Well you have to recognize this is the most hilarious of threads!

Every person who has posted is doing what they are protesting/objecting/attempting to solve.

Each is proselysing.

Each is selling.

Each is processing.

Some of these actions are of course negative - some are positive.

Let the games continue! :)

I actually asked the moderators to take this down because I said it was intentionally insulting and inflammatory.

After some thought, though, I've changed my mind on that. It was more than a little hypocritical of me to ask that. Sorry.

I thought, for sure, that a Freezoner would make this comment first, even after making two explicit clarifications I made that this was not what I was saying.

Instead, it is the board owner who said it first.

Nice one, eh?

Are you certifiably insane, or just pretending?

Look up "thought disorder' in a good medical textbook.

What you say makes no sense, and points to some pathology in you that you don't seem to be aware of.

Get help.

So FZ'ers, please think about what you can do to make your presence here congruent with the fact that this is an ex - scientologists board.

Here's the big question:

If you are not here to recruit people and sing the praises of Scientology, why are you here, and what can you contribute?

None of these are trick questions, and I'm not asking so that I can duff you up when you answer.

As we know, there are plenty of FZ and independent boards; so why do you like to come here?

Those who are here to help themselves recover, and help others recover deserve a lot of consideration, in my view.

But as I say, I'm not into attacking free speech, and I'm not into expelling people, so I would like to hear something from you about how you can take part in debate on an ex - scientologists forum without undermining the basic purpose of the board or undermining the recovery of people who've been hurt by the subject that you hold dear.

My own perspective is that FZ is a very loose term, and many people use it to describe applications which are NOT scientology, although they may have been developed by people who had insights while considering themselves scientologists.

If they are not considering themselves scientologists, but still have some beliefs connected to clearing, I think they're fine to be here. It's a question of whether they are committed to the subject scientology: if so, they're a scientologist. If not, they're either an ex, or a "never has been". To me, it's all about whose purposes they are executing. Might seem esoteric, but that's my determining factor.

Recovery, to me, from cultic thinking, isn't like bodily sickness: there is no atrophy. Hardware hasn't been altered. It's strictly a software ("programming") problem, and can be rectified by spotting reality, and where they are departing from it. They need to train themselves in "obnosis", for real.

Do you see the little smiley Alanzo? Don't you recognise extreme frustration? Why keep pushing? You seem hellbent on confrontation with Emma now. Don't you want ESMB to be here? :confused2:

Thanks very much for your answer.

i understand your points about recovery.

It seems to me to be about looking through your own eyes at the world, rather than through someone else's filters, and then referring to your own judgement of what you see and feel, rather than the cults philosophy.

'Obnosis' is a great word and a useful skill.
