Right Karen - exactly this enforced "Freedom Silence" was causing Uwes horrible story from day one, when he entered the Sea Org 1979 16 years young, through his suffering with MS since 1988 doing 100 hour working weeks with one or two days off in a year, two severe accidents happened to him during this time (guess why), living in the RPF 1998-2006 always thinking "I'm not good enough for this", "I have to find my overts which are causing this illness...." until his death in a third class home in a stinking, noisy five bed room 2008.

A Pope.... well, there could be some parallels with the fifteenth century Pope Alexander VI of Borgia infamy. However, while Borgia might be described as the Michelangelo of evil debasement and abuse of power, Miscavige would be the seedy little guy behind the counter of a back street sex shop by comparison. That little prick just does not have the imagination or the intelligence to be anything other than a sick thug and perverted bully.
That poor young woman, those poor people suffering the emotional abuse and verbal filth of that twisted little mind.
What a disgusting little man Miscavige is. But he is no more than a cowardly wife beater and spineless pedophile who lucked out in assuming his position of power in that sprawling CSI empire.
The Scientologist is forever talking of overcoming 'the reactive mind' Stepping out beyond 'Bank agreement'. 'Assuming their true power as thetans'. 'Mastering the physical universe'. I am not sure that I actually ever stood back and faced the lie that I was embodying as a Sea Org member spouting those exact ideals. I shudder now.
After much self critical examination, I find that I have to say that it is the greatest or the most fundamental criticism of the workability of that huge body of Scientology 'technology' that the abused SO members at int cannot rise above the group agreement that etraps them on the Hemet Base. Indeed, entraps them in the wider Scientology world. Were it not so, would they not just up and overthrow that little prick and his closest enforcers?
I do not want to diminish the suffering that the Hemet people endure, but if there was any workability in Scientology at all these people spot the source of evil and pain and overthrow him.
Unfortunately Scientology does not have any efficacy whatsoever and the Scientologist and the Sea Org Member are no more than bullied kids in a school playground. It is an abusive system that debases and dis-empowers the adherent through conditioning and fear. It is a Pavlovian control experiment gone very wrong, or very right depending on your perspective.
I am not trying to knock anyone's belief system here. I am fully cognizant of the horrendous agony that people can go through in searching for the truth that describes their Scientology involvement. It is an torturous, excoriating process of excavation of the essence of self and the rejection of many comforting, if distorted, 'realities'.
I think the independent Scientologists are very brave and indeed follow an honorable intent. But giving up Scientology can be a bit like giving up smoking, you have to excavate and utterly deconstruct your reasons for smoking, the thousands of unconscious justifications for lighting up. Stress, feeling happy, goes nice with a pint, and on and on. Scientology ideation is, it seems, embedded in the same thought systems that make quitting the weed a momentous task.
To overthrow Miscavige and bring justice and hope to those living in those awful and demeaning circumstances, the very roots of the Scientology system have to be brought out and examined with a searing honesty. Read any of the stories of those that have rejected the system, Sallydance's strikes me as one of the most intelligent, honest and profoundly moving explorations of this effort.
I believe that Miscavige is there and remains there because Scientologists want him to be there. I mean both the 'corporate' and independent Scientologists. His presence justifies the effort to not look in, to not question core precepts, he allows them to avoid facing their addiction.
Sorry if that hurts. I do not make these comments lightly. Every independent, and indeed, every Scientologists that I have met have done nothing if not impressed me with their goodness and integrity. But I feel justified in stating these hurtful things, my independence from the Scientology thought construct was hard won.

Thanks for posting the info on Elaine and Lisa Karen. I've seen that before, but it needs to be shown again and again. I was Elaine's communicator in Melbourne, I knew her twins Kate and Lisa (and 2 other siblings and her husband Laurie who passed away) when they were gorgeous little kids, I shared a house with them. It's heartbreaking stuff, they really didn't stand a chance.

Shortly after John Brousseau fled INT BASE in 2010, a RESCUE was planned for Lisa Allen (Schroer)
She had been placed in isolation for a long time and was under the wrath and sadism of Miscavige.
Marty and JB showed up at the Guard booth at INT Base, and by some bungling error within were able to get through to Lisa on the phone. This was 2010.
Marty and JB told Lisa they were there to rescue her and that she could just walk through the Guard gates.
(Obviously there would be consequences if she was pleading to leave and she was being held against will with Marty and JB ready to alert Law enforcement).

Lisa took their phone call and told them to "Fuck off!" She was completely not able to take advantage of the rescue and chose to stay.

I just want to add that Lisa Allen, had been in isolation for 2 straight YEARS at INT Base prior to the attempted rescue, with video cameras on her 24 /7.
That she did tell Marty to go fuck himself when she could have walked out the gate gave me a strong emotional reaction.

The RPF's RPF is done in total isolation, even from other RPFers. It is inhumane and the degree of punishment has greatly increased these last 3 decades.

Sorry. You are wrong in that assumption. The still in, do not know, nor have they experienced it. That they have not experienced it, it is the hurdle to get through.
Case in point, I am one that did not know till the debbie cook email and then I decided to look. And look and look I did, and I compared my looking to what I saw and read of LRH and looked and compared at various websites and looked and compared. At all the stories, but ultimately it all boils down to me, myself, seeing the truth, and not the truth what another tells me.

I have to find my own truth on my own journey and my own pathway.
I served 35 years in this so called "church".
I experienced the constant internal warfare, the endless internal purges, the culture of chaos.
I came to the conclusion that ~~
The goals of the "church" are POLITICAL, not spiritual.
