This thread is just so totally funny.

Cof$ and FZ yatter yatter yatter about 'freedom', but as soon as someone says something they don't like, they grab for a rule book and start calling for censure.

"Be willing to experience anything".

So funny - totally lulzy.

Me - I'm just a happy little Troll - you can call me anything you like.

This is an awesome thread! :D

Bad or inflammatory language is not harmful to anyone in this situation.
I agree.

Are people here so fragile that they fall apart when someone sounds angry?

If you can't cope with it go suck a lollypop and play with yer stuffies.

Apparently some of them pretend to be when it suites their agenda. Those same ones can sure dish it out when they want to though.

I am a bit torn about the freezoners and other tech pushers posting here. On the one hand their silly "wins" and "success stories" are useful in observing scientology at work, but if you try to point out the flaws in their logic they get all huffy about you "attacking' their personal beliefs, and you get in to an endless twisted discussion about what they really meant, etc...:banghead:

It's like you always have to walk on eggshells around a scientologist. They seem to want only "Good Roads, Fair Weather" communication. They don't seem to find any thing funny about their funny ideas and don't tolerate critisism. Hubbard couldn't either, and the tech is laced with that humourless intolerant attitude.

Scientologists are well known for their humorectomies.

I say it's good to have freezoners, and even Churchies, on the board.

The thinking can be examined, and their behavior can be discussed and questioned.

That's something we could never do inside the cult.

And, some freezoners welcome this examination and questioning.

It's good to see that, too.

The question under "discussion" above is whether the ESMB has the right to censor posts laced with profanity or otherwise deemed inflammatory. It seems, sadly that when such "communication" is allowed it predominates, and reasoned argument goes out the window. I think and trust you can express yourself as above and make your point.
My experience is that those who use curses and insults to communicate do so because they are unable to press their points intelligently. So you end up with a board that doesn't entertain or instruct, unless you are in training as a longshoreman.

Maybe there should be a rule (notice I didn't say policy) that a post destined to be censored can be returned and edited by the original writer so that the inflammatory and viciousness is taken out, and the substance of the post can then be posted. You know, less talk, more rock.

These OT's are like glass spiders - it's hard to see how you can touch one without breaking him/her.

'Wogs' are much more robust, as far as I can see.

'These 'tech people' are sly - playing the big OT 'tech terminal' one minute and switching to supervictim the next.

The fact that some people frequent this board and recruit people here and elsewhere, and charge them for services is a big problem that isn't going to go away.

They are not ex - scientologists, they are 'tech wannabes' fishing for followers.

Most of them did not leave the Church voluntarily, under protest, but were booted out for being in the churches view, 'trouble makers', so they are Cof$ rejects.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, you can be sure it's a duck.

If it's using an e-meter and talks scinospeak, you can be sure it's a scientologist.

"But it's the church that's out - ethics, the tech works"

Sorry - you haven't got a clear to show anybody.

"It all went bad because they didn't follow LRH policy."

Who wrote the fair game policy?

Who set up the RPF?

You haven't got a leg to stand on, and deep inside you know it.

Cof$ rejects:lol:

But I think you should be allowed to post your nonsense here, as long as others have a right to laugh at you and troll you.

:omg:

I agree 100%.

Interesting area to view, Emma. I, personally, take every FreeZoner as a case-by-case situation. Some buy into Hubbard as personal messiah, some see him as a source of some valuable information, and some see him as a distorter of earlier "truths".

Personally, I consider Scientology to be virulent, and therefore any person who ascribes to it goes under a microscope when they communicate to me, moreso than any other sort of contributor. I am not concerned that FreeZoners contribute, but I would be concerned that the site would be seen as a FreeZone communication channel.

I support the right of the FreeZone to exist, and find many FreeZoners to be interesting people, but it should be kept firmly separate, as they are NOT ex-scientologists. They are CURRENT scientologists operating outside the auspices of the Church, and not NECESSARILY because they object to policy or tech, but often only because they object to IMPLEMENTATION.

Although it probably isn't "part of" the discussion here I've never been convinced the "moderators" here are anything other than sock puppets but as someone who appreciates anonymity online -- I can understand the need for said socks since I have sewn over four or five hundred over the net in the last couple years for various reasons; these are at the least a positive use of sock puppetry. On topic -- the debate over whether the Freezone should be "allowed" here (can you REALLY disallow someone in this day/age?) should have happened a long time ago. Having that conversation now seems moot to me since they've become so involved in the site/forums it's probably impossible to do this.

What do you expect?

Look at my Avatar.

"Pomp and Circumstance" is my theme song!

I'm not knocking it, this thread has been a riot. The drama:melodramatic: , the anger, ,the eggshell walking, or lack of it, on both sides of the argument. Views have been exchanged. Hopefully we can agree to disagree.

That's what YOU say it's about.
