires applicants to prove that they share their lives in a way similar to what is described above. Applicants do this by providing copies of documents like rental agreements, bank account statements, and children's birth certificates. The government further tests the validity of the marriage by talking to the applicant and usually to his or her spouse. Every marriage-based applicant for a visa or green card (including fiancés), whether they are applying in the United States or overseas, will have to attend a personal interview with a U.S. government official.

U.S. government officials have developed amazing talents for discovering fraud by examining what look like insignificant details of people's lives. To ferret out lies, they have learned to cross-check dates and facts within the application forms and between the application forms and people's testimony...
