So!? - Neutering... Well, the female Sea Orgers have 'accepted' abortions for the cause...

Will the males accept neutering?

Or is this finally enough to make the dorks start protesting the abuse?

While in the Sea Org- the females get abortions and the males are neutered what are you left with--not too much of anything--which I must say with great regret is JUST FINE by me---as these people have shown utter disdain for raising children and should not do so.....

Maybe this will be a new requirement for a project prepare. A guy has to get fixed before he can route onto the EPF.

Why not make it equal opportunity? Spay the females and neuter the males.

See? They really should encourage homosexuality. Then they wouldn't have to bother with all this complex surgery or drugs. Didn't any of them read Mission Earth? How about a little psychiatric birth control guys?

It's really getting interesting, isn't it?

BTW TP, you are in so much trouble. :coolwink:

If we were blessed enough for this to happen (at least in the church and not for the personal lives of members) they would all together dies off. Much fewer born Scientologists.

See, I knew I should'nt have posted this.

But really, what's the big deal? I said it was a rumor,in fact I said it was a silly rumor. I never said it was anything but that. :wink2:

I find it quite funny, in a sad "it could be true" kind of way. Perhaps the humor thread is the right place. Now, WHO did you hear this rumor from or did you make it up?

If I was in the SO this would be a dream cum true. Hell yes cut me...now we
can all screw as much as we want. Couple that with the idea that you are not
very likely to get diseases in the SO, since it is a mostly closed group
(a newbie would have to bring them in) and this could turn out to be a sexual
free for all.

I see more smiling faces in the SO cuming soon:happydance:

BTW I think Sneak should lighten up a bit.

HUH?

This posting is neither "news" nor "breaking", either. :whistling:

Maybe you should find out what "news" means, "Telepathic". :eyeroll:

You are not reporting any kind of factual event - you are merely forwarding somebody's b/s speculation or rumor which is wholly lacking in any specifics whatsoever. :grouch:

We have other sections of ESMB for this sort of crap.

Well, maybe Telepathic doesn't get the Pulitzer Prize for investigative journalism. But It should be added into the human interest portion of the news anyway. I mean that castration thingy. That's what happened to the Heaven's Gate members. And NOBODY was paying attention. You wouldn't want THAT to happen again now wouldya?

I do not doubt it for a second. I imagine it applies to married SO and probably takes the form of a free vasectomy.

They don't want SO couples having children. Birth control is very expensive, unless you go through social programs and that leaves a paper trail pointing at the church.

Abstinence isn't realistic. Abortions are a huge PR flap.

Sterilization is the next logical step. SO couples having children has been nothing but and expense and a nightmare. This has the ring of truth.

Worth exploring and not dismissing out of hand.

Maybe it doesn't have everything to do with birth control. Why did they make eunuchs out of the priesthood way back? It made them dedicated and less distracted. One's attention was not drawn constantly to things of a carnal nature if a young man. So this would just be an attempt at better control of S.O. members.. Besides all that testosterone couldn't be a good thing. If DM were the only one allowed to have it... just think how easy his life would be without any younger bulls in the pen. He wouldn't have to slap anyone around any more.

Anyhow, I heard it on the NEWS a few weeks ago that Obama is for legislation that would make the morning after pill an over the counter drug. Thus some young virile men may be spared.

Seriously, this was told to me by a friend who has a brother in the SO. He got the info form an ex SO who is friends with both brothers. I thought it was too wild an idea and was not going to post this. But like I said before, I could not help myself. I just wanted to know if anyone else had heard the rumor. Anyway I think crazier things have happened in that cult.

Well, I'm glad you did post this, ignore what Sneak was sayin' about where/whey ya should post it, not that he was wrong, but geeeez, I agree
with bobthesp that he shoulda lightened up on it a bit, :giggle:

Anyways: it'll be crazy if they really DO apply that policy, huh?

I can see it now, when all of these sterile men and women leave the SO and wanna have babies....:sadsigh:

Is this really that much of a stretch from forced abortions!

It's not (nor is anything) much of a 'stretch' as far as possibility, but, I'd consider it on the low order of probability given Hubbardism's basic 'immaterial thetan' theories. This leads to a bias against 'physical' alterations or even the concept of physical alterations producing 'spiritually beneficial' results.

Not that one would expect consistency in Scientology Theory, but, most inconsistency exists for purely pragmatic purposes. Including 'forced abortion'. Ron had quite a button on abortions, especially 'attempted abortions' from Dianetics on, but, for the Sea Org, it's pure pragmatism. Babies and children are a distraction and potential liability, so, eliminating them is just eliminating 'other fish to fry' and potential legal liabilities. However, the Cadet Org wasn't actually eliminated till the '90s, at which point either absolute celibacy would be necessary (attempted, but impossible to successfully enforce) or, contraception (expensive, and, in the form of oral contraceptives, implants etc. too 'druggy') would be the only alternatives.

So, forced abortions become the lesser of the available evils, and pragmatically, that's what the SO gets.

Castration is a potential PR liability far greater than forced abortions (which are bad enough, which is why they're kept secret) and unlikely to be particularly effective, as well as running contrary to the 'all spirit' paradigm, so, I'd consider them improbable.

Yes. The CofS is always careful not to say or do anything that would cause bad PR, as we all know....

Castration's not effective in preventing conception? Damn, I'd better do some basic rethinking here.

(Just joking - you're quite right Zinji.)
